We are running and exchange server XP Pro and Outlook 2003 is all I have at work.  I don't have access to Vista or Windows 7 nor outlook 2007 or 2010.  All want to do is transfer my yahoo calendars to icloud calendars.  From the searches I did I found I had to download the icloud control panel which I can't do becuase of hte software I am forced to run for work.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way (besides opening each yahoo event and switching it on the iphone to an icloud calendar) to transfer my yahoo calendar to an icloud calendar??

There is not, Vista or Lion are the minimum requirements, use Yahoo's sync services instead.

  • Bookmarks options button in icloud control panel not showing

    Hello,
i installed icloud control panel version 3.1 for windows 8 and can't sync bookmarks with chrome. I installed the chrome extension, restarted, but keep the same only internet explorer shows and it can't be changed.
    Thanks for your help.

There may be an electrical connection issue inside the printer, but it may also simply need a power reset.  I would advise trying to perform a Hard Reset on the printer.
    * Unplug unit while powered on
    * Unplug other end of power cord from the direct wall outlet
    * Wait 30 seconds
    * Plug unit back in for power
As well, there is a document with steps to troubleshoot when a printer has a blank display.  The document is located here.  Hope this helps.

  • ICloud control panel not syncing with outlook 2013

I have installed iCloud on windows 7 64-bit. after installation it asked if I want to sync with outlook my mail , contacts etc. so I selected the option to sync and clicked apply.
The program said that it needs to setup mail, contacts etc with outlook 2013 and the loading gif started to work , then I click on close .
when I open outlook 2013 i do not see my icloud folder or contacts .
    am I missing something here?
PS. I tried to uninstall and re install icloud control panel with the same effect.
    Kindly can anyone help

In Outlook 2013, I navigated to "People" and copied the contacts that I wanted to sync from the "Contacts" folder to the "Search Results" folder (<ctrl>+[drag and drop] to folder in left hand Folder pane).
iTunes then synchronised those contacts (only) fine.

  • Has anyone installed Jan 22 iCloud Control Panel 2.1.3 for Vista?

I'm wondering if anyone has installed this http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1687 (post date on the link is Jan 22, 2014)? If so, did you do it independent of any other Apple updates (like iTunes), and did everything work OK?
I'm wanting to install it (in the hope that I will get bookmark sync working again between my Vista and iOS devices), but am reluctant to do so after the iTunes debacle earlier this week. As far as I can see, the iTunes update still isn't working right (I used System Restore to back out of it and am waiting to see when the coast is clear before trying again. (Yes, I did see links about manually deleting files and all that, but prefer to wait for update to be fixed)

    OK - reporting back.
I installed with no problems and was able to open iCloud on my PC and check calendar, notes, reminders. Haven't yet checked bookmark syncing, will get to that when I can.
(I have Vista, IE9; have backed out latest iTunes update before installing this version of iCloud Control Panel)

  • ICloud Control Panel not staying resident

I have installed iCloud Control Panel on 3 different PCs, each running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. I got everything working, while my wife was at work, and I wanted to show her how she could snap a picture and it would show up on her PC. I had set it up for her phone on her computer and my phone for both my laptop and desktop. I initially tried using her phone (iPhone 3GS), which has been having peculiar problems (which is an entirely different issue). I took a picture with her phone and after several minutes of nothing, I decided to show her on my phone and computer, since I KNEW that was working. I took a picture with my phone (iPhone 4). Again, nothing popped up on my computer. I finally realized that the iCloud Control Panel was no longer working on my desktop. I then went to my wife's computer and it was no longer working on her desktop. The laptop still had the control panel interface open (as opposed to only showing up in the taskbar at the bottom right of screen.)
Has anyone else experienced iCloud shutting itself down?

  • Lack of options in iCloud control panel compared to MobileMe Control panel, so now what happens if there is a conflict of data (Cloud vs  Computer)?

Back then when we were syncing with MobileME, the control panel allows us to decide what to do when there is a conflit of data in the cloud vs the information on our computer.  We were given the option of Replacing information in Me with information on the computer or vice versa, but now we do not have any of these options.  And currently when i sync my computer with icloud, i dont know if the information (Contacts, Bookmarks) will be replaced with the current informaiton on the iCloud (transfered from MobileMe) or they will merge (if they merge then i would have double of contacts, bookmarks??) or the information in the iCloud would be replaced?
If we had more options in the control panel of iCloud, then things can be simplier.  However, with the current iCloud control panel, we have no way of knowing what happens when there is a conflict and we won't know what action the iCloud would take for the conflict of information.
So currently i still dont know if my Favourites (Bookmarks) will be replaced or not.
Does anyone know if we can wipe out the info on iCloud and replace it with the data (Contacts, bookmark, calendars etc) on our computer?

This is what I did...not ideal but seems to work for right now till iCloud actually syncs contacts into Outlook 2010 (PC/Win 7) like Mobile Me used to.  I opened the contacts in the iCloud contact address boxes in Outlook.  I selected all contacts by selecting one and then Ctrl-A (selects all), then Ctrl-C (copies all).  Then I went into the Outlook Contact folder which is blank from iCloud "stealing" all my contacts and in that empty box I hit Ctrl-V to past all contacts in.  I am now able to use my contacts when emailing in Outlook.
Of course, any changes I make to my iPhone contact list or via iCloud will only sync back to the iCloud contacts lists in Outlook (and not Outlook's main calendar) so occassionally I'm thinking I'll need to go back and do this all again either figuring out a way to only copy new contacts over, or going into Outlook Contacts and deleting all of those, going back to Outlook iCloud contacts (which are syncing but not communicating with other aspects of Outlook like mail) and then do the process all over (select all, copy, paste).
Seems silly that contacts can't work the same as they did with Mobile Me but it seems like Apple has a tendancy with everything but their actual iDevices to be screwy when things are working and make things more complicated.  I was not looking towards this day as I knew there would be some stupid issue as it seems like it always is that way with their new software rollouts.  In fact, I use Outlook 2010 through Parrells still cause their Mac version still won't sync even calendars...at least iCloud is still doing that with Outlook 2010 Windows...though still the same issue as Mobile Me that it doesn't sync with the main calendar...but I can still use it and sync well to the iPhone.

  • Problems: iCloud Control Panel 2.1.1 not allowing sync of contacts, calendar, remainders and notes

I just installed Outlook 2013 today. Initally it was showing contacts calendars from my iCloud. Then i got a message that I could not have two outlooks on the computer and I needed to remove one of them. I did take off outlook 2007. Now the control panel does not give me an option to sync with outlook at all. It just tells me that mail contacts calendars reminders and notes are avilable at icloud.com.
I hope to be able to get control panel and outlook to talk nicely again soon.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar issue. I installed Office 2013 yesterday. iCloud 2.1.1.3 I thought was working - I could see the Add-On in Outlook and my contacts were showing correctly under people but it showed in the iCloud control panel that my email for icloud was not connected. I tried removing my iCloud account from Outlook with the intent to reconnect it via the iCloud Control Panel. Bad idea apparently--anytime I try loading the iCloud Control Panel it crashes office. I have reintalled the control panel, tried the office repair, tried enabling / disabling the add-ons, tired a seperate test Outlook profile--nothing works- I am no longer able to integrate the icloud features into Outlook.
    I am using Win 7 x64 SP1 with Office 2013 x32. iCloud Control Panel 2.1.1.3
Update: I tried rolling back to a restore point from yesterday to at least get my contacts functioning again. No Luck- the accounts are there again but they are not connected and can't be opened. iCloud Control Panel still crashes Office/Outlook as seen above anytime I try to open it

  • Do Photos delete from PC in Photo Stream when iCloud Control Panel is deleted

I loaded photos to a PC using the Icloud control panel accidentally.  I remember seeing them on the computer, but when I deleted the iCloud control panel (app), they appear to be gone from the computer.  Do photos delete when photo stream is not connected or iCloud control panel is removed?
Also...what extension (jpg, jpeg, tiff, etc.) are iphotos usually in so I could search better.

    Hello desert_dweller5,
It sounds like you art trying to access a Shared Photo Stream, but you do not have one of the devices to enable your Apple ID as an iCloud account.  The following article provides information on how Shared Photo Streams work:
    iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486
The article states that for privately Shared Photo Streams to work, the recipient will not only have to have an Apple ID, but it will have to be an iCloud account:
Friends and family with iCloud accounts can view your photos in the Photos app on any device using iOS 6 or later; on a Mac in iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later; on a Windows PC with Windows Vista or later and iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later installed; or on a second generation or later Apple TV with software version 5.1 or later installed. They can also view your photos on the web if you enable Public Website in the settings or options for your Shared Photo Stream.
Since you do not have an iCloud account and just and Apple ID, your friend can share the photo stream as a public website so that you can view it, as stated in the same article:
Can I share with people who don't have an iCloud account?
Yes. If you enable Public Website in the settings or options for your shared photo stream your photos will be published to a website that anyone can view in an up-to-date web browser.
To be able to change an Apple ID to an iCloud account, you would need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later or a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.4 or later as stated in the following article:

  • ICloud Control Panel

    Hi,
So I have used the MobileMe and iCloud control panels on a number of windows machines in my life and have previously been very happy with the service syncing all my bookmarks. However 3 months ago I change jobs and so have a new PC. Its a 64-bit HP Z400 Workstation running Windows 7 Professional. I am told it never had a copy of iCloud control panel on it before I started.
I successfully downloaded and ran the installer (I have admin privileges, but must always confirm actions via the Windows User Access Control pop-ups), which completes and asked to restart the computer. Once restarted the iCloud login dialog box/window appears. My iCloud account was created way back when it was MobileMe, so I have "@mac.com", "@me.com" and "@icloud.com" versions of my long in email address but they all work online and one my iPad/iPhone/Macbook Pro so I don't believe it matters, but for the record I have tried all of them.
If I enter the email address or password incorrectly I get an error so there is some kind of connection and identity check going on as otherwise it wouldn't be able to tell either of them were wrong. When the email address and password are entered correctly, and the "Sign In" button is pressed, the spinning loading progress fan/wheel appears by the button, but after that nothing happens. I have left it this like this for hours but still nothing.
I have done some investigation but have no idea what it means. I have tried running the iCloud Setup Installer as the Administrator but there is no difference. An interesting observation is that you can expand the standard installer package using Winrar and there are 2 msi files inside iCloud and iCloud64, however if you then run iCloud64 it installs as normal but when you look in task manager, the version of the iCloud.exe process that is running when you try to log in is 32-bit.
I have added all the executable components of iCloud listed in this post (iCloud: Making sure that iCloud works with security software in Windows) as "allow connection" rules to my Windows Firewall settings, but this didn't make any difference either. However I'm convinced it will be a permissions issue. Something, either a background executable or service, isn't installed properly or doesn't have the right access rights to do what it needs to do to allow the control panel to connect properly. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a consequence of Apple dropping Safari for Windows this year, as its just too much of a coincidence.
Reading all the other listings on this support community it sounds as if Apple don't really care about this issue which seems to be effecting a lot of PC users and just hide behind the "its obviously a problem with our PC" as to why their software doesn't work properly, while our IT support (and Microsoft, and HP) belittle the need to sync bookmarks and say "its obviously a problem with the installer". I'd be interested to know if it was a Mac running Windows 7, whether they would be more or less helpful.
So, anyone got any ideas? i have seen lots of posts from people with miracle cures linked to random programs that they uninstalled, but they don't help me as this is a work machine and apart from Adobe CS5, Mircosoft Office, and Google Chrome there isn't anything else on it to cause conflicts.

Windows XP is not supported with iCloud.
From Creating an iCloud account: Frequently Asked Questions
You’ll need at least iOS 5 or later, OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later, or Microsoft Windows 7 or Vista (SP2) or later to use iCloud.   (emphasis mine)
