ICloud bookmarks don't sync on iPad mini

I have an iPad mini 1st gen and have had it for over a year. Recently, I've noticed that my Safari bookmarks that I have updated on either my MBP mid-2010 Mavericks or my iPhone 5 are not being synced to my iPad. I am running the latest operating systems and have tried all of the troubleshooting tips on my iPad as suggested by the support KB article for this issue. Any solutions on how to fix this? Thank you!

This is odd. I was mainly trying to sync between Phone and Mac, which wasn't working even after re-enabling sync. However, once I enabled sync on the Ipad, THEN Mac and Phone synced. IE, all devices had to be refreshed before others talked to each other. Anyway, I lost some open safari windows (even though you have the option to save open windows when syncing or enabling private browsing, it doesnt work, it always closes all open windows), but it's working now, so GREAT!

  • I have trouble to find my photo after I sync my ipad mini with my laptop for the first time. I assume it is stored in iCloud, how to view it?

Please help! I'm really stressed out about this. I have lost all my recent family holiday photos after returning from overseas. After I sync my ipad mini with my laptop pc for the very first time. all the photos I had in my iPad mini has gone. I assume it was stored in iCloud.  As suggested i should download iCloud Control Pannel to my pc to which I did. After I click "manage storage", it shows I have used up 621.70MB of my total storage 5GB. I tried to click on the BACKUP icon, it displayed (incomplete) next to my ipad. What does it mean by incomplete? Where can I access my photo from icloud? Thank you and looking forward to your reply.

    Hi, Winston Churhill,
Thank you or taking your time reply this query. Unfortunately I still can't find my picture. My photo stream folder is empty! :(
But my iclod account says I have 621.7 MB backed up. What are they? How to access this backed up file? What does I meant by INCOMPLETE. Does it mean that the file ha been corrupted during the process? Or ICloud is not compatible to my laptop?
    Thank you.

  • I sync my iPad mini 2 with windows laptop.

I originally synced my iPad mini with my brothers laptop which is an Apple MacBook pro. I just bought a windows laptop and I want to sync it. But I have already had to restore my iPad once this year due to error and I don't want to do it again. Is there any other way?

Syncing to another computer that you have not normally synced to is going to remove anything that you have synced to the old computer. You will need to make sure your music is on the new computer, as well as contacts and calendar unless you are syncing them with iCloud.

  • I am a teacher trying to sync several ipad minis together.

I am a teacher trying to sync several ipad minis together.  I have them all loaded with the same apple ID with icloud on but they are not syncing.  I don't have a computer to do it through itunes.  Is this possible?  One ipad is loaded already.

I believe that you should be able to load the same software for up to five iPads from the same apple id.  You would need to pay for each paid app for each device loaded.
What happens when you login with your apple id on the second ipad?
Have you registered the second & Nth ipad with your apple id?
The intended way of doing this is to use an MDM like the free Meraki.

  • Cannot sync my iPad mini or my iPod touch. I have never had problems in past. Last sync, Jan. 2013

Cannot sync my iPad mini or my iPod touch. I have never had problems in past. Last sync, Jan. 2013. Have done diagnostic on both with itunes as it does recognize them and they comes up clean. Where do I go from here?

The music should be on your syncing computer.  Just sync the music to the iPod.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
However, the music and movie redownload is only applicable to the USA with the latest iTunes since iCloud (beta) is now available in the USA.

  • How do I sync my new ipad mini with my old ipad 2, without losing any apps or data in notes?  I need step by step instructions for first-time sync with ipad mini.  Thanks.

How do I sync my new ipad mini with my old ipad 2, without losing any apps or data in notes?  I need step by step instructions for first-time sync with ipad mini.  Thanks.

If you synced it many times, you have to have a backup. It's just a question of how old that backup is now. When did you last sync?
First of all launch iTunes on your computer and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. Do you see any backups for you iPad in that window? If so, how new is the newest backup? That will be the backup that you will want to use. But remember that if you use that backup and it is one month old, you can only restore from that date back in time. Anything that you did on the iPad in the past month will not be in that backup.
Turn on the new iPad Minin and start activating OTA via WiFi. You will get to a certain point in the process where you will be given the choice to Set up as new, Restore from iCloud - or Restore from iTunes. You will want to select Restore from iTunes.
That is the short and sweet version. There are step by step instructions in this article. This applies to the mini as well as the iPad 4 or the iPad 3 for that matter.

  • I need to sync an ipad mini with a regular ipad. If I were to open them plug them both into the same computers itunes, would they have identical information?

I need to sync an ipad mini with a regular ipad. If I were to open them plug them both into the same computers itunes, would they have identical information?

You will need to choose one as the "master", back that unit up to iTunes, then restore the other unit from that backup and then sync all the same content and apps. That's the only way they'd have identical data. If you need to keep then synched on an ongoing basis, you'll probably need to use some sort of cloud-based service such as iCloud or Dropbox to hold the data, which of course will require that your apps support that service for storage of documents.

  • HT1386 Having trouble syncing my ipad mini with iTunes

When I sync my ipad mini with my iTunes it appears the process is happening, the line indicating music is present on the ipad appears. But when the syncing is done the line disappears and no music has been loaded to the ipad.

Are you signed into the correct iD on the iPad in Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Apple ID?
Do you have Sync only  checked songs and videos selected in the Summary Tab of iTunes? If you do, are you selecting the music to sync? If you don't have that checked, have you selected the music to sync? Are you trying to sync the entire library?

    Hi sammieclue,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
You can download anything you've purchased from the iTunes Store directly to any of your devices.  Here's how:
Downloading past purchases from the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store

For future purchases, you can set your iPad mini and computer to automatically download purchases you make on your iPhone:

I hope this information helps ....

  • Can i sync my ipad mini to my imac snow leopard and then to my iphone4

can i sync my ipad mini to my imac snow leopard and then to my iphone4

iCloud requires OS X Lion (10.7.2) or higher.  You will need to upgrade to either Lion or Mountain Lion in order to set up iCloud on your Mac.  First check to see if your system meets the system requirements to upgrade.
    Lion system requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Mountain Lion system requirements are shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5444.
If you can run Mountain Lion, you can purchase an upgrade from the Mac App Store.  If you can only run Lion, contact the online store in your country and purchase a download code to download it from the Mac App Store.
After upgrading, you will find iCloud in System Preferences>iCloud on your Mac, and can set it up as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html.
Before upgrading, you may want to check the compatibility of your existing programs by checking here: http://roaringapps.com/apps:table.

  • Syncing with iPad mini does no longer work since latest update of iTunes

Syncing with iPad mini does no longer work since latest update of iTunes and iPad mini

    Hi grecokev,
Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
You mention that your iPod nano is no longer recognized by iTunes after an update. Reinstalling iTunes is a good troubleshooting step, and if the device still doesn't appear in iTunes, try the following steps next:
Turn off your computer and your iOS device or iPod, then turn them on again.
Check to make sure that you've installed all required updates for your computer.
Verify that the 30-pin to USB cable or Lightning Connector to USB cable is free of debris and not damaged. If another cable is available, test with that cable instead.
USB cables that are bundled with third-party products or accessories might work only to charge those products and might not transmit data. Also, if you're using a third-party case or extended battery pack, try removing the case and connecting the Apple-supplied USB cable directly to your device.
You can find these steps in this troubleshooting article:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support
If the steps above don't solve it, see the section of the article called "Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed" for some additional steps to try on your PC.
    Best Regards,
    Jeremy

  • When I try to sync my Ipad Mini, I get an error message that says "sync session failed to start".  Anyone ever deal with this?

When I try to sync my Ipad Mini, I get an error message that says "sync session failed to start".  Anyone ever deal with this?

Quit iTunes, restart your computer, restart your iPad and try again. If it doesn't work with a restart of the iPad, try a reset of the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • ITunes 11.1.3 wont sync with iPad mini 7.0.4

Okay so I just recently tried to sync my iPad mini with my windows 7 laptop and it simply wont work. I have tried to uninstall the apple driver and reinstall it (didn't work). I reset all the settings on my iPad (didn't work). I tried to unselect "entire library" and then select specific playlists to sync (didn't work). My iTunes recognizes the iPad mini perfectly fine, even when I click on "on this ipad" the newer songs are displayed but when i check the actual iPad the new music is not on it. I would really prefer to avoid resetting the entire ipad because i do use it mainly for gaming and would hate to lose my save data. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks :-D
ps i have never had any issue this ipad before

only http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538. also check the lightning to usb cord.

  • How can I get videos I've taken with iPhone 5 to sync to iPad mini?

I have several videos I've taken with my iPhone 5 and are currently on iTunes on my MBP. When I sync my iPad mini, it tells me the videos can't be sync'd because the format isn't supported on the mini. How in **** do I get this to work?

The same way you would put them on any other iOS device.
Connect the device to the computer.
    Launch iTunes.
Select the content desired to sync to the device.
    Sync.

  • HT4236 My pictures get shuffled into wrong events folders when syncing to iPad mini. Any suggestions?

My pictures get shuffled into wrong events when syncing to iPad mini. Any suggestions?

Photos are sorted by date modified when you sync from iTunes. If you have them arranged out of date sequence, they will not sync that way onto the iPad. You can read more here.
