My phone says the last iCloud backup was yesterday, but my computeer says the last iCloud backup was September. Trying to restore from yesterday's backup

Delete the music by syncing with iTunes with the music unelected then re-select the music and sync with iTunes to place the music back on your iPad.

I know you can access up to 3 icloud back ups for a device, but is there anyway on to get the 4th one back?

Hello helpful peoples. I am in need of a back up from my Icloud that is nolonger available through the normal routine. Is there anyway to access older icloud back ups from the 3 that are given to you as an option when you delete and restore? Anyway through Apple? Or Icloud? Can you pay for such a service?

What you see in the backup list is what you have to choose from. Many users see only one backup, not 3. Others see 3.
You can't get any older backups as they are deleted from the servers. You can't pay anyone to get back old backups - they're gone, I'm sorry to say.

Can the iPhone 6 save 2 iCloud back-ups?

I changed my phone recently. The 2 phones are using different accounts for iCloud. Can the iPhone 6 keep the 2 back-ups at the same time without erasing the content of any of them? If so, how to?

if you phone arrived damaged you should have notified the seller immediately by phone.
if the phone did not arrive damaged, the you damaged it. Dropping the phone is not the only way.
after 14 days, the buyers remorse periods over and you are stuck with a phone you can send to repair service, but will have to pay the deductible.

Old iCloud Back-Ups

My iCloud is running out of storage and I would like to delete some of the old back-ups from previous phones, but I want to retrieve the photos from those back-ups first. Is this possible and if so, how do I do it?

First create a current backup of your phone by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and tapping Back Up Now at the bottom. I recommend you also back it up to your computer just in case. To do this, connect the phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, then go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now. Finally, go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. You might also want to save your photo stream photos to your camera roll, then import the camera toll to your computer for safekeeping as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then to restore your iCloud backup you go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud backup and follow the prompts. Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger while it is restoring the backup as this will take a while to finish.

Family Share iCloud Data for iCloud Back ups

Is there a way that I can share my 200GB of iCloud space with my sisters to have them back up to my shared iCloud? They go over the 5 free GB and I have 180GB free to use. I feel that it is stupid for them to each pay more a month when I have plenty to go around.

no, unfortunately, iCloud storage cannot be shared between different iCloud accounts.

TS4576 Re: Confusion over automatic iCloud back ups.

I am getting totally confused, as to the procedure for automatic iCloud backups. The Apple Support suggests that as long as you are connected to Wi Fi and are plugged in and locked, iCloud will 'automatically' back up. My last back up, shows as 28 July 2014 and it is now 8 August. During that time, I would have definitely been plugged in and been on Wi Fi, so why has it not backed up? My usual means of backing up, is by going into Settings, iCloud, and clicking on Back Up Now. Why is my device, not backing up, 'automatically' where am I going wrong? Any guidance will be much appreciated.

If you are locking the screen before plugging it into your charger, try plugging it into your charger before locking the screen. (When you lock the screen on battery power, wifi drops to conserver battery power. I'm not sure that it will reconnect to wifi when you plug it in with the screen locked if it has already disconnected from your wifi.)

Yes you could delete backups without loosing anything on your device, but iCloud storage has nothing to do with your local device capacity. I guess that your device is just full and that you have to delete something like apps, movies etc to free up some space for other content.

Recently got a new iPod 4th gen; I had previously backed up to iCloud and subscribed to iTunes Match, and then wound up syncing the new iPod to my MacBook Pro; all iCloud tunes were downloaded to Mac but won't all sync to the iPod - any suggestions?

Recently got a new iPod Touch 4th gen; I had previously backed up to iCloud and subscribed to iTunes Match, and then wound up syncing the new iPod to my MacBook Pro; all iCloud tunes were downloaded to Mac but won't all sync to the iPod after multiple attempts, despite all songs showing properly on the Mac and multiple syncs occurring after all songs were properly reflected on the Mac. I updated iTunes Match from the iTunes Store menu as well pre-sync.
I should mention that I had previously had the library on a Dell (which is still running) and shared it on my home network. While all iTunes purchases now show in the Dell, the Mac is the device I use for all syncs.
There appears to be no rhyme or reason to the iCloud physical sync failure - some songs were legacy, some were purchased via the PC, some on the old iPod.
The Mac shows all the songs correctly and none show iCloud status -all have been downloaded, but the downloaded songs that were previously showing up as iCloud based aren't syncing to the iPod.
Is there any way to force all music being seen by my iPod as iCloud to download to so I can listen to them offline? Is there a way to force the sync from iTunes?

The "system" performed as designed. All devices syncing to one iCloud account are kept in common sync. The idea is that all such devices belong to one user. Different users should have different iCloud accounts. Once your contacts were edited, all devices were updated as well and subsequent backups (from yours and her device) reflected the changed contacts (and any other data that may have been edited like calendars). Your first task is to change your daughter over to a new account before she makes other changes.
The only way I see for getting back contacts is to restore them from a time machine backup, assuming you also have a Mac included in the account which syncs the contacts. However, I'm not sure whether time machine includes contacts from iCloud along with those that are local, "on my Mac".
Otherwise the deleted contacts are gone.

I would like to back up and restore 4 different iPhones, 1 iPad, a MacBook and 1 MacBook Pro using the same single iCloud account.

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address). While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud. You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

If you no longer need the backups, you can delete them by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of device you want to delete the backup for (under Backups at the top), then tap Delete Backup. This will permanently delete it from your account, freeing up the storage it occupies.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You cannot download a backup from iCloud, the only way to access it is to restore to the backup with your new phone, which you should have done when you first connected it. If you restore now, you will lose all the new information you have added to your new phone.

Daughter deleted my contacts on her icloud- not seeing my back ups!!

OK HERE IS MY SCENARIO
1) daughter deleted contacts on her i-touch which wiped out all my contact info i guess we are connected via i-cloud
2) went to iTunes sync and tried to restore from back up except in the drop down window my phone wasn't listed only her I touch. So i tried to sync from her last back up and it wouldn't let me because its not an i-phone
3) in iTunes while synced went to Edit>preferences>devices preferences and my iPhone is not up there for back up..only her i-touch
4) yes i have- cloud back up on
5) one discussion said to RESET from general setting and the restore from ICloud back - I did that twice and each time picked older back ups but didn't work
6) I tired to then restore her back up on her itouch -but the contacts are still gone
7) all my work contacts are on there - pls help

If you are certain the backup predates the point at which the contacts were deleted:
Ensure the device is connected to your local network.
Start the restore from iCloud back up.
Allow the devices settings to restore (watch for the confirmation of completion).
As the apps begin to restore pull the connection to your router WAN port (the one that goes to the telephone point).
Wait for the time out confirmation.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn off contact syncing (keep contacts when prompted).
Reconnect the router to the internet and let the restore process complete.
Delete the iCloud contacts from iCloud.com on a computer.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn on contact syncing (merge contacts when prompted).
