Icloud and email questions

Today I changed my Apple ID email. Why does icloud still show my old email, but when I log in it uses my new email. Also, how can I stop my home email from transferring to my ipad.

If you are the original owner and have proof of purchase, you can call Apple or go to an Apple Retail Store and ask them to remove the iCloud account from the device.

I'd say your best bet is to try to regain access to your old account. Call 1-800-MY-APPLE, and ask to talk to the account security team. Hopefully they can verify you are the account owner, and then reset the password for you.

Is there a system status web page for iCloud and email?

It's days like this that I scratch my head wondering how to find Apple technical assistance. Does it exist?
At least we have a forum to see that everyone else is having problems too.

My mail has been down all day. This is inexcusable. My wife's mail works fine. I have dozens of business contacts who've been emailing me today and the only status Apple is telling us is that they're working on it. I need my friggin' mail! Not funny anymore. I've had a .mac address for 8 years and am on the verge of cancelling it. Thanks, Apple. No really, thanks.
I should add that this is happening on ALL devices. MBP, iPhone, iPad, and even the iCloud site. *****.
And I can't even say it s u c k s without seeing stars.

ICloud and email addresses

Hello,
I recently changed my email address. Icloud on my Iphone accepts and shows it. My MacBook Pro will not connect and keeps asking for the old email password that no longer exsits and will not connect with the other devices. My new email shows up in all other spots, but noy in ICloud on the Mac. Help.

I have an iPad where i set up an apple email @me.com and now i purchased an iPhone but cannot seem to set up the same email address on the iPhone - any ideas?

I may be wrong, since it's been so long since I did this, but I believe if you sign into iCloud on your iPhone with the same account you signed into on your iPad, it should set up an @me.com email.

Not if 'your own mail' is a different account from the one you were using together - as the ID and password will be different no-one else can access it.
I assume you aren't still using the same iCloud account you were before; if you are you will still be sharing all its facilities and you need to get a new one.

I just bought a macbook pro and have an iPhone. I want to get away from gmail and comcast mail and just use my apple products now that I have them. Can I do that with the new iOS and iCloud? If so how? Long time PC user who made the switch and now wants to streamline by only having one email, calendar and address book.

Once you have created an iCloud account and chosen an @icloud.com address to go with it you can't change the address (short of creating an entirely new account).
However, all is not lost. You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

If your login is a non-Apple email address you can change it to another non-Apple email address at http://aplpleid.apple.com, but if the login is also the @icloud.com address you can't change it.

You will have to provide the correct ID and password in order to activate your phone. If you do not know the ID, you can try to find it as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5625. If you do not know your password you will have to reset it as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2617.

Need to retun my old icloud and email address

by mistake when i was doing some change i did change wrong to me putted email address wrong and apple was try to send to that wrong email for to Active the new address, i need to retun Everything like Before to try to change my id address, how i can retun it and also not working without to be inside the wrong address and do Active.

Workflow, Form Manager and email question...

Hi All,
We have a client with 36,000 world-wide users of Form Manager. They need all 36,000 users to default to getting an email when a work item hits their worklist. The default is normally that this option be "un-checked"
until each an every user goes to the Form Manager site, chooses
"Preferences" and then "Workflow" and then places a check-mark beside
"Send me an email when assigned a task".
They can't depend on getting all 36,000 employees to go to Form Manager
and do this, so a work item will surely get assigned to someone who
hasn't done this, and will never know they got a work item in their
worklist.
Does anyone know how we can change the default for everyone so that this
option is automatically "checked" for each of the 36,000 users?

Firstly you should go into the AdminUI component and make sure the email settings are correctly set there - the settings in the admin for email notifications will be applied to a new user. A new user is either a user who logs in for the first time or who is assigned work in a user qpac.
Secondly for users who have already logged in you could write a simple db update statement to change all of the user's preferences. STMT would look like this:
UPDATE tb_workflow_user SET email_task_assigned = 1
There are other columns for the user preferences in that table as well. Also note that these fields may be of type boolean on databases which support it, others use a bit or short type.

Mac book, iphone, and email question...

Hi all, I am about to buy my first mac book and hopefully in the near future (after current service contract up... although I'm not 100% sold on AT&T) buy an iphone. I am also beginning to search for a new email provider since embarq will no longer be using earthlink. Knowing I'm moving to mac book and will likely soon have an iphone, I'm seeking suggestions for a new email service that will work best with those. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Easy recovery and Email questions

1. After clean all data you can recovery your backup only use Data , no WiFi. Why? Some operator can't turn on data automatically, u have to go to settings and activate it. If you do this you can't back to choose backup , just have a one way , set phone again.
2. Email have problems because have not free space. But free space 3gb by phone and 4 GB at card.??

It is unwise to put personal email details in a public forum. It can lead to all kinds of spam and other misuse. I have mentioned it to the hosts who may decide to edit it out for your security.

I am trying to add another email address to my icloud account. When I am on My apple id, I click to add alternate email address. The message I get is that the email is already verified for another apple id. I have read how to add an email that is verified for another id, but the first thing it says is to delete the address under the alternate email addresses, but it is not listed. Any ideas? Thanks.

If Find My iPad is turned on, you won't be able to sign out of the old ID without providing the password. If you don't have the password, you can change it as explained here: iCloud: Change your iCloud password. Two Questions....New Iphone and Email Question

Hi yall! I was wondering if anyone knew if Apple was gonna come out with a new iphone..something newer than the Iphone 4. The reason i ask is because im eligable for an upgrade now but when i bought my 3gs last year a month later they came out with the Iphone 4 but i couldn't upgrade to it. So this time i thought id check before i got the iphone 4 incase they were coming out with something new!
2. is there a way to like color coordinate your calendar. everything is just a black dot and was wondering if there was a way to make things more personalized.

I don't know for certain, but I venture to say Apple will come out with a new iPhone at some point.

The original iPhone was release in the summer of 2007.
The iPhone 3G was released in the summer of 2008.
The iPhone 3GS was released in the summer of 2009.
The iPhone 4 was released in the summer of 2010.
Based on this, it would be a fairly safe assumption that the next generation iPhone will be released this summer, but there is no way to know for certain until Apple makes an announcement.

Which supported calendar app on your computer are you syncing calendars and calendar events with?
With iCal on my Mac, I have two calendars - one personal and one business along with a US Holidays subscribed calendar. I have each calendar colored differently. The dot for a calendar event with each calendar matches the color for the calendar.
