ICloud Backup Screen
I'm a little confused as to what what the iCloud Backup screen means.
Could somebody define what the difference between Backup Size and Next Backup Size is? There seems to be quiet a large gap between those to. Right now back ups only take 3 or 4 minutes so I assume that the bulk of the backup (the pictures) have already been uploaded. However, if the pictures have been uploaded shouldn't there be more than 7 GBs used?
Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

HT1766 icloud backup screen is frozen on ipad and I can't slide to open. What do I do?
icloud backup screen is frozen on ipad, and I can't slide to open. All locked up!
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

The iCloud back up screen it on my ipad. It won't let me do anything, turn it down or use any of the screen. I have even tried to force shut it down but it won't let me use the screen at all. I plugged it into my main computer to do a backup and it's still stuck.
HelpIt's rude not to share your solution and then mark your answer as correct so that it may help others. So in case anybody else reads this ....

That will get you out of that backup screen. There is a reason that screens shows up. You haven't backed up your iPad! Make sure you backup regularly! -
Does exiting out of the iCloud backup screen cause your iphone to stop backing up?
I have always wondered when I am backing up my iPhone to iCloud if the backup stops when i leave the settings screen or if i hit the lock button to turn off my phone. I have always left my phone on the settings screen on the iCloud backup page because i wasnt sure.
Your iPhone should backup fine. You do not have to stay on the same screen. In fact, you can browse the internet with Safari if you wish.

IPod touch stuck on iCloud Backup screen
Every so often a pop up tells me that I haven't back up my iPod in __ weeks. I don't get to connect it to a computer that often, so that's why.
It popped up today and I clicked OK so it would go away. But when I went to get on my iPod later, it was still there. It's there along with 'slide to unlock' , which I cannot do.I also can't power it down like I normally do. I read online that to fix this you'd have to hold both the top button and the home button at the same time to turn if off. My home button does not work and I've been using assistive touch. I've tried fixing my home button, but nothing has worked.
So my question is how do I fix this? I can't restart it. Should I just wait until it's out of juice and powers down by itself? You can try:
- Connecting it to your computer and backup and restore via iTunes
For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Let the battery drain as you said. -

I have an iPad Mini which after charging has now frozen with the iCloud Backup text box in the middle of the screen and OK 'button' registers when tapped but remain locked with nothing operating. It is fully charged.
Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

HT4759 My icloud Backup text keeps showing and blocking my screen. I can't use my Ipad now
My icloud Backup text keeps showing and blocking my screen. I can't use my Ipad. I touch on either "Ignore" or "Setting" but it doesn't go away.
Reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release. (If you see an off slider first, ignore it.)
