ICloud calendars syncing to Google business calendar

How do I sync multiple iCloud calendars with a google calendar?  Google (business) calendar entries come over the the iCloud side, but entries made on my Mac calendar will not show up in my Google calendar.  I have set up the Google calendar within my iCloud account.  I cannot get the sync to go both ways.

I have done that.  I can add events on my Google calendar and they will be reflected on my Apple devices, but I can't add events on my Apple devices and have them show up on the Google calendar.  I can delete things and that will be reflected, but no additions?  Why would that be?

Basically trying to get a calendar (currently on my google cal as delegated) to sync to my icloud calendar.  Then, I am hoping it auto synchs to iPad and iPhone.

Why don't you just set the Google Calendar up on the iPhone and iPad directly, instead of trying to get it to go via iCloud?

  • Iphone sync with Google holiday calendar doesn't work

I have an iphone with IOS 5.1.1 and I'm using Gmail for email, contacts, etc.
I have already synced my Google calendar with the iPhone Cal and it's working fine. I'm trying now to sync the Google holidays calendars with he iPhone, and it's not working. I've already followed the instructions at http://support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&lev=topic&cbid=1nxqge2ur9j7 1&answer=139206&src=cb
The holiday calendar appears in the list checked , but the holiday itself doesn't appear in the calendar (June 7th is holiday, and it appears in the web and in the iCal in the MAC). I've done the same procedures for my iPad and it worked... The same happens with the birthdays calendar... Any help?

  • How can I get iCloud to sync with Outlook 2011 calendars??

Recently got a new MBA11 and use an iPhone and rely heavily on Outlook. All I want to do is be able to sync my calendars and contacts across devices. When I used to be on Windows I could simply do this with Google Calendars and Google sync.
Outlook 2011 isn't or doesn't support syncing with google (not sure who's fault this is).
I thought iCloud would fix this however iCloud creates new calendars in iCal that won't sync with Outlook.
Does anyone know a work around?
Personally I would have thought this kind of thing would be simple, easy and a necessary function whether it be on google, apple or microsofts part!!

Microsoft have not made Outlook for Mac compatible with iCloud since they haven't bothered to include support for the industry standard CalDAV and CardDAV protocols iCloud uses.
    See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2648915
Apple cannot do anything to rectify this, as they don't make Microsoft Office. It is in Microsoft's hands.
It wasn't necessary to buy Office for Mac to sync with iCloud. All Macs come with all the applications required for syncing with iCloud for free.
Use Apple's Mail, Address Book and iCal.

  • How do I sync my Windows 8.1 Calendar App to Google's Calendar via Gmail?

I am setting up my calendar through my HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC.
I have my business email address setup through Gmail... which I have a Calendar App on my phone for.
How do I sync the two?
    Thank You!

    Hello,
Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.
I am afraid that you cannot use the built-in Windos 8/8.1 Calendar app with Google services:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/use-google-windows-8-rt
The MS vs Google "battle" prevents this.  A workaround Microsoft suggest is to import your Google Calendar to Outlook, which is not suitable for business email.
I suggest you install some additional application such as Google Chrome with their apps inside or Microsoft Outlook (part of MS Office), or different. If this is business/company email, I suggest you check with your local helpdesk or local company support guys.

  • ICloud not syncing with Outlook 2010 Calendar

First I should say that I had successfully setup iCloud with all my devices:  iP4, iPad2 and Win7 PC with Outlook 2010.  A few days ago I had to reinstall Outlook.  I re-installed iCloud via Control Panel and successfully downloaded the iCloud Calendar to Outlook.  All the devices sync with iCloud but Outlook does not.   Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Glad that romlee's fix worked for Donawat! This iCloud situation is just a fiasco if you work in Windows and use Outlook.
I had been having problems with accurate syncing ever since I downloaded the OS 5, which is obviously not meant for the iPhone 4. (Phone has been glitchy too but that is another story.)
Previously, I was on Outlook 2007 with Windows 7 home premium. While I could get things to work, I was having the same problem that others have: duplicate entries, incorrect entries, entries that just won't show up, etc. After lots of research (and many what I consider wasted hours) I was able to find a fix that worked for me.
First of all, I want to point out that one of the reasons it doesn't work well is because Apple created a file format for iCloud that does not create a .PST file (which is what Outlook uses). Apple should just be up front about this as they have severely damaged their reputation with Windows users who have iPhones, plus they are wasting a lot of people's time.
Second, unless you already have a me.com account, you can no longer create one.
Third, I came to realize that iCloud does not update its records. It just keeps adding the same things over and over again which I theorize causes the duplicates. Even if you merge the calendars, it just creates new calendar threads (the new colored dot entries in calendar lists).
My goal was to GET RID OF iCLOUD. If you want to keep using iCloud, what I did probably won't help you but please read it and see if an idea to solve your problem arises out of it.
Before I had yesterday's problem, I took the time and spent the money to upgrade Windows 7 to the Ultimate version, and then updated Office to 2010 from 2007.
After all the files downloaded and installed, I proceeded to try and make syncing with iCloud work. Foolishly, I thought it would work better if I had the newer software.
I ended up spending a total of six hours trying to figure out where my Outlook data went, why my calendar and contacts weren't showing in my personal files, and trying to get it back where it belonged. After more research and hours spent updating my data files, I was able to move things back to Outlook personal folders. What I ended up doing was this:
    1) In Outlook 2010, if syncing via iCloud, you will see personal folders and iCloud folders. Open the iCloud folders and look at all the Calendars (it just keeps creating them; there were 5 export to outlook calendars and I think 7 iCloud calendars). Find the calendar that is yours (the one you know is the most recent and has the info you are looking for).
    2) When you identify the correct calendar, open it using list view. (You can access that in Outlook 2010 via the View menu, then use the change view button). The list of dates will show up as a list in date order from oldest to newest. Review this entire list and delete all the duplicates or things you don't want to keep. Once this is done, you are ready to move the file.
    3) After you have your calendar file the way you want it, still in list view, hit control + a to select all, then press the copy to folder button. A window will open with all your files in it; select the calendar -personal folders file and click ok. Change your view to Calendar and you will see that all the items have moved over. WARNING: because of all the weirdness with iCloud, some of your recurrences and other dates may be missing. I found this happened with recurrences rather than appointments because the appointments are duplicated so many times but some other things may be missing.
at this point, it (the calendar) does not yet show up in outlook today. *You will change your data file in account settings later.*
    4) Go back to the iCloud folders and open the contacts. Select list, select all, and then copy to contacts-personal folder as with the calendar items. Check your contacts there and make sure the list has moved.
    5) Close outlook.
    6) Open iTunes with your phone connected via USB. Under info, switch everything you want to sync back to Outlook. Then close iTunes and unplug your USB connection.
    7) Find your iCloud icon under Control Panel. Select "sign out." It is not necessary to keep a copy unless it makes you feel more comfortable. If you have another backup system like Carbonite you should be okay. Of course, it never hurts to make a copy (but if you do, it takes awhile and it is not clear where it ends up).
    8) Open outlook again; go to account settings. Under data files, select Personal Folders as the default file. You will still see an iCloud archive on your list after you change it.
    9) after you do this, it  will take several minutes for Outlook to switch over to the Personal Folders data file. Be patient. After this is done, you will be able to use Outlook 2010 without the iCloud files showing up or interfering with the function of the software or syncing.
    10) Once Outlook has successfully switched files, close it again.
    11) On your iPhone, go to settings and select the iCloud menu. Turn off iCloud sync on each item you have been syncing. When it asks if you want to keep all the items that iCloud has placed there, select DELETE.
This is an act of bravery; I had no idea what would happen when I did it. However, it worked out fine because it wiped my calendar and contacts clean on the iPhone. No more duplicates. A bit scary because no more ANYTHING but when I synced the phone again, it all came back -- and no dupes.
    12) after you turn off iCloud on your phone, plug your iPhone into the USB port, turn on iTunes. After iTunes recognizes your phone, it will sync again. All your contacts and calendar items will be transferred back to your iPhone (and no duplicates!)
I am very pleased that I was able to figure this out, but disgusted at Apple's irresponsibility with claiming iCloud works with everything. It obviously doesn't and I wasted a lot of time and lost some data due to the iCloud.
In summary: This is what I did to get rid of iCloud. If you want to keep it, I don't know how helpful this will be.
Reminder: I did this in a Windows 7 Ultimate environment with Outlook 2010. I also have iTunes 10.5.2 (most recent version). Note: In Outlook 2007, 10.5.2 causes a glitch that claims iTunes can't find Outlook even if it is there.
You can repair the glitch in 2007 by closing all your programs, go to the control panel, then open the Programs menu. Find your Office 2007 program and right click. It gives you the option to repair or uninstall. Select REPAIR and then the windows installer will run. Follow the prompts and then restart. You will be able to see Outlook again from iTunes.
Hopefully, this will help others not waste time trying to make their technology function smoothly!
Thanks to the Apple community for the answers I've received.

  • Why does Calendar sync with Google on a new user, but not my original one?

I have a late 2012 Macbook Pro that came running Mountain Lion out of the box. I have used Mail and Messages with my various Google accounts since I purchased it, but never Calendar. When I checked the Calendar option all I got was the header for where the calendars should be.
I cannot see any calendars on that account, create/view/edit events, or anything. My sync settings on the Google side are just fine as it works on other devices. Last night I took it a step further and created a new user account on my laptop and first thing I did was connect my Google account. Everything worked.
I have tried deleting the Calendar cache files, preferences, accounts, and pretty much anything short of the app itself. I even went ahead and cleared out my Keychain of anything relating to that account or Google in general. As a last ditch effort, I did a full clean up and reset of the SyncServices system.
Short of painstakingly comparing the two accounts I have no idea what could be causing this problem. There are no user specific applications or extensions running on my machine, and I've performed no "under the hood" tweaks to Mountain Lion.
Does anyone have any idea where I should be looking for a cause? I haven't found anything like this problem online yet, and I definitely don't want to migrate my stuff to a new account.
    Key points:
Google Calendars do not sync at all to my primary user account.
    I've tried multiple Google accounts.
Only a new user account in Mountain Lion is able to connect.
All SyncServices files and all Calendar files have been wiped and recreated to no effect.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).

  • ICloud not syncing with my outlook calendar?

I have a 3GS iPhone and ipdad2 both have been upgraded to the new IOS software. The calendars were automatically syncing yesterday with my outlook calendar but today when I add a new calendar item to either my ipad2 or 3GS iPhone it  will not show up on my outlook calendar.  My iPhone and iPad calendars are automatically syncing but not my Outlook calendar, I checked my settings on both devices and the iCloud is on. Any advice?

Yo can initially install and synce Outlook 2007 with iCloud.  Be careful.  Everything in the Contacts group will move sync up as contacts.  You can use Groups in outlook before syncing for the first time. iCloud does recognize groups.  Download the iCloud for Outlook(PC) app here.  http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455.  It installs a ew toolbar that says Refreash iCloud.  I have not been sucessful at getting the app to re-sync my outlook with iCloud. In either direction.  iCloud to my Apple devices works great.  But I sure would like to keep Outlook in sync also.  I have been searching for a way to re-initiate the action that takes place when you first install the app.  I have not found a way yet to force a re-syn of Outlook to the iCloud.

  • How can I get Outlook for Mac Calendar synced to Google Calendar?

The Mac calendar produces a view of the Outlook calendar and good syncing. But I cannot find a way of syncing this view with Google calendar. I can get a separate view in Mac Callendar of mt Google calendar adn again good syncing. But I cannot get the Outlook view on Mac calendar across to the google view. What am I missing here?

Dear Klaus, Many thanks for your response. However as far as I can see the Outlook in this thread is always on a Windows PC. My Outlook is on the Mac.
I can sync to Mac Calendar V6 with Outlook 2011 for Mac and with Google calendar. But the Google sync and the Outlook sync are in diferent accounts although both visible on the Mac Calendar at the same time. However I cannot find a way of using the Mac Calendar to bidge across from the "On my Mac" account (which is synced with the Outlook for Mac) to the Google account.
    Kind regards, P.

  • On trying to set up iCloud to sync with my outlook calendar I got this error msg 'No Outlook Email-Add an email account to Outlook before setting up iCloud'.

My hotmail email is the only email set up (via the connector) in Outlook. Can iCloud work with a hotmail address or do I need another one and if so do I just add another account/email the normal easy way and it will all work or is there something else I have to do?????

Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

  • Ical not syncing to google calendar

Hi everyone. I can't seem to find a solution to my iCal and Google calendar problem. Here is my information:
    MacBook Pro - version 10.6.8
    iCal - 4.04
I have all of my Google calendars set up in iCal. When I enter any events from within Google Calendar on the web, it then syncs flawlessly to my iCal...delegates included.
However, when I make a change in iCal itself on my computer, I get this error: The calendar https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/user//www.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/user was not found on the server. Make sure the URL is correct.
I removed the / that gets inserted at the end of the above address like some have suggested but iCal keeps putting it back in there. I am also noticing that I don't have this problem when I enter events from iCal on my iPhone or iPad. It only happens on my MacBook Pro.
    Please help!!!!!!!

According to Google: "Setting up iCloud sync has caused events to be wiped from Google Calendar for some of our users who were syncing information between iCal and Google Calendar. In response, we've stopped deleting the information until this issue is fixed. Until further notice, deleting any event in iCal will not remove this event from Google Calendar (for iCal 4 users, all changes made after a delete attempt will not be saved in Google Calendar). We've contacted Apple and we are actively working on this. We're also attempting to restore the deleted events. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we'll keep you posted. As a workaround, we suggest you remove event in the Web version of Google Calendar (calendar.google.com). This change would be properly synced with your iCal."

  • How sync iPhone Calendar back to Google calendar?

    (1) Events I add to the iPhone Calendar app or the Mac OS X Calendar app do not get synced to the Google calender I view at https://www.google.com/calendar. However:
    (2) Events do sync back and forth between my iPhone Calendar app and the Mac OS X Calendar app -- via iCloud: if I add or delete an event on one, it adds or deletes on the other.
    (2) Events added to Google calendar at https://www.google.com/calendar opened in Safari do get synced to my iPhone Calendar app and to my Mac's own Calendar app.
    How do I fix (1)?
    Settings:
    On Mac, iCloud Preferences:
    Calendars & Reminders is checked.
On Mac, Calendar Preferences > Accounts:
iCloud account is enabled with Push, and
GMail account enabled with Refresh Calendars set Every 5 minutes.
On iPhone, Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Accounts:
    iCloud account has Calendars set On;
GMail account has Calendars set On.
What else is there to do? or to change?

What calendar is the default calendar on your iPhone,
    Forget it, let's simplify.
Use your Mac only, open Safari and go to your Gmail calendar on the website, then open the calendar app on the Mac so you may see what happens.
    1. Put a test event on the calendar on the Gmail website, it should appear in Calendar on the Mac within a few minutes, post back when it does, or if it does not.
I'm going to want to see screenshots of settings from now on, if you don't know how to take and post them please ask.
An event put on my Gmail calendar at the Google web site already does get synced to my iPhone Apple Calendar app. That was never the problem.
And that was not the question, I am trying to establish what is what, it's a process, you still have not told me what are the default settings, If you wish to continue doing it your way feel free to, this is not easy when you do not answer my questions or perform the steps I need to establish what is going on.
Sorry, I misunderstood what you were trying to do now. (I DO understand troubleshooting, especially as I am a beta-tester for various programs and have been over the years.)
I just added an event on the Gmail calendar at www.google.com/calendar, and it synced almost immediately to my Mac's Calendar app:
Here are some settings on the Mac:
(The redacted 3rd mail account is one that does not have any such thing as calendars -- just purely an email account.)
