ICloud cannot verify account

My Apple ID is correct but iCloud cannot verify account.  Somehow I have two Apple IDs.  I did reset my password on my primary Apple ID and confirmed the new password from the email instructions.  The primary ID is the one I'm using but iCloud still cannot verify.

Has anyone answered this question for you?

    If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't work, try these steps:
    1. Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
    2. Tap Settings > iCloud and try to sign out.
    3. Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
    4. Tap Settings > iCloud and sign in with the new Apple ID.

    It is possible that some of the server options have changed recently. I would recommend using this to get the settings from the email provider directly and use that information to setup the account.

    Tried to create apple id for  apple store on Iphone 5s.  I entered the wrong email address for my user id, and I cannot verify account and cannot create a new account because my phone continues to show wrong user id and requests password.

  • Apple ID / iCloud - Cannot verify email address , maybe used in a different account?

    Hi all!
    Until last week I was having a Family Account on MobileMe.
    Now that I have transferred all sub accounts to iCloud I moved the main account, too.
    All sub accounts are working fine and the can use all services like Find my Friends.
    Now after having moved the main account all worked fine for that account except one service.
    When trying to use the Find my friends I get a message
    "Cannot connect to Find my Friends - Verify your Apple ID at https://appleid.apple.com to use Find my Friends"
    When opening that URL on my mac and going to "Manage your account" and then clicikng on "Verify now"
    "A verification email has been sent"
    Doing the same from the dialogue on my iPhone I get "Email address is already verified for another Apple ID"
    Having worked though a lot of discussions here I think the issue is with an old apple id that I might forgot about having my new one as an alternative address verified.
    The problem is now that I don't have access to this old account , so I cannot remove it.
    I should mention that I did not get a single mail for verification send to that address , even though having asked for it on my mac now several times.
    What I tried so far
    - Connected to all apple id accounts I have access to and assured that the eMail is not used and verifed there.
    - Tried the "Verify now" several times
    - Supplied a different alternative address to that account and succesfully veriefied it. Still I cannot verify the primary one and cannot use Find my Friends
    - Updated the password to meet new complexity rules, it does now include lower,capital letters, numbers and is at least a characters long
    That leaves me know with two questions:
    1 - How can it be, that opening the same page and doing the same thing, results in two different messages on my Mac and my iPhone?
    2 - How can I arrange, that from this old account the alternative address is removed so that I can verify it agains the new one?
    Many thanks in advance for any ideas!
    Note: This account is my main private eMail so dumping it and creatign a new iCloud account is not an option.

    I had a similar problem. I had to call Apple support via phone and ask what apple ids my email was associated with. He was able to give me the email server it was associated with (ex: yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc) and that sparked off the memory I needed to recall that ancient and unused apple id. Then I had to recover the password, log in to that old id and change the primary email address.
    As for no verification email sent, there is a major lag between changing your settings and them actually changing in Apple's system. I don't know why this is. I couldn't delete a secondary email no matter what I tried. Then 4 hours later, it finally let me do it.

    My daughter created a wrong email address on my wife's ipad mini. We cannot verify the account since the email doesn't exist. She has an iphone and icloud account, but we cannot reset the ipad mini and create the right email account. When we click on the settings>iCloud the right side is greyed out because the account is tryting to verify. If we turn off wi-fi the account and try to delete a password if required but there is no password. Steps to correct this please.

    See if you can erase the device and start all over again using recovery mode.

    they say they have sent another verification email to my inbox but it's not there.  I have checked a million times and asked them to send another verification email which they say they have but it is not there.  help please!

    I have the same problem.  Tried verifying from link but nothing happens.  At one point got message that I needed to fill out a form to support.  Did this. Don't know how long to wait for reply.  Most times most sites send confirmation of receipt. But nothing in more than 10 minutes.
    The last thing I wanted to do was to create a new account. There are too many ways things can become confused.  Was forced to when bought my iPhone 4S.  Result to this point is learning there is another way changing account names is the wrong thing to do.
    By the way, I have read in several places that iCloud is STILL in beta. Can't believe that Apple would release a beta product.
    I know some in this thread have found success.  If you discovered a "trick", please share it.

  • ICloud: cannot change account profile

    Hi,
    I recently changed my icloud account/mailaddress id on Itunes. Now when I want to login on ICloud, it tells me the login is wrong but I don't have the option to change it.
    I added the old mailaddress I used via id.apple.com and verified/confirmed it via mail but still no luck logging in with old id. If I try to delete the account it asks for my password (with old id) and again it says the password is not ok. So I cannot change my appleid for icloud, I cannot delete it.
    Also via Itunes no way to change. Please advise.

    I cannot get my icloud to verify

    To verify the account, click the Verify Now link in the email that Apple sent to you.  Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Also make sure you check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

    When resetting your password, did you turn on two-step authentication? If you did, the Mail App isn't compatible with it - either, you need to create an application password and use that to log in using the iPhone Mail App, (instead of your Microsoft Account password) or disable two-step authentication to make it work.

    It seems that the account verification process is broken (apple ID)? I have successfully created a new account, added a gift card. The last part
    includes the "verification email" being sent to me by email. It did arrive (10 times by now) - when I press the verify I am prompted for logon. I do this and get the message: This Apple ID has been locked for security reasons. Visit iForgot to reset your account (https://iforgot.apple.com).
    So I visit the iforgot page. Change my password but there is no way to "resume" the verification process. When I return to the process and enter the current password again at: https://id.apple.com/IDMSEmailVetting/authenticate.html I get the same error (Apple ID has been locked...)..
    This is taking place as a most unfortunate moment. I would appreciate a quick resolve.

    Since resetting the password you've logged back into the account on http://appleid.apple.com and re-requested the verification email, and used that new verify email to try and verify the account ?
