ICloud Beta not downloading all purchases?

Just started playing with the iCloud beta. I hit "download all purchases" and let the computer go to town for an hour and pull everything down. When I got back, all my tunes had been marked as "Downloaded," but when I looked at my iTunes music library it was full of holes...just a song here and there that didn't download. When I go back into the cloud portion of the store, they are indicated as downloaded, although they are nowhere to be found within the iTunes library, and they can't be redownloaded because iTunes believe they are there.
Any workaround advice?
-- Andy

Yep, I had a similair experience with support, zero response, but I did find a good workaround:
1) Look for the iCloud downloaded icons with the exclamation point icon next to them.
2) Verify the alert is because it couldn't find the file.
3) Right-click and Remove the entry.
4) Go back into the Purchases portion of the iTunes store, back to the iCloud downloads.
5) When you hit the other tab for the songs not in your library, they will be noted as "not downloaded."
6) Download all.
7) Wash, rinse, and repeat until your swiss cheese of iCloud songs are complete.

  • ITunes not downloading All Purchases, though it thinks otherwise

    Hello All!
I recently rebuilt my system, and am trying to rebuild my media library through the iTunes Store. I have authorized my rebuilt computer, and have used the Purchased portion of iTunes to run a "Download All" to my system.
While iTunes insists that it has downloaded all of the Music that I have purchased, there are multiple items that did not download, and show with the ubiquitous grey "!" next to the song. Using the Get Info function, iTunes shows that the link to the file is pointing to the old path, before I rebuilt the machine. When I go to
C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\, it does show that several of the songs HAVE downloaded, but many have not (obviously, the ones with the Grey !). So, it is hit and miss: Some of the music has downloaded to the system, while some has not. Checking the Purchases against my iPhone, it does show all of my music purchases, but some of them are just not downloading.
I cannot restart the downloads, because iTunes thinks that the files have already downloaded. Because the songs have not downloaded, I cannot manually tie the Library entry to the non-existant file. All of the purchased songs are still appearing on my iPhone.
Any suggestions or experience with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I will give this a shot. I am always reluctant to nuke Library entries, since they are sort of "bookmarks" to what I should and should not have. One thing that is odd is that ALL of the songs were initially Grey !s, since I had reloaded the system from scratch. It is odd that some of them did download while others did not.
I will give this a shot this evening, and let you know! Thanks for the quick response.
P.S: Another oddity: Technically all of the items should have been backed up when I ran Windows Backup before rebuilding. Not sure why this area got nuked.

  • Download error (8003) can not download all purchased content - Please help?

I have tried everything short of deleting my apple tv and starting again (already done the soft resets).
My recently purchased products only downloaded in part... spent $300 on content much of which I can not watch = very annoying.
Laptop is nearly full, so downloading to that and syncing is not really an option... just want thew apple tv to do what is advertised.
    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP
    thanks

try this, I could not find anything specific about that error code:
    Solution
Deleting the cached video files of the download, and starting the download again from the beginning, often will resolve this issue.
To find the cached video downloads:
    1. Navigate to the downloads folder on your system. This folder can be found in the following locations:
    Mac:
    ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Downloads
Note: The tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.
    Windows Vista:
    \Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Downloads\
    Windows XP and 2000:
    \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Downloads\
    2. Locate the folder that contains the cached video file for this purchase.
In Windows Vista, the folder will be named for the purchased video, and the name will end with .tmp.
    Example: The Dundies.tmp
In Windows XP and Windows 2000, the folder will be named for the purchased video, and the name will end with .m4v.tmp.
    Example: The Dundies.m4v.tmp
    3. Move the .tmp folder for the affected purchased video to the Trash or Recycle Bin.
    4. Open iTunes.
    5. From the Store menu, choose Check for Purchases.
    6. Enter your account name and password and click the Check button.

  • ICloud did not download all my contacts

    iPhone 4/iOS 5.1.1, iPad 2/iOS 5.1.1
I sync my contacts to Outlook 2010 and have never used iCloud for anything, but while away from home, all of the contacts on my phone suddenly disappeared.  My phone favorites remained, with phone numbers only, and the same for texts.  Since I had my iPad with me, I decided to turn on iCloud for Contacts on the iPad, then do the same with the iPhone.  It seemed to work fine, except that many of the contacts were missing from the phone.  I checked alphabetically, comparing iPad to iPhone and found everything was fine up until about "M".  From there on, it was hit or miss.  Only 1 of about 20 contacts beginning with "O" were on the phone.  Less than half of "R" made it.  I fooled around for a while, turning iCloud on and off, deleting all contacts from phone, repeating, etc. with the same results each time.  When I got home, I was able to sync to my computer, so I got everything back, but I would really like to know what gives with the flakey iCloud performance.
(My phone is about 2.5 yrs old, and I've never had anything like this happen before, so now I'm worried that there may be a hardware problem somewhere.  The only glitch observable before this happened was that the phone hung in Settings when I was trying to connect to wifi, and I had to reset to continue using the phone.  Just off and on did not work.)

Bump.  No one has a clue???

  • Itunes does not download all purchased songs from the Itunes Store

A few weeks ago, I purchased the latest CD of Lionel Richie from the Itunes Store, but only 4 songs were downloaded. Now every time I try to download the rest CD by either checking for purchases in the Itunes menu or trying to buy the CD again, it tells me the Itunes Store is temporarily unavailable...
Anyone knows how to solve this??

I had a similar problem with a Jimmy Buffett album,I sent the iTunes store an e-mail described the problem including the album title and receipt number and within 24 hours they responded and had done a "reset" and problem solved.
    Give it a try

  • HT201272 A lot of my songs, once put on the iCloud, will not download to my iPod.  They are on my iTunes, already downloaded, but will not appear in my library on my iPod.  Before I started using iCloud, all music in my iTunes library was on my iPod.

A lot of my songs, once put on the iCloud, will not download to my iPod.  They are in my iTunes library, already downloaded, but will not appear in my library on my iPod.  There is no common thread for the origin of the songs--many were ripped from CD's, others purchased in the iTunes store.  Before I started using iCloud, all music in my iTunes library was on my iPod without any issues.

    - Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    - Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
    - Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck
If they are still available and listed in your Puchase History then contact iTunes

  • IOS 8.1 Does Not Download All iCloud Mail/ Keeps Cache?

    Hello,
I have setup and enabled an iCloud e-mail account on all of my devices and was successfully able to use the Mail app in Mac OS X Yosemite to copy mail from my Yahoo! inbox to my iCloud inbox.  All e-mail copied from Yahoo! Mail appears in the OS X Yosemite Mail app as well as in the iCloud.com site, however, my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5 both running iOS 8.1 does not download all of the mail from iCloud.  I have tried the following on both iOS 8.1 devices with no success.
    - Disable iCloud mail and re-enable
    - Sign completely out of iCloud and sign in again, then reconfigure all iCloud services including mail
The result of both steps is that the incomplete list of e-mail in the iCloud inbox just reappears in the Mail app instead of downloading from iCloud again.  It looks like the incomplete list of e-mail is stored on the iOS device and signing out of or disabling iCloud mail just hides it; re-enabling or signing in merely shows it again.  This appears to work differently than my Yahoo! Mail configuration where if I sign out of or delete the Yahoo! account and reconfigure, iOS downloads a fresh copy of all e-mail in the inbox and all other folders.  Here are my two questions:
    - How do I get my iPhone and iPad Air 2 to download ALL e-mail from my iCloud mail account?
    - Are my suspicions true? Does iOS actually store a cached copy of iCloud mail on the device when the service is disabled and just "redisplays" it when re-enabled?
    Thanks!

I had the same problem. My iCloud it's a mess since the iOS 8.1 update.
Probably your iCloud isn't working too.

  • HT1657 How can I download all purchased content before changing my info account?

How can I download all purchased content before changing my info account?

You can always setup your GMail account on your Mac as a POP3 account, and then flag GMail to mark all messages new.  The next mail check would cause your mail app to download all the messages on teh GMail server to your mail client.  Once they are in your mail client, you manage them locally in there, and it won't matter if the GMail host account goes away or not, because POP3 works with the local data once it is downloaded form the server.
Be advised that doing this can cause you to redownload thousands (or hundreds of thousands) of emails depending upon your email volume and how long you have been using GMail.  If I do this, my GMail wants to re-send close to 6GB of data to me again because I have been using GMail for about as long as it has existed, and I average 100-200 emails a day on that account.

  • TS3989 PhotoStream not downloading all photos

Hi, my iPad2 (iOS 5.1), located in China, is not downloading all photos on PhotoStream. I have about 430 photos but the iPad2 can only download about 200 then it stopped. The following factors are for your consideration:
    1. The iPad2 in question is not low on battery (more than 80%), and is connected to Wifi. The problem has persisted for days now. I know there're 430 photos on the PhotoStream because on my iPad1 and iPhone 4S I can see 430 photos.
    2. The iPad2 can successfully upload to PhotoStream photos taken from its camera. In fact, photos taken from its camera would even be downloaded as new photos in PhotoStream, yet still not all photos already on PhotoStream (uploaded by other devices) could be downloaded.
    3. I have several other devices participating on PhotoStream with the same Apple ID - iPad1 (iOS 5.01), iPhone 4s (iOS 5.01) and PC (iCloudWindows version 1.1). In fact, the bulk of the photos on PhotoStream now are uploaded from the PC via the iCloud service for Windows. The iPad2 is the only one having trouble downloading all of the photos.
    4. I have reset PhotoStream on the iPad2 once already. 10 days ago the PhotoStream download was stuck for 163 photos (over 400 total) for a couple days. So I've reset the PhotoStream and re-enabled. The download started again, but has stopped for a few days now at 220 photos.
    5. Just one more background - the iPad2 as I mentioned is located in China. I bought one for my parents so we could use PhotoStream to share photos cross border easily.
    Please help!!!

Nothing... I am waiting on a solution too.  I have the no "My Photo Stream" so no download location.

  • My I Pod will not download all content  to my laptop. running windows 7 and I Pod ver. 6.1.6.

My I Pod will not download all music contents to my I Tunes on my Lap top when I sync.  I have tried auto sync and manual download.  i am running Windows 7 and my I Pod is updated to version6.1.6.  I have tried to sync on two different lap tops and have deleted and reinstalled I Tunes on both lap tops.
    Any suggestions?

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
    Does iTunes see the iPod?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Try syncing using the manual method   Maye you did this by "manual download"
Managing content manually on iPhone, iPad, and iPod
You can only sync to one computer/iTunes library so try:
Backing up the iPOd and then restore from that backup
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

  • TS4036 I have restored a backup into a new iPad but it did not downloaded all my photos. There is a message saying " downloading 515 of 1230" but it never finishes downloading. How can I get all my photod downloadeda.

I have restored a backup into a new iPad but it did not downloaded all my photos. There is a message saying " downloading 515 of 1230" but it never finishes downloading. How can I get all my photod downloadeda.

Sorry this solution is late but I just got off of the phone with Apple support and this worked.
    Open iTunes
Connect your iPhone and keep it connected during this entire process.
In the iTunes menu at the very top (File, Edit, View) choose STORE> Sign in and sign into your iTunes account.
Once this is complete look at the upper right corner of iTunes and you will see an iPhone and Store button, cick STORE.  Now you will be in the iTunes store where you see the advertisements of the various albums, songs etc.  Look on your upper left of the window for your itunes account name and in the black band next to your iTunes account name, you will see a House icon, then Music, Movies, TV Shows etc.
Make sure the HOUSE icon is selected.
Stay on this screen in iTunes and on the lower RIGHT, you will see an area that says- QUICK LINKS.  In that area click - Purchased
After you do this you will be transported to another area of iTunes.  Here there will be a menu across the top- Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, Books are the choices.
Choose APPS and you will see the apps that you have purchased.  You will also see the apps that didn't download to your phone.
Find the apps that didn't download and click the cloud next to their name.  Doing this will download the chosen apps to the computer you are on.
Once you have downloaded the apps in question, in the upper right corner click LIBRARY.
Now you should see the button that says iPhone because your phone is still plugged in.  Click the iPhone button and then click SYNC on the lower right to sync your iPhone.
The apps you downloaded will now be on your phone.
Sorry for the long instructions but this is what works.
