ICloud account reset by Apple. Lost my notes. - Aka: Apple, what are you doing to your customers?
Hi.
I am very disappointed. I connected my iPhone two days ago and I discovered my notes weren't there anymore.
Ok, I thought, I have a backup. But nope, there was a single backup dated: Today.
No old notes.
I called Apple and they told me there was nothing to do. I went to iCloud and my account disappeared. There was a box saying 'Connect a device to start using iCloud'.
What?
I called Apple again. I'm using iCloud as a backup for my notes since February, but unfortunately I didn't know notes were so risky to handle.. I didn't loose anything but those.. but they were really, really important! They just say to me to control my iCloud account on my Mac. It was off.
What?
I never turned it off, madam, I say. She keeps telling me she can't do anything. I then connect my Mac on her suggestion and.. voilà, suddendly also my iPhone gets back into the iCloud account. I ask: okay, if my iphone was connected, why iCloud wasn't showing it before like it has always been doing?
Why iCloud was asking me to add a device and then when I add one suddendly every device I had in iCloud appears again back on their place?
She doesn't know. She can't help me anymore further.
I say I want to talk to a higher level but she says she's the highest.
I want to know why my iCloud account has been reset, madam. Apple must give me an answer for this.
She said she's gonna talk with some engineer and let me know.
No answer so far.
Is there a way to access the iCloud SERVER backup [not mine on my computer] of the 3rd of April through some Apple super-engineer or super-boss or superwhatever and have the notes Apple DID loose?
Or I should just call a lawyer and find the way to force Apple do it before that backup is overwritten?
Unfortunately, Apple will not help.
I have attempted to get resolution to my icloud problems and they just give me the runaround that their engineers are investigating.
They probably dont know how to fix icloud and are just stringing us along!
Probably the worst service i've ever gotten!
Icloud is a failure, which Apple is unable to fix!

I have been waiting since months for the new IPad4G 64 Gbt. ON recommendation of Apple Support I have changed my IPad 4G last week in the hope that something was wrong with the firts one I bought.
The one I have now has the same problems. WiFi is working however 4G not at all. Apple what can I do? What are you doing for the thausands of German Apple fans who have bought a IPad4G and can not use it. We need a solution NOW. I´m working with this tool and need to be able to rely on it.
Thanks for a feed back.JKerki wrote:
They had not heard about the problem, however made no problem to change it for an other one. Apple Support Germany pretendet not to know about this problem. However the web is full of complaints.
It would be advisable for Apple to react officially on it. € 799, - for something that doesn´t function is no fun :-((
Isn't replacing your iPad Apple "officially" acting on it? -
What am I supposed to do. I am leaving for Japan on business on Monday and your upgrade has screwed up my IPad.
"No Service", how can I rely on your products for business! Apple more than anyone should know what happened to Blackberry.
did anyone test the release!HHave you tried resetting your network settings? Worked for me. Settings> general> reset> reset network settings

Can you help?
I know it is not the best advice, but the easiest way would be to delete your app from your device and then to re-download it from the App Store again by using your new Apple ID.

Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account and request another email.

How can i delete an old iCloud account and start using my own using my Apple ID? If I don't have the old password??
If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library). When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device). -
Can someone please tell me how I am supposed to sign in to my iCloud account. It tells me it recognises my Apple account but it isn't my cloud account. Please keep answers simple as I've looked at other responses and they completely lose me.
I have a laptop with Windows 7

Simple I was led to believe I could store stuff in iCloud without the need for a Mac thereby making space on my laptop. You live and learn.
You can, iPhones/iPads and Macs work, as do PC's once there is an open account.
This is typical Apple to be honest. The only reason I use iTunes is for my iPod. Perhaps I need to find another mp3 player.
You do not need iCloud for iTunes, I am sorry that you misunderstand but iCloud and iTunes do not require each other.
I'm certainly not paying the inflated prices that Apple charge for their laptops that are quite frankly no better than my Dell.
I've had Dells, they are worth what you pay, no more. -
I have an icloud account. Do I still need to have my apple tv 1st gen linked to my itunes on the computer for it to synch new additions to my library?
I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. iCloud and iTunes Match are not the same thing and they serve different functions. I'm not even sure a 1st gen. Apple TV can use iTunes Match. Perhaps you should post your question to the Using Apple TV forum.

Recently, I discovered I have two iCloud accounts. Is it possible to change the Apple ID for one of the accounts to match the other account, without losing the information from either account.
thanksWelcome to the Apple Community.
It's a little tricky to move data from one iCloud account to another but it can be done. But what makes you think you have 2 iCloud accounts. -
Problem: Help! I’m seeing my iCloud account two or more times in Notes and Contacts!
Solution:
Open [System Preferences] >
Open [iCloud] >
Uncheck [Contacts] for each duplicate iCloud you see in Contacts. ex. My iCloud Account is listed three times = uncheck Contacts twice. The checkbox next to Contacts will fill back in again automatically.
Uncheck [Notes] for each duplicate iCloud account you see in Notes. (same instructions for Contacts; repeat the steps for each duplicate account)
Why is this happening?
It has to do with iCloud Keychain. If you set up iCloud keychain on more than one Mac, it appears to duplicate the iCloud account in each respective application once per Mac. (ex. 2 Macs = 1 Duplicate). The good news is that the above fix appears to be permanent and does not reoccur.Minor addition:
I’m setting up a new Mac—how can I avoid this?
Turn on iCloud in System Preferences (SP)
When asked if you wish to set up Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Find my Mac, et al., uncheck all boxes, and click Next.
Check the “Keychain” box first, then check all other boxes except Contacts and Notes.
Within a few minutes, these boxes will check themselves. -

I bought an iPhone 5; 16GB and after updating to ios 7 am unable to bypass the activation screen because am told is locked to the owner's iCloud account but I can't contact the owner. What can i do to rectify the situation. Bought the phone for $500.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5818:
What if I purchase a device that is still linked to the previous owner's account?
Contact the previous owner as soon as possible and ask them to erase the device and remove it from their account. For complete instructions, read how to remove a device from a previous owner's account.
