Icloud contacts wont load on iphone

Today i went to use an important number i had kept in notes on my phone... and it was gone.
I thought i'd accidently deleted it. - fair enough I thought.
I then realised that all my contacts were missing from my phone also.
I have signed in and out of icloud on the phone, turned on and off the features individually and at the very most I see a flash of my own contact before it all goes white and empty again.
I have checked both on icloud.com and on my adhoc mac mini server and my details, contacts etc still exist.
Anyone else having an issue like this? I Icloud having another fit?

contacts have came back... how weird.
resolved I guess.

    Hey Willi elm,
Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you are not seeing your iCloud contacts. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

  • My gamecenter account wont load inmy iphone 5 but works well with my ipad

If the message is "Backup not successful":  I had the same problem.
My solution was to turn off some apps (Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, tap my device name in the Backups section, then look under Backup options) and try a manual backup.  If it didn't work, turn off a few more apps and try a backup.  Keep doing that until the backup works.  Then try adding in some of the last batch of apps that were previously turned off - the objective is to find the app that causes the backup to fail.  For me, I suspect that the one app I found had a bad data file that, when included in the backup, caused the backup to quit.
This can be a long process if you have a lot of apps that you originally turned on for backups.

  • ICloud contact cannot load, help!

    Hi,
I logged into my iCloud account from my iphone/ipad, it loads 500+ contacts, if I delete or add any contacts, I was SUPPOSED to synce with iCloud contacts and delete or add contacts.  However, when I turn off contact sync and turn it back on again, the contacts loaded as if nothing was changed.
What's even more odd is when I log into iCloud.com, and click Contacts, it shows "Can't load contacts" (tried on Safari and all kinds of broswers, both OSX and Windows still the same).
This problem has been like this since my iPhone 4 til now my iPhone 5, I really want to sync my contact via iCloud.  Anyone know how I can fix this problem?   I have the contacts backedup, can I reset the contact?
    Anyone can help?  Really appreciated!

  • Copy new iCloud contact to my local iPhone 4 contacts

How can I get a new iCloud contact to my local contacts on my iPhone 4 to be independent from iCloud?

Well you have Windows, do you have Outlook?
Your can export them and import them into Outlook.
Different email providers save the contacts in different formats.
    Best of Luck

  • Icloud numbers wont load and keeps logging me out of icloud

I'm trying to load up the numbers app on www.icloud.com using a laptop. I can get login to my account but as soon as I try and load the app, it crashes, logs me out and takes me back to the main screen to log back in again. I've tried to load other apps and nothing else seems to have this problem, occasionally it wont log on to the icloud website and kicks me straight back out but if I try straight away to login then it works and gets me to the home screen.
This is on a Toshiba laptop running Windows 7.

    1. try to sign in once on iTunes
    2. try to get a new password for your apple id
    3. try to restore your iPhone using iTunes

  • How am I supposed to use my created iCloud contact group on my iPhone?

I followed the instructions & 'help notes' on creating a contact group by logging into my iCloud account.  Now on my iPhone I can see the group when I go to Contacts & click on the upper left hand "Groups" button, but that screen only lists which list of contacts I've got synced with my iCloud.  Unless I'm missing something, I do not see how I'm supposed to actually use/implement my new "group."  I was hoping to be able to create a new text & type in the name of my group & send, or have an option to choose from a group list to use as my recipients, but instead nothing.
Am I completely missing the point of grouping contacts on the iPhone???

About all you can do is when addressing the email, tap the "+", navigate to your groups, uncheck all groups but the group you want to send the email to and tap Done, then tap each member one at a time to add them to the list of recipients.
Otherwise you can use an app that will allow you to select an entire group at onece (such as Speed Names).

  • ICloud contacts were reformatted on iPhone - ideas?

Once my contacts synced with iCloud, they changed from (xxx) xxx-xxxx to xxxxxxxxxx. So, the phone tries to do an international dial and I am unable to click and call anyone. Also, when someone calls, it does not recognize them since it can't match the formats up.
Any ideas on possible soultions would be greatly appreciated.

Same happened to me. A number that was +358500123456 is now +1 58500123456. Luckily noticed before all numbers on my iphone were changed and dropped the syncing of contacts. Did have me a bit confused at first when trying to phone a friend and some foreign voice told me that the number was not in use
This also happens if you create a new contact in icloud. the number is automatically reformatted to something that does not work. How stupid is that. Don't have any advice to you but to stop syncing and fix them by hand.

  • Contacts wont sync from iphone to imac

    iPhone 4/os5 , imac/OS10.6.8, itunes10.5.1
I am not using mobile me, but prefer to sync manually over the hard wire. Calendars, music and mail are fine. (Mail is over 3G) Data and contacts added on phone do not appear on iMac/main computer. This has not always been aproblem, but has been for past 6- 12 months. I am not really willing to wipe out all contacts on eithe computer, as I update both ways-- I just want the most recent changes to win, no matter where they were added. Isn't this the point of synced devices?
iMac is the 'mother' computer in a house full of networked devices, but won't take new information in from contacts. I know this issue has been bouncing around, but haven't seen aclear answer to my version of it. any tips ?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
