Icloud calendar declining old appointments

This is the second time this has happened.
Today, iCloud started sending declined invitation notices for events that happened between 2009-2011.
The first time this happened, I shut down icloud everywhere and swore never to use icloud again.
I haven't touched icloud since.  Is there a way to delete my icloud account to prevent this from happening again?

That is just the problem.  When I log on to iCloud calendar, there are no appointments and iCloud mail has no messages.  I deleted everything from my account last time icloud did this about 6 months ago.  I have not used it at all since.
I can not see where these emails are coming from.  There is no record of anything in either icloud mail or icloud Calendar.
So, you see my frustration here.  Somehow iCloud is finding my work Exchange Account and sending cancellation emails using my work email address

  • Sync iCal with iCloud Calendar

None of my appointments in iCal show up in my iCloud Calendar. In fact my iCloud Calendar has no appointments in it. I am sure I screwed something up in the coversion and trying to remove all the duplicate entries. In any event, how do I go about syncing forcing the appointments in iCal to show up in iCloud Calendar.

Problem resolved, and I can now see the other replies, strange.
Anyway, make sure you have a back up copy of your address book and iCal. Use the Export feature to make a back up.
This is what I did to finally resolve the problem.
Go into System Preferences and open "Mail, Contacts & Calendars". Remove all accounts, use the - box.
Go into System Preferences and open "iCloud". Make sure that you have the screen that asks you to sign up for an account. DO not do this yet.
Open Mac Mail and Preferences and remove any accouts that are still showing up so your Mail is completely empty.
Reboot your Mac. Check all the above to see if any accounts have been automatically reinstalled or set up. If they have remove them again.
Reboot again and do the same thing. Once no accounts are showing open you iCal and import the file you exported earlier. This will restore all your appointments in iCal on your Mac.
Reboot your Mac. Make sure that all the iCloud and email accounts are not there. I had to do this 3 times, for what ever reason my old MobileMe account continue to be added back to "Mail, Contacts & Calendars". Once everything is clean and you have all your appointments in iCal, reboot again.
Open Preferences and open "iCloud". Add your primary iCloud account and just wait for everything to finish installing. You should see 2 sets of appointments in iCal. Click on the Calendars button in the upper left and uncheck the box under the heading that does not say iCloud. This does not remove any of the appointments it just hides the ones that are on your Mac and then shows the ones that are on the iCloud Calendar.
One last thing. In iCal open Preferences form the iCal dromdown menue. Under the "Default Calendar" option make sure that you have the default calendar related to the iCloud Calendar checked. If you do not when ever you create a new appointment on your Mac you will be creating it in iCal and two things will happen. First all your iCal appointments on your Mac will show up again and secondl, that appointment will not show up in iCloud Calendars so it will not migrate to your other devices.
Apple should give some thought to having the iCal and iCloud Calendars merged so there are not seperate sets of appointments. I know there must be some reason for doing it the way they did but if someone is going to be using iCloud what would be the purpose of having a seperate set of appointments on your Mac that you have to hide and then worry about entering a new appointment that may not migrate to iCloud if you happend to se that appointment up in the iCal list instead of the iCloud list.

  • Where have all the old appointments gone from my calendar?

Now that I have signed up for iCloud, I can't find the old appointments in my calendar.  I need those for billings.  Anybody know where I can find them?

I think you;ll find them in iCloud. When I downloaded Mavericks, a warning came up that advised that my contacts and calendars would move to iCloud.
In the Favorites bar, click on iCloud and you should see a number of icons:
This is mine.Although my calendars have moved to iCloud and lost from the original calendars, I now have 2 sets of Contacts. Just click on Calendars and it should show up, albeit in a slightly different arrangement.

  • ICloud accepting old appointments

When I upgraded my consulting macbook pro to 10.7.2 and iCloud, it went and accepted (and emailed responses) to old appointments.  I only recieved cursious repsonses from some of my clients, but I fear it may have spammed everyone.  Searching around doesn't reveal anyone else with this problem (although someone contaced me directly via my blog who has the same issue).
Does anyone else knonw what's going on?  Why would iCloud send a response to a meeting that's almost 4 years old?

I synched my work calendar to ICloud on my home PC and office PC and the cloud sent replies to all meeting invitees for meetings future and old meetings that had been originally scheduled by my acceptance of a meeting request organized by someone else --with me as the organizer, even though I was not and had not taken any action to re-respond or send notice to all attendees.  It appeared I was rescheduling all my clients and business contacts' meetings as my own for all dates past and future.  If I deleted an appointment that had been scheduled as a meeting request it sent a meeting cancellation notice to all attendees with me listed as the organizer, even though I was not.  This occurred hours after synching for the first time and ICloud continued to hijack new appointment requests as they came in the next day and resend a new meeting invitation to all recipients with me as the organizer.  I had to disable the cloud for my calendar and hard synch.  I am running Outlook 2007 at home and 2010 at the office.  Still working with ICloud to synch contacts between PC's and Iphone.  I cannot find any posts where Apple is working to address this problem.  No action on meeting requests past future or otherwise should be taken without authorization of the user.

  • I have added a work colleague to my family's members on iCloud so we can share the calendar for work appointments. However whe heakes purchases on iTunes I now get charged. How can I stop this happening?

ive added my work coleague to my iCloud account so we can share the calendar on our I-phones for work appointments. when he makes a purchase on iTunes i now get charged though so how do I stop this from happening? also can I just share only work appointments or do i have to share the whole calendar with him? Can I select what he sees?

    Hi Frantic503,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
When you are the Family Sharing organizer, purchases are billed to your account unless the family member making purchases has an iTunes Gift Card or iTunes credit on their account. The attached article has more information on how this process works.
    Family Sharing - Apple Support
What I may suggest in your situation would be to discontinue the Family Sharing and use iCloud calendar sharing. Using this method keeps your accounts separate but allows you to still share your calendar.

  • After installing iCloud on PC, appointments are grayed out in my Outlook iCloud calendar; don't show up on iPad calendar but do show up on iPhone calendar

I have been working on this issue for DAYS and have searched the web and this support community but can find no answers.  I have a PC, iPad, and iPhone.  I installed iCloud on my PC so that I could sync calendars, contacts, and maybe tasks.  Nothing I have tried has worked.
The iCloud calendar that appeared alongside my Outlook calendar on my PC has all of my Outlook appointments - but they are all grayed out.
The appointments that were on both my iPhone and my Outlook calendar are now grayed out on my Outlook calendar - but if I close my iCloud calendar in Outlook, these appointments are no longer grayed out.  These appointments now appear twice on my iPhone.
The appointments in my Outlook calendar appear in my iPhone calendar but do not show up in iCloud in my web browser nor on my iPad (not even grayed out).
My contacts appear to have synced from Outlook to iPhone - but have not synced with iCloud online nor my iPad.
    This is beyond frustrating.
    Some basics:
    Windows 7 Enterprise, 32 bit
    Outlook 10
iCloud is enabled on the iPhone and iPad
phone and pad operating systems are up to date
I turned off and then restarted my iPad - didn't work
I turned off and then restarted my PC - didn't work
I uninstalled and then reinstalled iCloud on my PC - didn't work

I'm having the identical events...Outlook calendar entries grayed out on my PC installed iCloud and absent on my iPhone. iPhone entries do show up in Outlook.

  • Appointments emailed from iCloud calendar in Outlook are not received on IOS device using exchange calendar.

I email tons of appointment invitations from my iCloud calendar in Outlook.  Appointments synch to IOS devices and are on icloud.com.  People receive invitations in Outlook and on IOS devices.  My husband runs IOS devices with exchange calendars.  He never receives the appointment invitations.  All of the appointment invitations are on his iCloud.com account.  Can he synch to both exchange and iCloud?  WIll this allow him to see the invitations I send that are hung up in iCloud?

Could be a corrupt item, this usually fixes it if that is the case

close outlook and any word files, open outlook back up after 15 seconds.
    Then
    goto file import/export
import from another program or file, next

  • Calendar Keeps Deleting old Appointments

Has anyone ever run in to this
My old appointments, or appointments that have passed get deleted from my Blackberry after I have to re-boot the device.
I am not tied in to a desktop calendar, and my settings are to keep appointments forever.
    This is getting annoying -
    Its a Blackberry 8330
    v4.5.0.127
    platform 3.4.0.20

Sounds like the device may be running out of memory.
Can you check under Options | Status and make note of your File Free number. Afterwards reset the device by removing the battery and 1 min and replace it and let the device reboot. After it's done check and see if your File Free Number increased.
Also do you have a lot of third part applications on the device that you don't need? If so you can do into Options | Advanced Options | Applications and delete the ones you no longer need.

  • Can anyone help me determine why iCloud changes the calendar time of appointments.

Here's my situation: i use an iphone registered/acquired in spain. the phone is unlocked and now carries a t-mobile card, as i am currently in nyc, but all my calendar appointments have a 6 hour time difference from those entered on my mac and vice versa. there are several threads about this issue, all of which point to the various hardware and software settings (time zone support on or off on the iphone as well as on the app on mac and phone). another user mentioned the setting provided for in the icloud calendar function itself, where the proper time zone can be modified. all to no avail, i stil get my 6 hour time difference.
    anyone please?
    thanksamillion!

Thank you fromsouth, for your interest, but it didn't help.
I have 3 scenarios: Entering an appointment on the mac's calendar, on the phone's, and on iCloud's calendar. If I enter an appointment on the mac, it shows up correctly on iCloud, but is off by 6 hours on my phone's app. If I enter it on the phone's app, it will be off on iCloud and therefore off too on the mac. I've deleted the app (I use WeekCal, but see the same discrepancies on the iCal app) and reset it all new, but the problem prevails. Unlike my earlier assumption that the problem lies with iCloud, I now believe it is in the phone, although wouldn't know where. I see that the iCal app on OS has the ability to adjust for the time zone. When entering the event on the phone, it gets syncronized on the Mac at the phone's time zone, which for some reason appears to be set at my original Spanish setting (GMT+1), even after I reset the time zone to NY. I can manually adjust the calendar time zone setting on my Mac to EST to correct the time for the appointment.
    Quite frustrating!

  • How can I keep old appointments from deleting in my iphone calendar?

It seems iphone's calendar automatically deletes past appointments.  It won't even let me make an appointment for something that happened in the past.  I need to reference old appointments though so is there some way to make the iphone save old appointments or at least ask me?  It has nothing to do with syncing to my computer as I rarely do that.  This is really annoying.  My old Palm would save everything and it was great since I could go back and see the last time I went to the dentist, etc.  Is there a fix to this?

    Hi Allan
Thanks for this.  I couldn't believe it when I had a wages query at work and all my carefully recorded shifts had disappeared!
I don't understand this bit though....
And what is selected for this under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
Do I need to do anything in itunes?
    Many thanks
    Katie

  • How do I remove duplicate appointments from my iCloud calendar?

My appointments on the iCloud calendar are duplicated - how do I sort it?

Once you click to open it, in the menu bar at the top, click File, then Print:
Then you should see the window pictured in my first post here. In that window, click Continue after selecting the date you want to print (under the Time range header), and then it will ask you which printer to print to. Click Print and that's all.

  • ICal and iCloud Calendar Appointments Problems Following Daylight Savings Time Change

This morning following the daylight savings time change, I noticed that some but not all of my appointments had shifted forward an hour. Strangely enough, some are correct on the iCloud calendar but are still not correct in iCal. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Here's another anomaly: the info panel is showing the correct time while the calendar view is not! I have turned off time zone support in both iCal and the iCloud calendar. It's so frustrating when you rely on these tools--especially for appointments--and you find that you can't trust them to be accurate!

    samdale67,
Have you had any luck fixing this problem yet?
I just noticed today that my iCloud calendar is consistently one hour behind my iPhone4s calendar. It's as if my iCloud calendar never got the Daylight Savings Time Spring Forward message. The iPhone, on the other hand, updated to DST right on schedule. It's annoying because I'm starting to use my iCloud calendar and would like the time change to be applied.

  • Can you automatically have @me emails set up appointments in iCloud calendar?

I was just wondering if there was any way to have incoming emails, that have recognized appointments in them, to automatically set them selves up as an appointment in the iCloud calendar?

    Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

  • HT203521 In iOS8 I can't turn off shared iCloud calendar alerts. I share iCloud calendars with 3 others and am constantly getting their alarms for upcoming appointments. Settings- Notifications- Calendar- Shared Calendar Changes turns off changes only.

Have had new iPhone 6 for 2 months, using iOS 8.  I share iCloud calendars with 3 others and I am getting bombarded with their upcoming appointment alerts.  There seems no way to turn this off.  I went to Settings->Notifications->INCLUDE(Calendar)->Shared Calendar Changes and turned everything off, but this only blocks alerts about new events or changes to events being added to the calendars, it does not block the 5-minute/10-minute/etc. alarms that go off immediately in advance of the appointment.  There used to be a setting in iOS7 in "Mail, Contacts, and Calendars" way at the bottom to turn off alarms from shared calendars, but I don't see that in iOS8.  Any ideas?

Finally figured this out when I read jodiemcneill 's post about Google calendars.  Thanks!
Reposting the basic idea: to turn off event alerts from shared ICloud calendars, select the Calendar App, then click the "info" (i.e., the circled red 'i') icon next to the shared iCloud calendar to be silenced. Go down to "Notifications" and turn the slider off for "Event Alerts: (Allow events on this calendar to display alerts.)"
For good measure, you can also turn off the slider for "Show Changes" to prevent the calendar from displaying messages when shared events are added/modified/deleted, although this can be done "globally" for all shared iCloud Calendars in Settings->Notifications->Calendar->Invitations (turn off all sliders, click "none" for Alert Style).
This has been a major pain in the ... neck ... for the past 3 months.  So glad to start the new year with a suddnely-much-quieter iPhone 6.

  • HT4436 I have a secretary who I would like to have access to my icloud calendar for filling empty appointments.  Can she sign up for an icloud account without owning any apple product?

I have a question about wanting my secretary to have access to my Icloud calendar so she can see open times.  Can she subscribe to get icloud account without having an iphone, ipad, or mac?

To create an iCloud account it must be set up with an Apple ID on a device with iOS5 or a Mac with OS X Lion.
Each iOS device can create three iCloud accounts.
