Icloud dialogue box constantly pops up on mac air, mavericks

This set of images is popping up every time I use my mac air.  this is a new devolpment. i am using my mac air in conjunction with ipads and an ipad mini and i do sync some things between them. i haven't made any recent changes to photos though and that is what this pertains to.  I do use photo stream on iphoto on my mac air and between an ipad 2 and an ipad mini 1. I need to turn this off.  Please help.     carol

Sometimes turning iCloud off and then on will reset things and cause them to work normally.
Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

In Dreamweaver, go to Edit>Preferences & make sure that the checkbox for "Show dialog when inserting objects" is checked.

    Hi IG viper,
Placing your iPod into recovery mode should allow you to successfully restore the device.
You might see these error messages if any of these are true:
Your device has a beta version of iOS.
You're trying to install an earlier version of iOS (downgrading).
Your device has unauthorized modifications to iOS, also called "jailbreaking."
Use recovery mode to restore your device to the latest version of iOS.
Resolve iOS update and restore errors

I cannot see primary iCloud account templates or documents on my  Mac Air and/or iPad devices

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
What do you mean by primary iCloud templates and documents.
Additionally, is your profile correct, because OS X 10.6.8 cannot use iCloud.

  • How do I stop a weird dialogue box from popping up whenever there is a youtube video embedded on a page?

Since upgrading to 10.10.3, I keep getting a dialogue box that asks me to choose an application or search the app store for some purportedly missing app to open whatever video is embedded on that page.  I can just click "cancel" to skip through it, but it really slows me down and is annoyingly unnecessary since videos continue to play in a normal fashion when I click on them.  I've tried uninstalling and trashing the components of Flash, but the dialogue boxes continue.  And I've also tried downloading and installing the latest version of Flash to see if that was the problem, but no success.  Anybody else experiencing this?  Clearly this was introduced by the latest OS X software upgrade, because this did not occur before that.

I don't understand why I (not a power user) should have to go through this whole rigamarole since Apple is apparently the culprit in introducing this problem to my system, due to the upgrade to 10.10.3, but here it is:
    Problem description:
Since upgrading to 10.10.3, I’m getting pop-up dialogue boxes on pages with embedded videos telling me that the app I need to view the video is missing and that I should search the MacApp store to find what I need (which is actually nothing at all).  I have to click cancel to continue and the videos can be viewed as normally.  This only started with the latest Mac version of OS X, and I blame the problem on Apple, which has apparently introduced some error into my system.

  • A suspicious dialogue box is appearing on my Mac, with a checkbox for using searchmoose. How can I get rid of this?

This morning when I booted up my MacBook Pro, I got a suspicious-looking dialogue box that says "Update Alert!" and something about downloading a utility in preparation for "the new version of OSX." A checkbox below offered searchmoose as my search engine. I unchecked that and clicked on Cancel, but the dialogue box appeared again a little while ago. It looks almost like an official Mac message - but not quite. Any suggestions about getting rid of this greatly appreciated!

  • How to choose the print dialogue box of mac in place of print dialogue box of microsoft office for mac ?

When I use my microsoft word for mac and that I want to print something, it's not the print dialogue box of my mac that open but the print dialogue box of microsoft.... How to use the defaut print dialogue box ?
    Thanks

Your take shows iOS 6, but I'm assuming you're talking about OS X since this is the Lion forum.
MS Word does show a somewhat different layout of the print dialogue, but all of the same options are there under the pulldown menu (where it starts at "Copies & Pages").

  • When left click drop down arrow and other items, dialog box constantly pops up instead of performing action. how can I turn it off, or must I uninstll mozilla?

When using mozilla for web searches, each time I click to correct a word or grammar a dialog box constantly comes up like a right click box asking if want to copy, cut correct spell etc. when I click to search at the magnifying glass another box keeps coming up. Seems like everything I left click when in mozilla springs up a dialog box. Pretty frustrating and does not happen when I use AOL search without mozilla. The right click box comes up as it should but need to lose this left click box or firefox. I already checked mouse touch pad properties and made sure R click main.

Not sure what you mean by "see" the USB printer.
If you simply plugged the printer in to the Time Capsule, it will not be "seen" by anything.
You won't "see" the printer until you use System Preferences > Print & Scan on both of your Macs to "Add" the printer. Did you do this for both Macs?

  • Constant iCloud  Dialogue  Box Reminder isBecoming Annoying

I'm a L-O-N-G time  Mac user, but have had myriad problems both getting my latest iMac up and running (due to hardware issues)  – and dealing with updated versions of familiar software that were not compatible with  the new OS  X version on my current Mac, so have not had time to explore iCloud. Also have a new iPad  mini still sittining the box  because I haven't had time even to set  it up.
Meanwhile, in the past week or so, I've suddenly been besieged with  reminders to do "something" with iCloud. Although I have a general idea of  the kinds of services iCloud offers, I 'm not sure I want to deal with it right now. In particular, I'm concerned about having to rely on documents stored "up here" if accessing them requires internet access, since our service from Time Waner is flaky to say the least. Monthly statements for  our service always arrive on time, but we never know when our  phone, TV or internet service will be on the blink.
For all of the above reasons, I would rather postpone dealing with iCloud for now (or at leatuntil I  get my ipad set up) , but am uncertain about how  to stop  the reminders without disabling iCloud completely (if that's possible). So far I have been able to locate iCloud in my system profile,  but can't tell if restarting it later will be  a problem.
So far I have not attempted to turn off  individual  features  because it requires  signing in — which rasies another problem:
In  my nearly  30 years as a Mac user, Apple has  used different formats for passwords (e.g., no specific format . . . specific number of  letters . . . combination of  upper and lowercase  letters . . .  inclusion of a single  cap or  numeral . . . mixed caps and numerals, etc.)  so  it seems like I'm constantly having to choose new passwords altogether in order to avoid conflicts with earlier versions of the same word.
I  learned years ago to keep updated passwords for different websites in a  notebook, but Apple apprently still has some of the old  names in its system, which means that I am constantly having to change even recently updated names.
Yes, I  know it's recommended that  passwords be changed regularly to avoid hacking, but I am running out of  creative new combinations for just the  dozen  or so sites I visit most regularly.
In short, is there any way to just stop  the iCloud reminders without having to change  the password I created just  4 days ago when I installed new software?

"When you sign out any data that is in that account will be removed from the Mac, but it will remain in your account in the cloud, so if you find it removes anything you didn't want it to, you can get it back by signing in again."
That's exactly what concerns me. Although I probably will appreciate  it once I have time to  play around with my new  iPad — or if  should suddenly   lose all the data on my Mac,  for now,  I have no interest in using the iCloud.
But your explanation hits precisely on my concern. If I understand it correctly, signing out will remove the date from my Mac , but leep it in iCloud. I don't understand why I casn't selectively remove  specific items from iCloud, but keep them  on the Mac.
Aldo, since the message I keep receiving seems to be limited to my email why "the system" keeps insisting that iCloud requires that I sign out.
Why is that necessary if I just want to keep the status quo without sending it off ot iCloud?

  • Shut down dialog box constantly pops up

I have a macbook air running Lion that constantly brings up the shut down dialog box.  When I click cancel it goes away for a few seconds but then returns.  Any one else have this problem or know how to solve it?
    Thank you for any help.

I took the macbook to a repair place that was not an apple store but did repairs on macs.  They said it was the power button itself actually.  They had to replace the keyboard though.  It works totally fine now and they guaranteed it for a year.  It was a quick repair. SADLY it cost around $400.   Interestingly the repair person cautioned me to be careful of heat, to use the machine on solid surfaces and not let it overheat.
Just FYI,  when the lap top was BRAND NEW it had a funky keyboard problem, when you hit a button it would do other things.. so they replaced the keyboard for free, it was only a few weeks old then.  Now when this problem cropped up I took it back to apple since it had been less than a year since that replacement.  They claimed the laptop had water damage based on some kind of funky stupid sticker, the kind they stick in cell phones.  There was never any water spills on the laptop. I'm a grown person, if I had spilled something on it I would have suspected that caused the problem    Since when did THAT start...seemed really really like scam to me.  So...I think I got a lemon from the start.  This is second keyboard in less than a year.  But, it was really the powerbutton.
