The name on my iCloud account was spelt wrong when the guy in the Apple store set it up for me. Can I delete this account and set up a new one? I have credit on AppStore will this affect it?

You need to reset the password for the "old" account, and then use that to turn off iCloud. Then you will be able to sign in with your new ID.

If so, you can't change it. You can setup a completely new iCloud account under a different AppleID, or you can setup an email alias to your current iCloud account.

It doesn't change on your device automatically. To change the iCloud ID on an iOS device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. What do you mean with the wrong email address?
- If it is not your account on your Mac, then just sign out and then sign in using your account in "System Preferences > iCloud".
If you want to change your current email address which is associated with your iCloud account, please make sure that you turn of "Find My iPhone", "Find My Mac" on all your devices before you change your email address, then go to https://appleid.apple.com sign in and then change your Apple ID/iCloud ID. Please note that email addresses which end with @mac.com, @me.com and @icloud.com cannot be changed.

I just upgraded my MacBook from OS X 10.6.8 to Mountain Lion so that I could stream from my other devices (iPhone and iPad) to my MacBook. After making it through the upgrade process, I realized that I used the wrong email address for my iCloud username when starting up on the MacBook. My iPhone, iPad, and iTunes are under my Hotmail email address and I accidently used my Gmail email address for the MacBook. Is there any way I can merge these two icloud accounts together? I tried changing my account information to add the other email address, but wasn't allowed because another account was using the name (duh). If I can't merge them, how could I change the MacBook from the Gmail address to the Hotmail address so that all my devices are on the same icloud account? It'd be nice if I could keep the free 5GB of storage that comes with my purchase of the software, but I'd rather lose the storage than not be able to stream.

To change accounts on your Mac, go to System Preferences, sign out of the current account, then sign into the new account. When you sign out of the current account it will delete synced data from your Mac. Assuming your data (such as contacts, calendars, etc.) is in the other iCloud account, it will be synced to your Mac when you sign into this account.

Hi all. My first Apple product was an iPad (original). At the time I had to set up an account. I used an email address that is no longer active. I've got a new Apple ID - which references my current active email address.
I also have an iPhone. The Apple ID is current, and I'm able to use it to purchase APPS, and login to view my profile, etc.
But, in Settings on the iPhone, when I click on iCloud, and the Account, it lists the original account name (which is the no-long active email address) and a blocked-out password which I don't remember. I'm unable to view Payment Information because it requires a password. I can no longer get wireless on my iPad because the Payment Information credit card has expired.
So - in sum - my ICloud info is wrong and inaccessible, but my Apple ID is accessible. What should I do????
