ICloud add-in doesn't show up in Outlook 2007 Trust Center

I have installed iCloud two times so far and the add-in doesn't appear at all. Does anybody know how to get/install the add-in?

I have the exact same problem, but no answer, just glad to have found that "I'm not alone". Lol

  • Can't get add-ins to show up in Outlook 2007 at all.

In the Outlook 2007 Trust Center Add-Ins, the Itunes add ins just won't show up at all. As such, I can't sync anything from Outlook. I have tried directing the COM Add-in manager to the .dlls, and sometimes Outlook says it's not a valid add in, other times it just does nothing. I have uninstalled all Apple components over and over and reinstalled Itunes with no success in getting the add ins to populate the Com manager or the disabled list. Tried renaming the Apple SyncSetting folders listed in other posts and no luck after reinstall then either. Any suggestions anyone. My 14 days is almost up.

    Hi Sue...not Steve here...
You don't need to lock the image first, but it can aid in not selecting it for a bit.
    Lock the image.
Create a rectangle covering the whole image.
Place the shape, or text, for the hole you want onto the image.
If text, make it an outline.
Select both shapes or the rectangle that is over the entire image and the object you want to produce the "hole" in the image with and make a Compound Path (Object > Compound Path > Make or Cmd+8 or Ctrl+8).
Unlock the image and select both the image and the compound path, then make a mask (Object > Clipping Mask > Make or Cmd+7 or Ctrl+7).
    Take care, Mike

  • ICloud add-in is not showing in outlook

iCloud add-in is not showing in outlook after I installed iCloud control panel. I don't see the refresh button in outlook so my contacts are not syncing. I'm using win 7 ultimate with outlook 2007. I even tried with outlook 2010 and iCloud would not even see that outlook was installed on the computer. I really looked all over the web but can't find anyone with a similar problem.
    Can anyone help?

I had this problem and have just now solved it. Here is what I did.
My system is Win 7 Ultimate with Outlook 2013 64 Bit.
    1. Unchecked the tick in front of "Mail, Contacts, Calenders and Tasks" in the iCloud Control Panel
    2. Signed out of the iCloud Control Panel
    3. Uninstalled the control panel
    4. Rebooted
    5. Access the "Mail" applet in the Windows 7 Control Panel
    6. Clicked the "Show Profiles" button
    7. Clicked on the "Add..." button and created a new profile
    8. I set this "New" profile as the default one by selecting "Always use this profile" and picking the new profile just created
    9. Downloaded the iCloud control panel and reinstalled it
    10. Let the iCloud Control Panel do its thing.
    11. Setup your me.com or icloud.com address when prompted
    12. Start up Outlook
    13. iCloud will start up and setup the Outlook System to work with iCloud
    14. Problem Solved
    15. Add all your other email accounts now

  • New inbox rule not showing up in Outlook 2007 client

I have made a rule for testing with the Exchange Management Shell. The rule worked. My problem lies in that the end-users have Outlook 2007 for the client software but the rule I create isn't visible (though it is working). The end-user needs to be able
to switch the rule on and off still. The rule does show up in the Outlook Web App however. I can't figure out why the rule isn't list in the Outlook 2007 client. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Hi AMartin89,
    Thank you for your question.
Did you rebuild profile to check if the issue persist?
Did the issue occur on all users?
Could you post command which you create Inbox rule on PS?
What is you outlook version? We could update outlook to latest version to check if the issue persist.
We could configure profile on outlook 2010 to check if the issue persist.
If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.
    Best Regard,
    Jim

  • My appearance add-on doesn't show enough of the entire picture, so how can I see the whole picture?

I download a few delightful "Appearance" add-ons -- full size -- however only a miniscule part of them show on my screen. And the pert that shows is covered by the tool bars. I have already given up displaying them on my screen, and I've decided I'd like to add them to my photo collection if that would be allowed. Is there a way I could simply download them for wallpaper or file away to look at now and then without signing a contract or anything? I have no desire to post them anywhere or claim them as my own creations.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

“Persona” — a type of Apperance add-on — is just a fancy name for a toolbar background. You can show more of the image by adding more toolbars:
    # Right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose '''Customize'''.
    # In the window that opens, click the '''Add New Toolbar''' button, then enter a name for it when prompted.
    # Drag the ''Flexible Space'' icon onto the new toolbar.
    # Click the '''Done''' button.
The list of installed personas is stored as the ''lightweightThemes.usedThemes'' preference.
    # Type ''about:config'' in the address bar and press Enter.
    # Press the big button to bypass the warning.
    # In the Search box, paste ''lightweightThemes.usedThemes''
    # In the search results, right-click ''lightweightThemes.usedThemes'' and choose '''Copy value'''.
    # Paste the value in a text editor like Notepad to get a better look. “headerURL” is the image used for the top part of the window (the navigation and bookmarks toolbars), while “footerURL” is the image used for the bottom part of the window (the add-on bar).
Maybe you were hoping for the functionality provided by this extension.

  • Add bookmark doesn't show folders

MBP 2.6 GHz (2008), 10.6.8, Safari 5.0.5,   When I select Add Bookmark...   I get a dropdown that shows the webpage, and below that Cancel and Add buttons.   Above all of these there should be a pull down with a way to select which folder to store the bookmark in.   If I click around where this should be it finally shows up.  How do I get it to not be hidden to begin with?

Above all of these there should be a pull down with a way to select which folder to store the bookmark in.
You can do that if you update to Safari 5.1

  • ICloud on Windows 7, Corporate AD, Proxy, and Outlook 2007

See lots of discussions around this and since I managed to get mine to work, wanted to post this for all. Hope it helps.
Originally Posted this as a response to another thread. This is all trying to get iCloud control panel 2x and now 3.0 to work in a corporate AD environment with a Proxy on WIndows 7 as an admin on my box.
Here is what I found and my solution, I have reproduced this now twice since the same issues were repeated when I recently upgraded the control panel to 3.0. Both times, after fighting through all of the other issues, the real trick to finish it all up was doing the synch in safe mode (with networking).
    1. Proxy issues
My proxy requires authentication and is synched with our corp Active Directory environment. If the password for your proxy is wrong, you type it incorrectly during setup, or your AD account pasword expires and you have to change it, there are two ways to get iCloud to prompt you for your proxy id and password (which in my case is my AD domain acct and password. Our proxy syncs with AD).
Stop the BONJOUR service - BONJOUR is the service responsible for the synch and network data retrieval. Once the service is stopped delete the keychain.plist file (located in \AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Preferences/ - it is the file that contains the proxy info) When BONJOUR is restarted it should prompt you.
If it does not, uninstall it and re install BONJOUR and iCloud - BONJOUR will install as part of it. See below. Make sure you delete all of the data under the \AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Preferences/
    2. Spinning wheel -
All my endless spinnings were, I found out using a network packet sniffer side by side with procmon, were because of iCloud not having the proxy auth right and trying and failing over and over again. Instead of error-ing out though, it just kept trying, over and over and over and over.... See above.
    3. Your setup couldn't be started because of an unexpected error. If your click the button to send report, you see the error in the message as "Error: 0x80004005: _Run: Could not remove msgservice"
This was after I got the proxy auth to work, it was installed and I had rebooted to complete everything. First startup, it connected to iCloud and had downloaded everything (in my case, it was just the calendar appt's and the contact photos). When it completed it switched to the last stage, said finishing just for a sec and then gave the above error. It gave me the option to retry but thats it. Tried running as admin, tried it many times - but always with this error. Using procmon, I could see everything being written to the temp dir, then the registry updated, then my outlook profile being accessed before the error. This is solved by booting to safe mode with networking and re running the sync.
In order, here is what I did to get it to work
Uninstall everything Apple - BONJOUR, everything, and start from scratch.
    Delete everything under C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Preferences/
    Re install iCloud
Should prompt you for your apple id then prompt you for your proxy id during setup
Type your proxy id and pass correctly or make sure you are doing this in a place where you do not need a proxy, like your home WIFI
Reboot when the install completes and.....
.....boot to safe mode with networking
Launch iCloud control panel as admin from the START menu
Sign in, Start Sync, finish, and rejoice in your glory!
Reboot back to normal Win 7 when done.
    Good luck!

    Hi richardd_x,
Your solution worked like a charm! Thanks a lot! I had to delete all the files under \AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Preferences/, and after that and a restart I was prompted for my proxy PW.
    @Apple stuff,
Put this information in a Knowledge Base article, as it is working! Also you should put an option button on the iCloud Control Panel where you can change proxy settings, like PW, or Bonjour should automatically prompt you for new credentials when authentication fails. Isn't this obvious?!
    Thanks,
    Peter

  • Doesn't sync correctly with Outlook 2007!

All I wanted was a cute nice looking cell phone that syncs with outlook, and after I found it! It appears that Nokia my beloved company maybe has a bug in its software!
I have a Nokia 6300, MS Office 2007 and I'm using Nokia PC suite 6.84.10.3 which works fine until I try to sync the following :
If I create a "recurring appointment or event" and set the "recurrence pattern" for example to be the 29'th of every month (let’s call this pattern 1, this will work just fine) , but If I set the "recurrence pattern" to be the last Friday of every 1 month (let’s call this pattern 2) then this will sync with the wrong date (the date will be the date of pattern 1 although pattern 2 is selected)!!
This is really an issue for me, I really rely on my calendar and I really like my 6300 except for the fact that it syncs in a wrong matter.
*** Note: by the way I used the newest Nokia PC suite and I still have the same issue.
Guys can anyone suggest I real solution!? Thank you in advance.
I have a attached a picture, the event that I created when taking the snap shot will occur on (mm/dd/year) (12/28/2007) and it will be a Friday by coincidence but it will occur on (1/28/2008) which is a Monday. So this isn't syncing correctly.

I have exactly the same problem, and it is a big issue for me as well. Possibly more so as I had suggested that the whole company move over to the 6300.
The problem is definitely with the recurrence of type 3rd Thursday of every month Etc. I get the appointment, on the same date as the original "seed" appointment in outlook wiht the time replaced with 00:00 to 24:00. Sadly this has made this phone unusable and I have had to revert to my old Nokia 6230i which does not have this problem.
I am using Outlook 2007 6300 Firmware 5.5 and PC Suite version 6.85.12.0. I only sync one way from outlook to the phone.
Sadly this could be fixed quite easily if appointments of this sort were converted by PC Suite into "one off" type appointments.
I would really like a solution to this ASAP please.

  • Outlook 2007 doesn't show icloud service running.  Does anyone know what the dll for this service is so it can be manually added to outlook?

Outlook 2007 doesn't show the icloud service running in Windows 7 within outlook.  Does anyone know what the dll for this service is so it can be manually added to outlook?   I've installed the icloud control panel app and set it up to synch everything, but after initially downloading my icloud calendar, it won't process any calendar updates (new entries made on either iphone 4 on ios 5 or outlook).
So since the control panel installed, but the service doesn't show running in outlooks "trust center" add-ins list, anyone know the actual dll file it would point to so I can see if I can add it the hard way?

I had the same issue and figured it out.  First you have to start Outook as administrator.  To do this, shift and right-click on outlook and click run as administrator.  Next you need to enable Hard-disabled add-ins:
    Hard-Disabled Add-Ins
Hard disabling can occur when an add-in causes the application to close unexpectedly. It might also occur on your development computer if you stop the debugger while the Startup event handler in your add-in is executing.
    To re-enable an add-in
In the application, click the File tab.
    Click the ApplicationName Options button.
In the categories pane, click Add-ins.
In the details pane, verify that the add-in appears in the Disabled Application Add-ins list.  The Name column specifies the name of the assembly, and the Location column specifies the full path of the application manifest.
In the Manage box, click Disabled Items, and then click Go.
Select the add-in and click Enable.
    Click Close.
Then you need to activate it.
    To re-enable an add-in
In the application, click the File tab.
    Click the ApplicationName Options button.
In the categories pane, click Add-ins.
In the details pane, verify that the add-in appears in the Inactive Application Add-ins list.  The Name column specifies the name of the assembly, and the Location column specifies the full path of the application manifest.
In the Manage box, click COM Add-ins, and then click Go.
In the COM Add-Ins dialog box, select the check box next to the disabled add-in.
    Click OK.

  • My iphone calendar stopped syncing with outlook 7 thru the cloud. I clicked on tools, trust center, add ins. icloud add in had been disabled. I tried to re enable it but was told that this could only be done by administrator. I am the admin. Help????

My iphone calendar stopped syncing with outlook 7 thru the cloud. I clicked on outlook tools, trust center, add ins. I noted that icloud add in had been disabled. I tried to re enable it but got a message that this change could only be done by administrator. I am the administrator. Help???? Any ideas?

I do not believe this. I have been going nuts trying everything as in prior posts, and this has been a problem for users at least since 2010. I had this problem a long time ago and didn't pay too much attention to it because it was my iPad, and I depended on my BB a a base calander to feed Outlook. I became very concerned within the past week when I switched my BB to iPhone 5s, and was carrying both because I still needed to carry the BB for new calander enteries to sync up to Outlook 2007.
I had followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 and delete the apple s/w and re-installed. But according to the previous post, it appears that the issue was in the data - which was not deleted during all these deinstalls nor overridden with the new installs.
I am a XP user, so my files are in documents and settings/(username) both application data and \local settings\application data, but I also have safari and quicktime installed as well and didn't want to just blow entire high level folders if I didn't have to.
So I followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 then purged several apple folders in my windows profile and this definitely blew apple computer\preferences away. What I did was a little clumbsy, and desperate, but it worked. I am finally back in business.
However, I would like to see someone fine tune this and determine if it was just the preferences folder that needed to be deleted so that iTunes needed to rebuild it, or if there were other filoes that were apparently corrupted away, just to get this to the minimum number of steps to fix the issue.
BUT THANKS - This has been the most HELPFUL thread to get me syncing agai!!!!

  • After changing contact photo on iPhone, photo no longer shows up in outlook

I had my contact photos all setup on my iphone, and syncing correctly with iTunes and showing up correctly in Outlook 2007. The photos are stored on the iPhone, and set either by selecting the photo and doing "Assign to Contact", or in Contacts, Edit, Edit (the picture) and "Choose Photo". They would show up as a thumbnail in the Outlook 2007 Business Card view, and also in the detail when you double-click a contact. This part of the process hasn't changed.
What has changed is iOS4. Now, when I go in and change a contact's photo on the iPhone, it no longer shows up correctly in Outlook 2007. It shows a blank space when showing the Business card view, but shows the photo correctly in the detail if I double-click a contact. Even if I change it back to the photo that it was, it still won't show correctly in Outlook 2007 Business Card view.
Contacts whose photos I haven't changed since iOS4 show correctly in both places in Outlook 2007.
Anyone else seeing this or have a fix?

    Hi!
I'm having the same troubles and after searching for a while i found
    the following solution:
    In short (from http://gyoo.com/blog/?p=48)
    First, some figures:
    iPhone camera resolution: 1600×1200 (72dpi)
    iPhone screen resolution: 320×480 (160dpi)
iPhone contact picture display size: 64×64 (160dpi)
iPhone contact picture display size on call: 320×270 (160dpi)
    Outlook import resolution: 72×96 (72dpi)
    - On your PC, resize the image contact to 320×320 (160dpi),
knowing that 25 pixels on the top and bottom will be semi-transparent when on call.
    - On your PC, create a folder iPhone Photos\Contacts and move your contact photos inside Sync the photos into your iPhone with iTunes through the Photos tab.
    - Select the iPhone Photos folder as source.
    - Manually associated the photo to your contact on the iPhone
    (Edit ->Add Photo->Choose Existing Photo)
    - Sync back the iPhone with iTunes.
The photos will be associated automatically into Outlook with the good resolution this time.
    Regards
    Harry

  • ICloud doesn't show up in Numbers open file dialog box

How do you add iCloud to the Numbers open file dialog box? It doesn't show up for me. I've already set up iCloud in my system preferences and enabled document synching.

Unfortunately, since I don't use iWork on my Mac I'm not going to be much help.  But unless there's something in Numbers settings that you need to enable to use iCloud like you do in the iOS version, all you should need to do is enable Documents & Data in System Preferences>iCloud, which you said you already did.  You might try unchecking this setting in System Preferences, restarting your Mac, then checking it again to see if that makes any difference.  That is a standard troubleshooting step for other iCloud syncing issues.

  • Tried to install newest itunes, crashed during install, and now crashes my computer every time i try to uninstall.  Itunes doesn't show up in the Add/remove prog list at all.  tried to roll back over a month, still crashing.

So I tried to update to the newest Itunes.  It locked up my computer part way thru the install.  Black screen, computer turned itself off.  Now anytime i try to do anything with Itunes it shuts my computer down.  I can start up fine in safe mode but when i try to uninstall from there, Itunes doesn't exist.  the other apple programs do, but no itunes.  when i try to uninstall the other programs in safe mode it tells me it can't because the windows installer isn't loaded.  I have system restored to over a month ago and itunes still doesn't show up in add/remove programs.  however, i can open itunes.  it just tells me a file didn't get installed and to uninstall and reinstall.  So, how do i remove a progam that doesn't think it exists and crashes my computer when i try to do anything related to it???  I'm out of ideas.  running windows vista.

I think my problem is fixed now.
For the fun of it, I reinstalled iTunes 9.2.1 today (using the exact same installer as I did yesterday), but this time I didn't uninstall iTunes first. As expected, iTunes recognized my iPhone (as I expected it to, until my next reboot).
A few minutes later, Software Update showed up and among the updates is "iPhone SDK Compatibility Update". The description indicates that installing this should fix an issue where iPhones and iPod touches aren't recognized by iTunes. Isn't that interesting?
I installed that update and most of the others waiting for me (including Java, Safari 5.0.1, and a few others - not 10.6.4 though, due to the issues with nVidia graphics cards). After the reboot, I started iTunes, and it saw my iPhone!
So, if you're having this same problem, I'd recommend tracking down this update and see if that does the trick for you. Hopefully it will.

  • Bought two songs from iTunes store on my iPhone 4s. Tried bringing the songs from my phone to my computer iTunes through iCloud but it doesn't even show the option to choose music?

My computer has been authorised and has the newest version of iTunes. My iPhone shoes the option of choosing my computer's music but my computer doesn't even show the option of music, but shows apps, movies, tv-shows and books. When i choose the option of find music to download from my phone, it says i have downloaded all yet i haven't and the music isn't in my library.
This was my first time when i bought anything from iTunes store and it also shows in my account information that i have bought these two songs but when trying to download them from my iCloud it doesn't work. Also when i click on the songs in my iTunes store on my computer, it says i have bought them but doesn't show the option of playing them. Is the problem in my iPhone or is this something to do with the songs' copyrights?
