Are your Mac, go to the Date & Time preferences. Is it set to set date and time automatically, and pulling time information from Apple Americas/U.S. Time?
Is the Time Zone correct?
Hope this helps,

  • How can I get iCloud to sync with Outlook 2011 calendars??

Recently got a new MBA11 and use an iPhone and rely heavily on Outlook. All I want to do is be able to sync my calendars and contacts across devices. When I used to be on Windows I could simply do this with Google Calendars and Google sync.
Outlook 2011 isn't or doesn't support syncing with google (not sure who's fault this is).
I thought iCloud would fix this however iCloud creates new calendars in iCal that won't sync with Outlook.
Does anyone know a work around?
Personally I would have thought this kind of thing would be simple, easy and a necessary function whether it be on google, apple or microsofts part!!

Microsoft have not made Outlook for Mac compatible with iCloud since they haven't bothered to include support for the industry standard CalDAV and CardDAV protocols iCloud uses.
    See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2648915
Apple cannot do anything to rectify this, as they don't make Microsoft Office. It is in Microsoft's hands.
It wasn't necessary to buy Office for Mac to sync with iCloud. All Macs come with all the applications required for syncing with iCloud for free.
Use Apple's Mail, Address Book and iCal.

  • ICloud not syncing with Outlook 2011 using Lion

My problem is bizarre and the more I seem to troubleshoot the worse it gets.  Since I only just bought my MacBook Pro, Lion was already installed.  I had an old MacBook and the transition was seemless until ICloud came along yesterday morning.  I signed up of course, as I knew I would eventually be forced to anyway and transitioned from MeMobile.  Now I have problems.  No sync between my Outlook 2011 and Address Book and ICloud.  I have been trying to find a solution and have tried the following:
    1. Deleted all the contacts in Address Book and reimported them from Outlook.  This worked fine and Address Book synced with ICloud.  However, when I made changes in Outlook, they would not sync with Address Book and thus not sync with ICloud.  The reverse was also true, i.e. changes and additions in ICloud or Address Book do not sync with Outlook.
    2. I shut down my computer and restarted.  Then I reset the sync services.  The result: All my Outlook Categories and Contacts appeared in Address Book along with all the contacts in ICloud.  When I click on all contacts, I get duplicates of course.  The interesting thing though is the contacts in "All on My Mac" tab in Address Book do not match those in ICloud and ICloud won't sync between the two.  So as a result, the problem above persists.  I still do not get any syncing between Outlook and ICloud/Address Book.  (This by the way was the case before I deleted everything from Address Book and imported everthing from Outlook......so I am exactly in the same place I was before I started troubleshooting........going in circles at this point in time).
By the way, everything works fine for e-mails.  However similar problem with ICal which has also doubled up on all info which was in ICloud and Outlook. I had a memobile account previous so ICloud just imported all that info I assume.  Also, everthing works fine between my IPhone and ICloud.  This is clearly an Outlook/Address Book Syncing problem.
    Any suggestions???

iCloud does not use Apple sync services and Outlook for Mac is not compatible with iCloud, but you should be able to get the mail working.

  • ICloud not syncing with Outlook

I just installed Outlook on a new Windows 7 PC, after having already had iOS/icloud on my iPhone.  Ive set up the iCloud Control panel to sync with Outlook (Contacts & Calanders) and nothing at all...  Any ideas?

    here from bzpilot:
I have used the solution below to fix mine and others that have run into this issue.
Start --> Programs --> Accessories (Right Click on Command Prompt) --> Run as Administrator
then type in:  "Netsh winsock reset"  (-without the quotes-)
Hit enter, restart PC, iCloud For PC should now connect without any server errors
(This solutions will work in some instances when trying to fix errors associated when you are unable to connect to iTunes also.)
    [end of quotation]
Used it and the pass change and now i can sync the mail, hope it helps you as well.

  • ICloud not syncing with Outlook 2010 Calendar

First I should say that I had successfully setup iCloud with all my devices:  iP4, iPad2 and Win7 PC with Outlook 2010.  A few days ago I had to reinstall Outlook.  I re-installed iCloud via Control Panel and successfully downloaded the iCloud Calendar to Outlook.  All the devices sync with iCloud but Outlook does not.   Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Glad that romlee's fix worked for Donawat! This iCloud situation is just a fiasco if you work in Windows and use Outlook.
I had been having problems with accurate syncing ever since I downloaded the OS 5, which is obviously not meant for the iPhone 4. (Phone has been glitchy too but that is another story.)
Previously, I was on Outlook 2007 with Windows 7 home premium. While I could get things to work, I was having the same problem that others have: duplicate entries, incorrect entries, entries that just won't show up, etc. After lots of research (and many what I consider wasted hours) I was able to find a fix that worked for me.
First of all, I want to point out that one of the reasons it doesn't work well is because Apple created a file format for iCloud that does not create a .PST file (which is what Outlook uses). Apple should just be up front about this as they have severely damaged their reputation with Windows users who have iPhones, plus they are wasting a lot of people's time.
Second, unless you already have a me.com account, you can no longer create one.
Third, I came to realize that iCloud does not update its records. It just keeps adding the same things over and over again which I theorize causes the duplicates. Even if you merge the calendars, it just creates new calendar threads (the new colored dot entries in calendar lists).
My goal was to GET RID OF iCLOUD. If you want to keep using iCloud, what I did probably won't help you but please read it and see if an idea to solve your problem arises out of it.
Before I had yesterday's problem, I took the time and spent the money to upgrade Windows 7 to the Ultimate version, and then updated Office to 2010 from 2007.
After all the files downloaded and installed, I proceeded to try and make syncing with iCloud work. Foolishly, I thought it would work better if I had the newer software.
I ended up spending a total of six hours trying to figure out where my Outlook data went, why my calendar and contacts weren't showing in my personal files, and trying to get it back where it belonged. After more research and hours spent updating my data files, I was able to move things back to Outlook personal folders. What I ended up doing was this:
    1) In Outlook 2010, if syncing via iCloud, you will see personal folders and iCloud folders. Open the iCloud folders and look at all the Calendars (it just keeps creating them; there were 5 export to outlook calendars and I think 7 iCloud calendars). Find the calendar that is yours (the one you know is the most recent and has the info you are looking for).
    2) When you identify the correct calendar, open it using list view. (You can access that in Outlook 2010 via the View menu, then use the change view button). The list of dates will show up as a list in date order from oldest to newest. Review this entire list and delete all the duplicates or things you don't want to keep. Once this is done, you are ready to move the file.
    3) After you have your calendar file the way you want it, still in list view, hit control + a to select all, then press the copy to folder button. A window will open with all your files in it; select the calendar -personal folders file and click ok. Change your view to Calendar and you will see that all the items have moved over. WARNING: because of all the weirdness with iCloud, some of your recurrences and other dates may be missing. I found this happened with recurrences rather than appointments because the appointments are duplicated so many times but some other things may be missing.
at this point, it (the calendar) does not yet show up in outlook today. *You will change your data file in account settings later.*
    4) Go back to the iCloud folders and open the contacts. Select list, select all, and then copy to contacts-personal folder as with the calendar items. Check your contacts there and make sure the list has moved.
    5) Close outlook.
    6) Open iTunes with your phone connected via USB. Under info, switch everything you want to sync back to Outlook. Then close iTunes and unplug your USB connection.
    7) Find your iCloud icon under Control Panel. Select "sign out." It is not necessary to keep a copy unless it makes you feel more comfortable. If you have another backup system like Carbonite you should be okay. Of course, it never hurts to make a copy (but if you do, it takes awhile and it is not clear where it ends up).
    8) Open outlook again; go to account settings. Under data files, select Personal Folders as the default file. You will still see an iCloud archive on your list after you change it.
    9) after you do this, it  will take several minutes for Outlook to switch over to the Personal Folders data file. Be patient. After this is done, you will be able to use Outlook 2010 without the iCloud files showing up or interfering with the function of the software or syncing.
    10) Once Outlook has successfully switched files, close it again.
    11) On your iPhone, go to settings and select the iCloud menu. Turn off iCloud sync on each item you have been syncing. When it asks if you want to keep all the items that iCloud has placed there, select DELETE.
This is an act of bravery; I had no idea what would happen when I did it. However, it worked out fine because it wiped my calendar and contacts clean on the iPhone. No more duplicates. A bit scary because no more ANYTHING but when I synced the phone again, it all came back -- and no dupes.
    12) after you turn off iCloud on your phone, plug your iPhone into the USB port, turn on iTunes. After iTunes recognizes your phone, it will sync again. All your contacts and calendar items will be transferred back to your iPhone (and no duplicates!)
I am very pleased that I was able to figure this out, but disgusted at Apple's irresponsibility with claiming iCloud works with everything. It obviously doesn't and I wasted a lot of time and lost some data due to the iCloud.
In summary: This is what I did to get rid of iCloud. If you want to keep it, I don't know how helpful this will be.
Reminder: I did this in a Windows 7 Ultimate environment with Outlook 2010. I also have iTunes 10.5.2 (most recent version). Note: In Outlook 2007, 10.5.2 causes a glitch that claims iTunes can't find Outlook even if it is there.
You can repair the glitch in 2007 by closing all your programs, go to the control panel, then open the Programs menu. Find your Office 2007 program and right click. It gives you the option to repair or uninstall. Select REPAIR and then the windows installer will run. Follow the prompts and then restart. You will be able to see Outlook again from iTunes.
Hopefully, this will help others not waste time trying to make their technology function smoothly!
Thanks to the Apple community for the answers I've received.

  • ICloud Contacts Sync with Outlook 2007

I have an iPhone5 and an iPad2. I have been using iCloud to sync Contacts between these two devices for a few days without any problems.
Today I installed iCloud Control Panel on my PC (running Windows 7 and Outlook 2007) to let me keep Contacts in sync between my iPhone5, iPad2 and Outlook.
Everything seems to be working correctly and Contacts are in sync between all three devices. However, in Outlook I see a message at the bottom of the window which says "Synchronising Hierarchy" - there is a rotating icon to the right of the message. This message has been displayed for the last 3 hours.
Does this indicate some aspect of sync is still in progress or is there a problem?
Thanks in anticipation of your help.

On his phone, sign in Settings>iCloud and enable Mail so that he can have his own email address. Then add your account in Settings>Mail, Contacts & Calendars and enable Contacts and Calendars. They will then appear on his phone alongside any syncing he has set up. This will keep your emails separate, or you can add Mail as well so that you can both access that if you want. You can add his account in the same way on your phone and enable any data types you want to sync.

  • ICloud Not syncing with Outlook 7

I have properly installed iCloud on my PC that meets all requirements for instalation. I am running Outlook 7 on this computer.
After it installs and I log into my iCloud account (through the icloud program), it downloads my Contact and Calandar information to Outlook. The problem is the two applications (iCloud and Outlook) don't update any further. I can add a contact or calendar event on Outlook but it doesn't appear on iCloud. This is the same when I add it to iCloud, the information (contact or Calendar event) doesn't get updated on my Outlook.
During this time, I do have the iCloud program running on my PC. I've tried to close outlook with no luck. The only way I can get them to update and be in sync is only when I log out of the iCloud application and then log back in. This becomes very tiresome. Is there anything that I can do to fix this issue?

That is what it does. There is no sync, you have a new calendar.

  • IPhone quit syncing with Outlook after disabling iCloud

I have a new iPhone.  I hooked it up with a cable to my laptop running Win 7 and did a sync using iTunes with Outlook Pro Plus 2010.  Everything sync'd fine (calendar, contacts, notes).  I did several syncs.  I decided to try syncing with iCloud and so installed iCloud on the pc and turned sync on the phone.  It didn't do what I thought it would so I turned it off (selected off on the iphone and uninstalled iCloud off the laptop).  At this point, I said I did not want data from iCloud saved on my phone for calendar, but I think I said to save it for the other two apps.  I then noticed that I no longer had a "calendar" listed under my calendars (I still have some internet calendars I have linked to), but not the default calendar.  I can only save new items to one of the internet calendars.  There isn't a "add calendar" button on the phone to add more calendars on the phone - only to add calendars with outlook.com, exchange, gmail, etc.
I tried syncing to Outlook, but it will no longer sync.  It will sync notes and contacts fine (I tested both and it seems to be working fine).  I have tried closing and rebooting both pc and phone, uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling, resetting sync in itunes, setting sync to push data from the pc to the phone.  I turned iCloud sync on for calendar and then shut it back off...but this time, I told it to save the data on the phone.  The "calendar" saved from pc showed up on the phone.  However, it won't sync with Outlook.  In iTunes, it was showing two "calendars" with both selected.  I added a new calendar at that point on the phone called calendar.  I deleted the other calendars that iCloud added - but still no luck on syncing.  After deleting all the iCloud calendars and the added calendar, the two listings in iTunes went away (when syncing was working, there weren't any individual calendars listed in iTunes).
I think the issue is from 1 of 2 things: 1) something got messed up with they sync and it is trying to sync to a blank calendar in my outlook - not looking at the default calendar  (unlikely)  2) it can't sync with the phone because the default calendar no longer exists on the phone (likely).
Any ideas on how to recover the default calendar or how to fix the sync issue?  I have been trying to find all I can on the internet, but after troubleshooting for several hours, I am at a loss.
    Thanks

I figured out how to recover the calendar and get syncing again (or at least a work around), so thought I would post in case someone else has the issue.  To recover the calendar, you need to log out of all calendars on the iPhone and it will recreate the default calendar.  When you try to log back into another calendar, it will ask if you want to delete the default and warn that there may be duplicates by not deleting it.  Since it was blank, duplicates wasn't a concern.
To recover syncing again, I looked up where the sync files are stored.  I copied all folders that looked like they had anything to do with syncing to a temporary folder in case I had issues that I needed to recover from.  I then went in and deleted all the sync files I could find from the date I tried to use iCloud.  I also deleted the sync database which caused iTunes to not be able to sync correctly.  Next, I did a repair on iTunes.  When it came back up, it allowed me to reset everything up as if I hadn't sync'd the phone before.  It seems to now be working again.

  • How do I remove one of the calendars from iCloud but keep it on the iPhone to sync with Outlook by USB and keep the other calendars synced on iCloud ?

iPhone 5, Macs and iPads at home, Windoze7 system at work.
Using iCloud to sync calendars, contacts, etc on all the home devices.  Used USB cable to sync at work with the Windows system, with the Outlook 2010 corporate account (corporate server).  I need only the Outlook calendar to be synced, syncing the contacts created too many problems with duplication, etc.  No need for that.  Worked fine until the latest upgrate to iOS7 and iTunes 11.1.  Used to have a calendar that was not on iCloud and was simply and exclusively syncing between the iPhone and the Windows computer at work. The other 3 calendars synced fine with the macs and iOS devices via iCloud but not with the machine at work - keeping private records private.
Upon the iOS upgrade, all calendars are now on iCloud.  I am no longer able to remove one - for security too - from the iCloud and sync it with the Windows computer exclusively.  I managed to sync it once on the PC with iTunes by switching iCloud off on the iPhone before connection by USB cable.  Trying it again, it tells me that it will erase all items on the Outlook account (the "more than 25% of your records are going to change" alert) and won't add or modify any.  I stopped the sync in time...
Tried on the iCloud site for a solution to remove the calendar, nothing.
There is no iCloud setup on this corporate computer - no access permitted. The USB cable connection is the only solution and up to the upgrade of the iOS this went seamlessly.
    Any solution out there?
    Thanks
    Vladski

I share a similar situation (usb iTunes sync with Outlook with my corporate laptop; personal calendar on icloud).
With IOS7, at first, iTunes/Windows does not propose Outlook sync anymore. I need to switch off calendar from iTunes to enable usual usb sync with Outlook. I had to sync it twice while checking "replace iphone data" to get a stable behaviour (like before) IOS7.When I try to re-enable icloud calendars, it proposes me to merge them...
I did not test merging so far...
IOS7 and iTunes 11.1 are not completely polished ;-)

  • The last update turned on iCloud. How do I get my calendar to sync with outlook now?

The last update turned on iCloud. How do I get my calendar to sync with outlook now?

iCloud wasn't on, I accepted iTunes offer to upgrade to 6.1.1.
Next time I went to sync through iTunes, iCloud was on.
Your advice appears to have solved my problem...for now.
    Thank you.
Historically, the upgrade to 6.0 lost all of my contacts.
A manual restore brought them back.
Tech support said "Oh, that happens sometimes, you have to back up before upgrades", fortunately I do.
Again, thank you for the help.

  • TS4118 Ever since I got the iphone 5  my phone/icloud calender and contacts will not remain synced with Outlook.  I am constantly having to sign in and sign out and  unlink and re link to Outlook.

Ever since I got the iphone 5  my phone/icloud calender and contacts will not remain synced with Outlook.  I am constantly having to sign in and sign out and  unlink and re link to Outlook.  this creates multiple categories of contacts and calenders and I have no idea which is syncing with my phone, ipad, outlook.  Help.  thanks.

Sounds like the Outlook plugin isn't working properly.  You could try a couple of things:
Go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, uninstall iCloud, the download and install the iCloud contol panel for Windows again from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455.  Then sign back into your iCloud account and check your syncing settings again.
Uninstall iTunes and all of its components as by following this guide exactly: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7, then reinstall iTunes.  You must follow this guide exactly or it will not be successful.  (Uninstalling iTunes will only remove the application; it will not touch your iTunes library or data.)  This will replace the Outlook plugin.
Then try your calendar again and see if it will sync properly now.
