Icloud calendar no longer working in outlook

I had my icloud calendar set up in outlook and it was working fine. suddenly I could no longer access it and I got a message saying "the set of folders cannot be opened. the information store cannot be opened."

Did you get your problem resolved?  I have Outlook 2007 and have to update to 2010.  Am very fearful of losing everything.  I have iPhone 4S and so far have refused to update to iOS 7 as I think it will force me to update to current version of iTunes which then forces iCloud 2+ which is not fully compatible with Outlook, unless there have been updates since December 2013.  I have iCloud 1.1.0.40 which is fully compatible with Outlook 2007.  I can edit Outlook and have hyperlinks, either on my PC (Windows 7) or iPhone.  iCloud 2+ does not support editing and hyperlinks which are very important to me.  Does anyone know what will happen when I update to Outlook 2010 or iOS 7?
Thanks so much for any help anyone can give me.  Microsoft is still pervasive in the working world.

  • ICloud is no longer working with Outlook

today my outlook calendar stopped updating through iCloud.  I opened the iCloud control panel and "contacts" and "calendar" are no longer an option to sync.  My only two options are "photo stream" and "bookmarks"
Also when opening the iCloud control panel a note pops up that says "Repair the iCloud control panel to use iCloud with Outlook"  I've done this 5 times  I've also uninstalled iCloud for PC and reinstalled it twice  Still pops up with the "repair" notice.
    Please help!

Since the 20 September 2012, I have been experiencing the same problem.  This morning, I have been able to add calendar events by logging onto ICLOUD.COM and the updated calendar events are reflecte on my IPHONE and IPAD.
    I am experiencing this problem:
I add a diary event in Microsoft Outlook 2010.  Before the 20 September 2010, this diary event automatically synchronises on my IPAD and IPHONE calendar.  At this point of time, an updated diary event in Outlook 2010 is not reflected in my IPAD and IPHONE Calendar.
When I add a diary event on my IPHONE, the diary event sychronises on my IPAD diary.  However, the diary event does not synchronise on my Outlook PC.
    Can anyone help me out?
I have uinstalled ICLOUD; reinstalled it and I have been following these discussion forums.

  • ICloud calendar no longer syncs to Outlook 2010

I am putting appointments on my iPhone 4 and they post to iCloud, but they will not post to Outlook 2010 calendar. When I click Refresh button in Outlook to refresh the calendar from iCloud, nothing happens. I have my iPhone set up to sync calendars via iCloud. I have the latest version of iTune and IOS.

    I had the identical problem
[iPhone-iCloud-Outlook] didn't work, only into the Cloud, while [Outlook-iCloud-iPhone] worked perfectly. the refresh button never changed anything.
just now I tried to "fix" instead of "uninstall" the iCloud software from my PC and it asked me then to sort of set up the iCloud anew. Despite duplicates (of entire calendars, not calendar entries) which I now deleted with a single mouse click, everything worked perfectly.
it's a bit weird that this simple solution did it for me after hours of reading through all the forums. maybe the iCloud software was renewed without letting us know we needed to update it.

  • HT203687 iCloud is now no longer working with Outlook running on Windows Vista. Is this still unresolved?

iCloud is no longer working with my Outlook 2007 running on Windows Vista.  Is there any resolution from Apple?

    Hi,
Please check whether the issue happens when using the Outlook 2010 with Windows server 2003 SP2 to access other mailboxes, such as new created Exchange 2013 mailbox or other migration mailbox.
Since the issue doesn’t occur when using Outlook in other machine, the mailbox configuration in Exchange server side should be correct. Please
    create a new Outlook profile
for the problematic user in Windows server 2003 with Outlook 2010 to have a try.

I followed all of these instructions, but still iCloud Calendar will not sync to Outlook Calendar.  Calendar entries will sync from Outlook to iCloud, but not vice versa.  What do I do now?.

When syncing Contacts or Calendars between an iPhone, iPad, or an iPod touch and Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2010, changes that you synced to your computer may not appear in Outlook even after the sync has been completed.Try this article to see if it works for you

  • How do i get calendar invites to open and update icloud calendar instead of my local outlook account?

I recently started using iCloud for my calendar and have installed the MS Outlook iCloud plug in, but whenever I receive calendar invitations in any of the mail accounts I have configured in Outlook, only my local calendar on my computer is being updated.   How do I set up Outlook to have incoming calendar invitations update my iCloud calendar?   I even tried opening the iCloud website, but all calendar items there also show up as .ics files, which automatically open in MS Outlook on my computer and again update only my local calendar (personal folders).   I also tried setting the default data file in MS Outlook to the iCloud data file, but when I did that, Outlook gives an error message advising against setting the iCloud calendar as the default.   I'm at a total loss and would GREATLY appreciate any advice anyone might be able to provide.    Thanks to all for your time!

    Hi Marknoon,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
In order to resolve this issue where you are unable to use iCloud calendars in Outlook, please follow the steps below, ensuring you follow them in order and testing after each step.
Troubleshooting on Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Outlook)
If you're having trouble with iCloud Calendar on a PC (with Outlook 2007 or later), try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved.
Note: iCloud Control Panel does not support Outlook 2010 Personal Edition. When using iCloud Control Panel 2.0 and later, iCloud Calendar event descriptions in Outlook 2010 do not support text formatting (bold, italics, or underline), HTML, images, or attachments. The contextual menu (right-click) has also been disabled.
Verify that you are using a Windows configuration supported by iCloud.
Make sure that your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in Outlook. Learn about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Outlook requires port 443 access to iCloud to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Calendar servers.
Verify that your iCloud member name is entered into the iCloud Control Panel window. Learn about setting up iCloud on Windows.
Close and reopen the iCloud Control Panel.
Make sure that iCloud is not your default account in Outlook:
In Outlook 2013 and 2010, select File > Info > Account Settings > Data Files. If iCloud is listed as the default account in the Comments column, select a different account and click Set as Default.
In Outlook 2007, select File > Data File Management > Data Files. If iCloud is listed as the default account in the Comments column, select a different account and click Set as Default.
If you recently made changes in Outlook and they are not updating on your other devices or vice versa, click the Refresh button in Outlook.
Turn iCloud Calendar off and back on:
    Close Outlook.
    Open the iCloud Control Panel:
In Windows 8.1, go to the Start screen, click the down arrow  in the lower-left corner, then click the iCloud app.
In Windows 8, go to the Start screen, then click the iCloud tile.
In Windows 7, choose Start menu > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
Deselect the checkbox next to Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks, and click Apply. Wait a few seconds, then replace the checkmark and click Apply.
Open Outlook and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
Make sure that the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active within Outlook. (Learn more about managing Add-ins with Microsoft Outlook.)
    Outlook 2013 and 2010:
    Open Outlook 2013 or 2010.
    Click the File menu.
Click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window.
Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" and verify that "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
    Outlook 2007:
    Open Outlook 2007.
From the Tools menu, choose Trust Center.
Select Add-ins from the left column.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" and verify that "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it reinitializes your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
Note: When enabling Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks in the iCloud Control Panel, part of the setup process is to copy your Calendars data from the default Outlook .pst file to iCloud, then remove the Calendars from the .pst file by placing them in the Deleted Items folder in Outlook. The Calendars data is then stored in the iCloud data set within Outlook so that changes can be pushed to and from Outlook by iCloud. Make sure that you're looking for your data within the iCloud folder in Outlook after enabling Calendars in the iCloud Control Panel. The deleted files can be seen by viewing Deleted Items within your Outlook Folder List. This is not iCloud removing your data. iCloud simply copies your data into the iCloud data set and then removes the local Calendars data by placing it in the Deleted Items folder.

    Hi skippy2012trev,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud - Apple Support
    Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.
    Cheers,
    Joe

  • How can I copy iCloud calendar and contact back to Outlook personal folder?

After I install iCloud control panel for Windows 7 and turn on, it copied everything calendar and contact into iCloud and delete everything from Outlook Personal Folder.   I DONT WANT THIS!!!     How can I copy iCloud calendar and contact back to Outlook personal folder?

  • ICloud account no longer working in Messages app

About 2 weeks ago, my iCloud account has stopped working in the Messages app (version 7.0.1) on my laptop (MacBook Pro 2011, running the latest Mountain Lion update, 10.8.5). Only this app seems to be affected -- Mail is functioning fine, as is Notes and Calendar. My iPhone and iPod touch also aren't affected.
I was texting one of my friends while multitasking (I think I was working on a story I'm writing) when I realized that I was no longer receiving my text notifications on my computer. Initially I thought it just had logged out or something. I opened messages and tried to log back in to my icloud account, but I got the error message "Could not sign in to iMessage. The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later." I tried multiple times that day, and have multiple times since, but still no luck. Finally a day or two ago I thought maybe I just needed to deactivate iCloud on my laptop completely, and then reactivate it. So I tried that, but still I'm getting the error message.
Incidentally, I have AIM enabled on Messages, too, but that account seems to be functioning - it's logged in and messages can be sent/received. Only my iCloud account seems to be failing.
I don't have any outstanding updates in the App Store, and in the meantime I'm able to iMessage friends just fine from my phone, but I kinda miss being able to easily switch apps and type, while I've got my laptop open. Any ideas what the issue might be?

Try posting this question over in the OS X Mountain Lion forum.  iMessage is not part of iCloud.

  • HT4864 imap no longer works in outlook

suddenly i cant get imap to work in outlook. i have checked all settings. I can access the account through web. Is there a new MS patch that breaks Outlook using imap with icloud?

i get the problem only on my two (both) PCs. One is set up with Icloud control panel. the other manually, which had never used iCloud email account before. It is the imap server that seems to be the problem. most recent update to PC was 3 days ago. I came home tonight and it was complaining about password. iPhone only uses icloud account to sync my calendar. only using that because Google decided to never support there sync program and then killed it.
I only am trying to get my calendars to sync. should not be such a challenge in 2014. we sent people to the moon what...45 years ago?

  • IOS 7 - iCloud calendar push not working

Ever since upgrading to iOS 7, our iCloud calendars are no longer automatically pushing onto our iPhones (iPhone 4S and iPhone 5S).
If we make a change to our iCloud calendars on the iCloud.com website or on our OS X calendar, the calendar changes won't automatically appear on our iPhones unless we MANUALLY LAUNCH the Calendar App. Once we launch the Calendar App, the iCloud calendars update perfectly within a few seconds. But we are FORCED to manually launch the calendar app first, in order to get the calendars to update.
The "Push" setting is already turned on in our "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" Settings, so that's not the problem.
Push will work okay for about 20 minutes after we manually launch the calendar app on our iPhones, but after that, it's as if the calendar app "goes to sleep" and needs to be manually woken up.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

It has been like this even since iOS 6 (mabye earlier also).
This also happens on OS X (Mountain Lion).
What makes it work again is simply to go to Settings -> iCloud and unselect calendar.
Wait 20 secounds then select calendar again.
    Same procedure on OS X.
This makes the system reconnect to the calendar server.
For me it usually stops to work again after 1-2 days. Really annoying.
I think this is a problem on the iCloud-calenders-server side since it's both on iOS and OS X.

  • ICloud email no longer working on Window 7.8 Phone

I have been receiving my Apple emails on my Windows 7.8 Phone successfully for the last 2 years. About 3 months ago emails could no longer be sent or received and I typically get the following error codes dependant upon how I have my IMAP/SMTP settings configured; 800c2746 or 80072FA8.
Apple email is working fine from my Android tablet and also from my Windows 7 PC and I've tried replicating these settings on my phone without success. I've googled the problem and tried all the different set up options I can find but not have worked. I'm beyond frustrated now and I suspect Apple has broken something during the recent iCloud work for IOS or Yosemite as nothing has changed on any of my devices and it's only my Windows phone that no longer works.
Does ANYONE have a Windows 7 Phone (mine is a Nokia 800) that is successfully sending and receiving iCloud emails as of today, 2nd November 2014. If you do would you be kind enough to tell me what server settings you are using.
    Thanks.

We have exatcly the same problem with Samsung omnia 7 (Windows phone 7.8).
We are using the Server settings from this page: iCloud: Mail server settings for email clients - Apple Support
We have this problem since mid september and no solution.

  • Since iOS7 upgrade, icloud calendar does not sync with outlook calendar.  any suggestions?

I need help please.  I upgraded to ios7 on my ipad mini and the latest upgrade ios6.1.3 on my iphone 3GS.  Prior to this upgade my calendar entries on both synced with my office outlook program on my pc.  I print a hardcopy of the calendar from my pc which I prefer to my calprint app.  Is there any other settings I can change to get it all syncing again?  thanks

    Hi,
I tried this after suffering the same issue with my iPhone calendar not synching with my Outlook Exchange account(used for work):
Close the calendar app on your iPhone
In Settings, go to Mail, Contact, Calendars.
    Select the Exchange account.
set the Calendars toggle to off (push to the left)
    Open your calendar app
Verify that the Exchange calendar has been deleted.
    Close the calendar app
Return to Settings, go to Mail, Contact, Calendars.
Set the Calendars toggle to on (push to the right-green)
In Settings, go to Mail, Contact, Calendars, select Fetch new data
Set your Exchange account to Push
Open your calendar app.  You should see your Exchange calendar entries populate your calendar in a minute or two.
You should be able to revert your Exchange account to Fetch to save battery life afterwards.
    Cheers
