ICloud backup is locking up my wife's iPad3. She cannot even unlock it or close it down. How do I cancel it?
My wife has an iPad3. We are travelling at the moment and whenever she tries to switch on she gets an iCloud notice saying that she has not backed up for weeks, which then locks the screen, so she cannot even close down. How do we stop this please - any ideas anyone?

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

When I click the "OK", it changes colors like it's working, but nothing happens. So my iPad is locked up. It's plugged in, locked and connected to Wi-Fi like the box said. I can't unlock or turn off. The sliders won't move because of the box in the middle.
Have you tried resetting your iPad?

You're welcome. You can import your camera roll photos (and videos) to your computer using your USB cable, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. If you need to save photo stream photos too, save them to the camera roll so they can also be imported. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos you want to save, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.
The backup you make to your computer using iTunes will also include your camera roll photos and videos. -

I purchased addional storage for iCloud after being advised that I was running out of storage. Later I discovered a iPhone which I do not own was added to my account . How I don't know. I have the same problem. For about 1 month ago I extended my iCloud storage account (+20 GB) in order to maintain my backups for iPHONE and iPAD as my account would expire 14/10. In spite of this, I got an email 15/10, which said that iCloud was reduced to 5 GB. 2 hours later I received a new email with comfirmation on the purchase of +20 GB storage plan. However, I only have access to 5 GB on my iPad and iPhone. Called Apple Support but they couldn´t help me. Did you find any solution ?

How do you send a text message to an Android user via Messages? My wife and I both have iPads running 8.1 iOS. When she types in the addressee name it appears in red (not in mine). Then she is not allowed to send.
There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.

Press and hold the power and home buttons until the device shuts down. After a short while the apple will appear and the device will boot up. Things should work then.

Please help ! Where is my current icloud backup ?? It shows backed up on my old iphone but not on my new one. I updated my new iphone and it updated with an icloud backup from 12/3/2013 which restored a bunch of things that are no longer valid. How can i get the correct backup restored to my new iphone ??
