ICloud can't sign in on Domain desktop with Folder Redirection

I've been struggling with this issue since the day that the version of iCloud came out for Windows; I just upgraded to iCloud 4.0 and no improvement.
I am trying to use iCloud on my Windows 7 Professional 64bit domain joined desktop.  Unfortunately the control panel login screen pinwheel keeps spinning and never succeeds.   Months of researching on the Internet suggests that the cause is the GPO settings for folder redirection (see below), specifically Application Data (see below); i have confirmed it.  I have tried a new account on the same computer that does not have this policy applied and was successful logging in.
Does anyone know of a workaround for this?  I can't seem to get Apple's attention.

I am having a simlar problem with my iphone6. It refuses to recognise skype name or password. I can log in fine on my desktop but not on my phone. I have tired several password changes and still it will not work on my iphone6. Any ideas?

  • Files won't delete from desktop with folder redirection

I have folder direction set up with a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard x64 Primary Domain Controller and a 2012R2Stdx64 File and Print Server that is the backup domain controller. 1 single user out of 20 can't delete files from his desktop.
Folder redirection is configured via GPO and offline files are enabled.
When you go to delete a file it says "Item Not Found" "This is no longer located in \\HSI-FPS01\Users\My Documents\Desktop Verify the item's location and try again."
However, the item still persists in showing, both in the server folder and the desktop however you can't open it.
There are no sync errors, I've done re-syncs. I've also rebooted, refreshed the desktop, etc.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your post.
Only one user have this issue?
I suggest you create a new user account to test folder redirection.
Please refer to this artcile about folder redirection:

  • Can't sign into apple support communities with icloud apple id

i realise this isn't the right community for this question, but apple don't have a support category called "apple support".
i have that problem where I have an appleid called "frumbert", which I got about 10 years ago. it is and always has been tied to my gmail email address. i used this for about 5 years worth of itunes purchases, then forgot it for a couple of years.
when I got an ipad I also got an icloud account, and stupidly signed up using my gmail email address as my icloud username. it's tied to the same gmail email address as my existing "frumbert" account. i've since made all my itunes and app purchases using my icloud appleid, and it's the one associated with my mac warranties and such.
so two appleid's share the same email address.
i can't sign into apple support commuities with it because I need a new username. i can't create a new username because the email address is tied to an account already (this one, the old one, "frumbert"). An account utilizing this email address already exists. Only one account per email address is allowed on Apple Support Communities. Apple's way of saying you're c-ockblocked!
but I can't also change the "frumbert" account because there's another account with the same email address, my icloud one.
fark! how does one get out of this mess?

I'm having the exact same problem and so are a lot of other people. Apple's solution - shut up and create a new account just for the support community.
    Smells outsourced to me!

  • Can you control Lion on your desktop with an iPhone?

Can you control Lion on your desktop with an iPhone?  I do not want to buy a wireless trackpad.  Who needs all those batteries?  Hoepfully the iPhone can control it in the meantime, and then they need to make wired trackpads.

  • Can't sign in on external monitor with MBP after Yosemite upgrade

After Yosemite upgrade, when I turn on my MBP, I can't sign in using external monitor with MBP, always could before Yosemite.  Blurred image of my wallpaper shows on monitor, can move arrow on external screen but sign-in only shows up on my computer screen, with no arrow.  Since there is no arrow on the computer screen, and no sign in box on the external monitor, I have to unplug the external video to sign in on the computer, then plug in the monitor again.  Any ideas?

    NOWEK,
Thanks for this suggestion, but so far no joy. I have zapped the PRAM, jammed the Frabitz and smashed the Gafrogsnicker, all to no avail. When the MBP restarts I get a blurred image (extreme "vibrancy") on the external monitor, but no images of the login accounts to choose from or the other options. However, on the MBP screen I get all that. The keyboard and mouse respond, but just doesn't display on the external monitor. This is of interest to me because I have the MBP down in a credenza with other related gear and the external monitor and keyboard up on my desk. It's true I don't have to do this often, but still, it just started this aggravation with Yosemite. Thanks for trying to help.

  • ICloud - can't sign in at this time

I have iCloud working via my Safari browser and my iPhone. But when I try and log-in to iCloud via my iMac's system preference I continually receive the following message, "you can't sign in at this time. try signing in again." It has been manifesting the same behavior for over 1 week. Any ideas? Stumped the Genius Bar. Really could use your help! Thanks.

Okay, here's what worked for me after upgrading to Mavericks (it should work for you, too):
    (1) Deleted all the files in:
    User(your name)/Library/Application Support/iCloud/Accounts/
    (2) Shut down the computer, waited 15-20 seconds and turned it back on.
    (3) Then I went to
    System Preferences
    iCloud icon
    (4) Input the requested information and followed the directions to be back in business.
But, first you must be able to see the folder because it is hidden:
Use Finder and click on Utilities then Terminal
Type in (very carefully) the following exactly:
    Chflaga nohidden ~/Library
    Then
    Finder
    Go
    Computer
    User account name/Library/Application Support/iCloud/Accounts
Remember, the files are under your user account and not the harddrive.

When I go to Setting >> ICloud  in my iPhone and iPad. I can't sign in because They asked about other apple ID. And I can't to delete it because I don't know what's  the password for other accounts!!!?

Then, you should be able to remove it once you've changed the password.   You can then add new account.

  • ICloud can not sign in

I did not know, when you set a password in icloud, if you set the password using some Thai, change of password can be, but that it is no longer available at the time of login. Even more unfortunate, I did not know that the recovery key has been lost.
Now, iCloud can not login. itune, e-mail, memo, also find-iphone other, I had become unusable. Since I can not use my AppleID, it is no longer hear all my purchased songs that had been uploaded to the itune-match.
Registration of new AppleID also, find-iphone is in the way, no longer able to reset and registration.
I am really in trouble. Please tell me how can I.

    Hi everyone,
I have a similar problem, when I try to sign in to icloud, it stops working and I receive an error message, it says ''İcloud has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available'' Unfortunately windows did not manage to find a solution so far.
I migrated from mobile me a month ago, up until then, everything was ok, even after the migration for a while.
But all of a sudden this error message started to show up. I uninstalled mobile me, uninstalled icloud, reinstalled icloud, did the same for itunes but nothing worked so far. Using windows 7.
