Yes, you could, because in this case you would have something like a backup in the cloud. BTW, personally I also like Flickr. Flickr offers you 1 TB (1000 GB) of free storage and automatic upload for photos since iOS 7 (it is a very attractive offer, at least for me)

all relevant setting are set correctly to work
Flash video and audio works 100% on ALL other browser, but not IE11
i did, however install a CODEC pack that changes the way video and audio is handled system-wide (K-Lite Codec Pack - OFFICIAL website: http://codecguide.com/ and more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-Lite_Codec_Pack ) which is where I think MY problem stems from. ducci13 , have you ever installed ANY codecs, codec packs, xvid video players/codecs, ANY other type of Media/Video/Audio player (such as VLC, Winamp, MPC (Media Player Classic), XVID Player, DIVX Player/Codec, etc)

I have 18000 photos and i have to signed up to 200gb of iCloud storage how do i up load to iCloud and see them across my iPhone iPad and apple tv?
I have dragged my entire library over to the iCloud icon on the left side menu bar on my iMac iPhotos.
i have also signed into iCloud.com but can only see recent few photos taken today on my iPhone and when i have gone to import i can not import for my iPhotos app?
How do i get these to the cloud to view across my devices?
What settings do i need to use on my iPhone and iPad?
Or is iCloud not the best way to store and view my library?

Wait for a few month. iCloud Photo Library (Beta) and the Photos.app for Mac are being beta tested now and will be available soon on your Mac. Then you can store your photo library in iCloud and keep optimised versions of your photos on your Mac locally, with the full sized versions in iCloud. And all your devices will be able to access the photos in iCloud.

The iPads and iPhones can already do it, but the Mac can only access this library using the web interface, see: iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ
Use the time, till Photos will be released, to consolidate your photo library. Get all places and faces tagged, all keywords, titles, and ratings ready, duplicates removed, events and albums well structured, and when Photos will be released, you can simply let it migrate the iPhoto or Aperture library to iCloud Photo Library. Importing family MobileMe calendars and accounts into iCloud and living to tell the tale...

I have been staring at this for a long time and I hope this doesn't turn out to be as much of a brain twister as the early builds of MobileMe did. However, since I guess there must be plenty of us in the same boat, I figure this might be a good place to put together what we know and share our triumphs and disasters.
I have just installed 10.7.2 and the only mistake I have made to far was to hit the iCloud button and set iCloud up before I had read every single one of the FAQs, but then again, I haven't found any which address this problem. But I am sure that other people are already experiencing it.
We have a family MobileMe account, the main login being (we'll say) [email protected], which is the one I use; my wife uses [email protected] and our daughter uses [email protected]. The [email protected] is used purely for mail, contacts and calendars and nothing else worth mentioning.
Now comes the tricky bit.
We have a separate AppleId, based on a non-Apple email, which we will call [email protected].
When I upgraded to 10.7.2 and set up iCloud for my iMac, I (unthinkingly) set up [email protected] as the iCloud account and then (after I had realised this maybe wasn't such a smart move) set up my iCloud Mail, Contacts and Calendars to sync to we'll say [email protected], although I didn't transfer my MobileMe Mail, Calendar and Contacts across. Because I have an existing MobileMe account, this data is still associated with MobileMe.
The 64 dollar question is this: can I set up the two other iMacs in this house to use the [email protected] AppleId, set their iCloud emails to perhaps [email protected] and [email protected], then transfer all the MobileMe accounts across to the [email protected] addresses and keep all the data separate? Or is it the case that you can only run one set of mail, contacts and calendars from a single AppleId?
Or…
Are we going to have to create three separate AppleIds to run mail, contacts and calendars in iCloud and use [email protected] for the Apple Store.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated! My head hurts just from thinking about it all.

I cannot receive or send mail via iCloud in my Mac Mail app. I can do both by going into iCloud and accessing Mail and Calendars there.
Make sure Mail and Notes is selectded in System Preferences > iCloud

ICloud and Windows 8.1

I am using a desktop PC; was Windows 8 64 bit; upgraded this morning to Windows 8.1.
I am using Microsoft Office 2010; my contacts, tasks and calendars are in iCloud.
Now when I am in Outlook, it will not open contacts, calendar or tasks .. It tells me: The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened.
I tried re-installing iCloud and I get: There si a problem with this windows installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run.

Hi I have had the same problem BUT even thought I have repeatedly removed and reinstalled iCloud it is still not working using Office 365 I have it set up so iCloud (updates all my calendar and other facilities in Office) and up until I had the problem with the 8.1 update it worked fine BUT since I have now (with the help of Microsoft with a fix for removing and then reinstalling Office 365) while all the MIcrosoft programs like Word and Outlook are working OK I have not been able to get my other calendars and contact via Apple iCloud (it says "the set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened") and the iCloud icon that use to be on the top of the Outlook screen is not there - add to Evernote 4 is but not iCloud. I have removed iCLoud program and reinstalled it including closing down Outlook etc and rebooted the computer a number of times but no luck - any ideas please as it is very important I get my calendar and contact (People) back. Gosh, this is full of great information and I need something a little bit deeper - and because I'm not a techy - can I explain...Apple ID changed a year ago from a work email to a personal email. No longer have access to original email..... New email and Apple ID worked flawlessly until today - every 3 seconds Sign in to iCloud pops up.. with the old work email. I enter the password - which is the same... and it says invalid.
I tried to delete the icloud, but you need the password and it says "find my phone" is on... i turn it off, and it's the old email... and the password again doesn't work, of course.
I am left stratching my head... I sync my phone and my correct, up to date email is in the Apple ID sections...
What am I doing wrong.. talk slow to me please, lol.

Basically husband upgraded from 4s to 5c. Gave dad 4s. I tried to set his dad up with icloud and apple id but didn't realise husbands old sim card was in 4s. Now neither phone works and husband very annoyed his apple id and password don't work anymore. Please help!!!

So husband got new phone. Was all set up and up and running when we left the shop
Gave dad the old phone. It was locked to Vodafone so we had to ask them to unlock. He then got his three sim cut down to fit.
Weeks after husband had his 5c we went to dads to set his 4s up. I upgraded it to latest software iOS something. Anyway didn't realise it was husbands old sim still in phone.
After upgrade it asked me to set up apple account (I think) could have been icloud. Anyway I started setting it up with dads email and password choice. Husband then saw message on his 5c saying his dads email was being added to something on his phone.
At this point I left alone but now when husband tries to use his apple id for apps etc it says invalid user id or password. It's as though the 2 have got mixed up. Bit it won't let him reset his password?
Does this make sense?

Problems with iCloud and iCal

I started using iCloud about a month ago...so far it has been quite the headache. I like the concept I put an appointment on one of my devices and it shows up on the rest (iphone, ipad, iMac). Just recently, when I open iCal on my iMac, all my appointments are gone! I have to then go to System Preferences and recheck the calendar to go to iCloud. And after a bit, then all my appointments reappear. This is getting old. It's defeating the purpose of using iCloud. My question is does anyone know of a glitch that is causing this? I'm about ready to dump iCloud and go back to synching with iTunes. Thank you!

My problem arises when I go to sign in on ICloud on the PC. It will not let me set up. I receive the message, "You can't sign in because of a server error.". Please help. I spent all day yesterday trying to make this work for the syncing of photos, at least. Thank you for any help.

This may be a result of security software interfering with the iCloud Control Panel's ability to communicate with our servers. The following article provides information that can help correct this.

If i erase my iphone will my contacts etc still be backed up to icloud and my computer?

Im sending my phone off to my insurance company for a replacement one, they have told me to wipe everything from it before sending off.
I have backed my phone up to icloud and itunes for my computer however I just want to check if i erased my phone (master reset??) will all my contacts still be visable on iclouds website and will everything still be backed up ready to then be put on to my new phone? (Im just a bit worried about leaving all my information on the phone im sending off!)

Answers to Problems With Icloud and Office 2007 Outlook?

My computer has a Windows 7, 64 bit operating system and Microsoft 2007 Office, which includes Outlook 2007 where I do most of my mail and keep my daily calendar and all my contacts. I wanted to sync my iphone 5 calendar with Microsoft's Office 2007 Outlook Calendar. I followed the instructions but it has never worked and Icloud put my original Outlook Calendar and Contacts in the deleted folder for Outlook and substituted folders called Contacts1 and Calendar1. Unfortunately, the sync with my iphone does not work properly. It did the very first time after installing icloud and itunes but thereafter all it does is upload stuff to icloud and additions made in my Office 2007 Outlook calendar since the first sync do not get transferred to my iphone calendar. After numerous attempts to make this work I decided to just forget about trying to sync with icloud so I deleted it from my system along with itunes and now i am left with the icloud calendar1 and contacts1 in Outlook 2007. I am unable to transfer my icloud calendar entries back to the original Outlook 2007 calendar the same for contacts. Can anyone tell me how to do this so I can delete the icloud folders contacts1 and calendar1 from Outlook 2007? Thanks.

Try to export them as .pst files from within Outlook (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/export-contacts-HA102919759.aspx). Then disable iCloud syncing and import the .pst backups back to Outlook.

I have recently had a very disturbing experince with iCloud. I started using it to have my contacts online and sync with my phone and computer.
long story short had my contacts deleted. ok now what. as there si no back up on the icloud, apple said that there was nothing they could do.
I was happy that I found a older back up of my contacts and emidiatly stopped using icloud. To risky not having a back up at all.
So my question is there a way I can have a back up on my computer and still using icloud so I don not have to hard wire my phone to get them transfered ?

I am a bit confused. iCloud is my default calendar and contacts for all my devices because like JustJesper I got duplicates if not. I back up to time machine. So if iCloud loses all my contacts and calendars, will TM have stored events and contacts - gvien that iCloud is the default calendar. I guess where I get confused is the line about these events also being on my Macbook which I back up. Are they essentally duplicated on the MacBook as well as the cloud in which case TM does capture them?
In the event of iCloud losing my data, and I can back up from TM, then would TM restore to the Mac in a location that would sync to the cloud and hence restore across my devices?

How I share my Outlook (contact, and calendar) with iCloud and Blackberry?

I have Window 7 with Outlook 2007. I am trying to sync my contact, and calendar between my blackberry and iCloud such as iPod touch or iPad. I am having a hard time to track down by google and found tons of answer where is not the best one. I am using BIS where normally my blackberry sync with Blackberry Desktop Manager with my Outlook. I do not have exchange server or exchange thing at all. When I got iPod touch or iPad, all my regular contacts and appointments had moved to iCloud and ingore my regular one with Blackberry. I need to make it work between blackberry and iPod touch or iPad along with my outlook where I can control everything in Outlook.
I had one idea which I tried to change the map folder under Blackberry Desktop Manager for sync where I see all my folders in "Microsoft Outlook Folders" I see one of them said iCloud and trying to add it and got an error message which said, "Error encountered. Error code- 0x80043bea. Check documentation"

Can you tell us a little bit more about your configuration? Are you using Exchange? Are you currently run Outlook for Mac (Office 2011) on your MacBook Pro? Or are you looking to migrate data from a PC to Outlook for Mac on your MacBook Pro?

I'm sorry, I'm a bit unclear on what you mean by "uploaded onto iCloud". If you are referring to videos synced to iCloud using the new iCloud Photo Library feature, you may find the following article helpful:
