ICloud backup not finishing?
iphone 6.
Restoring icloud backup and although everything has been restored it says still restoring?
Any idea why?!
what can I do to fix?
I had the same exact problem. I found the solution!! Apparently if you have "Find My iPhone" on in the settings, the restoring from iCloud back-up stays on the lock screen. Mine was on the lock screen for 12 hours before figuring out a solution. I turned "Find My iPhone" off and this solved the problem!! I was then able to do a back-up to iCloud!
Hope this helps.

I ran the backup last night...it still shows that the latest backup was in December 2012. I have enough storage left. Any ideas?
If you get the error "Backup not successful" and you've tried deleting the last backup and trying to back up manually without luck, try the following test: Go to...
Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, tap your device name in the Backups section, then look under Backup options. Turn off all apps from backup and then do a manual backup. If that doesn't work, then this post will not help. If the backup works, then go back to the app list and turn some on and try another backup. If successful, keep repeating these steps. If it fails at some point, then try to zero in on the one app that seems to make the backup fail. (I had this problem and found one app failing, probably due to a corrupt data file.)
This process will take time, but if a backup works with no app data being used but clearly fails with the original settings, then somewhere in the mix of apps is a "bad" one. -
IPhone iCloud Backup not working anymore
Since April 9, 2012 my iPhone does not backup to iCloud anymore (not automatically nor manually). When I click "Backup Now", it just says "Backing Up... Estimating time remaining..." and it stays like that forever. The progress bar does not move at all. I have plenty of space left for backup, so that should not be the problem. Anybody having the same problem? Any solutions/suggestions you may have are welcome. Thanks!
After connecting to iTunes, I noticed that "Back up to iCloud" was selected (in the middle of the screen on the "Summary" tab, under "Backup"), and "Last backed up to iCloud" reflected the time that I attempted to back up from my phone. Even now, the phone still says "Last Backup: Never," so there is clearly a disconnect. Hopefully Apple will fix this soon.

Recently I removed my SIM from my 4S and after some time I realized that the Viber messages along with some other content was gone. Someone told me that this was a security mechanism. I tried to restore the missing content by completely resetting my iPhone and restoring from an earlier iCloud backup. Now, here comes the weird part, the backups listed were indeed from my device but the Apple ID that the phone asked me to confirm in order to proceed with the media restore wasn’t mine. How can this be? Does this mean that iCloud was compromised and someone got access to my account? What’s the implications of this? Are iCloud backups encrypted, or do I have to change every single password and authenticator access that was on my phone? Anyone encountered the same issue?
Cancel this question. I went into my pictures and there they were. Uhhhh DUH!!!
Gotta love iCloud!!! Thanks guys for putting up with my silly question! At least I gave some of you a good laugh. Have a great day and thanks for letting me play awhile in here!!! -
iphone 4 with iOS7. Despite being plugged in and on WiFi and "locked" it's up to seven weeks now that I keep getting message that it hasn't been backed up. Is there some special "lock" that I don't get? Didn't the old lock switch on upper left change at some time. Do I have to use this?
ThanksMaybe you don't have your settings set up correctly. For more information on the topic, I've provided a link that might help you out.
Sincerely,
Austin

ICloud backup not working - option greyed out
My iPad air happily used to backup overnight via wifi when I would leave it charging.
However this stopped happening a couple of months ago, without any intervention from me...
Now the 'icloud backup' option in Settings/iCloud/Backup is set to off, but is greyed out i.e. I can't turn it back on again
I seemingly have plenty of space as have upgraded to 20Gb of storage, partially in the hope it would sort this problem out.
Anyone got any ideas?
ThanksOK.
So i guess there was no other way to solve this problem.
Anyway I have restored the device yesterday, its succeed -
HT4859 icloud backup not working
I just got a 4S and have backed up my iPhone 4 today prior to swapping the Sim.
When I go to restore via icloud on the 4S it initially only brought up a back up from January and now says it cannot find any backup's?
Any ideas? This may be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your phone that is preventing the backup. To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup. -
Icloud backups not happening since updating to OS 6
Neither my iphone4 s or my ipad2 have backed up to icloud (when plugged and on wifi) since Oct 4. I think it's because of OS 6, because my ipod, which is still os5 backs up.
Anyone else dealing with this?I don't know if this has been solved yet, but I have an update to my original reply.
I too am having the same issue. I took my phone to work and hooked it up to the wi-fi and hit backup just to see if it would work. and guess what... it worked! So its apparently not a problem with iOS 6...
Still won't work at home, though it works for my sister and dad..
Has anyone figured anything out? -
TS4036 iCloud backup not showing up for my iPhone
Before replacing my iPhone, I backed it up to iCloud. Upon setting up my new iPhone, the backup I created is no longer visible. It shows my wife's iPhone, my kid's iPods and our iPad, but not my iPhone. Where is it?
I should be more clear about what took place. My wife and I wanted to switch phones (simply for aesthetic purposes -- one black phone and one white). I made backups of both phones to iCloud. I looked at the backups that were on iCloud to insure that her back and mine were both there. They were. I restored the phone for her first (using the phone that was previously mine), selecting her iPhone's backup during the restore process.
I then went to restore the phone for me (which had been her phone), but now my backup no longer showed up. It only shows me her phones latest backups -- as well as the iPods and iPad.
Is it because I'm using her former phone that it only shows me her backups? Why would it show the iPad and iPods then?
The last backup I have on a computer (iTunes) is from January, so that's pretty much useless.
As of right now, I feel all I can do is set it up as a new phone . . . but that's pretty discouraging. I would appreciate any advice. -
ICloud backup not working plus unable to delete old backup
I recently upgraded from an iphone 5 to the iphone 6. Before making the move I want to backup my iphone 5. It hasn't been backed up to the iCloud for several months (due to a lack of storage space) so I purchased more space. However, when trying to back it up, I'm met with the message "Backing up... Estimating time remaining" for a while and then this message disappears and it says that the backup was not completed. Might be worth noting that I haven't updated my iphone 5's system to iOs 8, could this be the issue?
I have tried to delete my previous backups to see if this helps but the message "cannot delete, backup in use" message appears. Extremely frustrating! It's been 2 days since I got my iphone 6 and I have not started using it. Any tips?Nevermind, looks like I was able to delete it off of my phone instead

ITunes/iCloud backup not up to date
The last 2 years i used an iPhone 4, but that thing is pretty much worn out. So today someone gave me a "new" iPhone 4, great, finally a working home button again.
So this morning I did a manual backup to iTunes from the old phone, and there was already a daily backup to the iCloud.
When i restored the backup to the new phone, for some reason it only restores to some point last year (think its April). All the photos taken afterwards, not there. All the apps installed afterwards, not there. All the iMessages written afterwards, not there.
Is this a known problem to some? Or a quick solve for it?
At the moment I am trying to get all my pictures to my phone through iTunes, but this sync has been going on for 2 hours already for only 250 pictures, so I don't think this is working really well. There is a difference between your phone SOFTWARE being up to date and your phone being SYNCED. Plug it into your computer and sync it. This should put everything on your phone.

HT1766 Why is my iCloud backup not showing up when i try to ste up my replacement iPhone?
I just got my iPhone replaced and the man put all my data in iCloud. When I got to a Sprint store, the phone said there was no back up data. I've tried a million times and still can't do it. Please help.
Are you running iOS 5.1.1? If not, you may need to update the phone before you can access your backup. (You can't restore the phone to a backup made on a phone running a newer version of the iOS than the phone you are restoring from.)

Icloud backup not happening?
I have not been able to backup to icloud for a month and I am not sure why?
I have had it pluged in and on wifi many times. When I ask it to do it manually it just fails after many minutes and I go back to the phone to find it hasn't happened no error messages.
Just not sure what to do? I have backup to my computer through itunes to be safe.
Regards,
Jonathanyea i have enough space. 4GB storage left and the back up is 4MB
Wifi is good and it is locked when I try to do a manual backup. It just says estimating the time to back up when I lock it. When i then look to check in a hour it says backup never. -
ICloud Backup not Restoring!
I got a new iPhone 6 and am trying to restore it with a backup of my iPhone 5S (iOS8) but every time I try it, it gets about a quarter of the way and fails with an error regarding losing internet connection. I have tried 3 different networks, including a fast one but this just caused the error to come up sooner, it gets to the same position on the status bar every time. I have even tried putting the phones mac address on the highest priority on my modems QoS list, kept tapping the screen to keep it awake and kept it connected to power. I really need to be able to restore this phone, has anyone else had this issue? How do you resolve such an issue?
Thanks, Ajayjust because it's from the store and you got it today, doesn't mean it's up-to-date. It takes a while for iPhone to ship from China to the store where you purchased it and there has been an update about two weeks ago.
I'd recommend connecting the iPhone to iTunes on a computer and see if it prompts you to update

Recently, I bought an iPod Touch 4G. However, its charger (usb cable) wasn`t included with it. Therefore, my brother had from a long time ago a charger which he got when buying his iPod Touch 2G. By the way, he now uses it with his iPhone 3GS and he
