Icloud difficulty

i got my iphone 4s replaced today, my music is not appearing on my phone from the icloud? what do i do?

The verification email is sent to the email address associated with the Apple ID you used to set up your iCloud account.  I'm not sure you can change this for an iCloud account, but if you want to try, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my account on the right, sign in and click on edit next to the primary email address.  Then tap the "verify now" link.  If it won't let you change it, you'll have to delete the iCloud account from your phone (Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account at the bottom and set up a new one with an Apple ID using your correct email address.

    I am using the most up to date version of Mavericks and Pages and can log into iCloud without any problems.  Is this just a glitch?  The files all behaved properly under previous versions and the initial release of the new version of Pages.

    Pages for iCloud beta is a weird beast and as it says "beta".
    I think it is the least compatible of all the many different .pages files floating around out there.

    In order to use your Apple ID to create an iCloud account, the primary email address associated with the ID must first be verified.  To do this, Apple will send a verification email to your account and you must respond to the email by clicking the Verify Now link.  Make sure you are check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

    This refers to permissions on your computer which must have been changed. Start by using Disk Utility to repair permissions. Then do the following:
    Reset User Permissions and ACLs in Lion/Mountain Lion
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
    Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    From the Utilities menu select Terminal. At the Terminal prompt enter: resetpassword. Press RETURN. When the window opens select your startup drive where it says "Select the volume containing the user account:" At the bottom of the window you will see, "Reset Home folder permissions and ACLs." Click on the Reset button.

  • Difficulty Deleting iCloud Calendar

    All:
    I am having difficulty deleting one of my calendars in iCloud.  Net net, it only has the i within a circle and says it is being shared with family members.  However, I don't have any family members in iCloud.  When I click on one of my iOS devices or my PC, I can't delete it either because it says the Calendar is part of iCloud.  Am I doing something wrong?
    Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

    Thanks to AKRBTN for this reply to a previous poster. I had a similar question (not that iPhone was deleting past events, but that it just wasn't synching past events). I called APPLCARE; the rep said since my phone is out of warranty, I could either pay $20 to get help from her or go online. Easy choice to check the Apple community. Nice to find where the setting is.

    An Apple ID is used for everything (including this site) and including iCloud. See the quote below from https://appleid.apple.com/
    There is no such thing as an iCloud password but it is possible that you have 2 Apple IDs and you are using one of them for iCloud.

  • I am having difficulty downloading APPS in my IPAD2. iCloud keeps on reinstalling APPS. And about iTunes, do I have to keep the APPS I downloaded through iTunes? Because I only have a Mac Air 11 64G, so I don't want to back up my iPad apps in the Mac.

    Help? I keep on moving in circles. If I download the app through itunes and i go online with the ipad, icloud reinstalls the apps. Then if I download apps with the ipad and I plug it into the Mac, iTunes is forcing me to copy the purchases I made on the iPad to my iTunes. I don't want to keep too many files on the Mac, so I remove them from the iTunes, and if iTunes suddenly decides to force me to synce, I lose a lot of other Apps that I didn't even download using iTunes. I am very confused. How do I do this manually? I don't want to back up everything in the laptop because it's memory is very limited.

  • I am still having great difficulty with pages docs in iCloud.

    I thought Pages docs created on either device - ie iPad and MacBook - were supposed to update automatically but they don't. I can see the little cloud thing in action while typing on my document on the MacBook but the document stays exactly the same on my iPad and I just don't know what I'm doing wrong.     Documents that have been created or edited on your mobile devices and saved in iCloud, can be accessed from your Mac at the website iCloud.com. You will need to download the documents from iCloud in order to edit them on your Mac.
    Similarly, any documents created or edited on your Mac, will will need uploading to the iCloud.com website in order for you to share them with your mobile devices.

    Safari keychain suggested a password for a forum I regularly visit. I accepted it and enabled this new password. Now when I go back to that forum on any device, Safari either won't fill in that password or fills in the previous password (pre Keychain). Now I cannot log in. When I go into preferences, under passwords list, it shows the old password!

  • Difficulty keeping Google Contacts and iCloud in sync

    I have an iPhone, an iPad, and a Gmail account.  I'd like to keep my contacts consistent across all of them, but I'm finding this to be very difficult.
    I followed the instructions on here which seemed to work for editing linked contacts.  But there is a problem with this approach: when using my iphone, I can only add contacts on one of the two accounts (either gmail or icloud) but not both at the same time.  If I'm in "all contacts" and click the add contact button, it will only add a contact in the account designated as "default account" in the iOS contact settings.
    Is there a better way to keep all contacts synced?

    Since you are using Google, you might consider not trying to add iCloud in the mix, and just sync your Google contacts to your iDevices.  There are many web pages which will walk you through how to setup your Google account on your iPhone or iPad as if it were an Exchange account.  Going that route, you can then select to sync your contacts over the air between Google and your mobile device.  I used that for about a year, then I made the full switch to iCloud.I've debated about going back, but I haven't gotten that desperate yet.

    I get "Access to "xxx" in "XXX's Calendar" in account "iCloud" is not permitted. The server responded:"403" to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation. 
    When I respond as "revert to server" it changes my calendar event.
    How can I get the access permitted?

    I have something similar. But when I click on Revert to Server, it goes away and immediately comes back with the same alert. If I click on Go off line, the alert dissappears, but a short while later it returns with the original alert. This is a pain because I am off line most of the time, or busy getting the icon ical in the dock to stop jumping.
    So I reentered the  event using different wording and deleted the original event. All that happened was the alert returned but using a different alert.
    Sorry not a lot of help.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple,  Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
    Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
    If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

    Tried setting up iCloud on my iPhone 4 and MB Pro.
    Keeps telling me that my existing Apple ID is no good - the user name must be an e-mail address. Fair enough.
    When I log into the Apple ID site to edit my username, there's a handy option to convert my existing username to my default email address.
    However, when I click submit, it just hangs and nothing happens.  Tried manually editing my username to match my email address but it won't allow me!
    Is the website just screwed up atm or do I need to create a fresh Apple ID? <-- Don't really want to do this as I'll lose my app store purchase history on the iPhone

    I cannot turn iCloud on my iPhone.  When I access through my 'settings' menu, it's telling me my account needs to be verfied and I need to check my email.  Well, the email that's listed is wrong!  I'm not sure how my phone has the wrong email address.  I guess I need to know how to get that changed, so I can receive an email to verify to set up the cloud on my phone.  Any help?  Additionally, my email address is correct in every other application...

  • Is anyone else having difficulty syncing yahoo contacts with icloud?

    I don't know how long it has been since my yahoo contacts quit syncing with icloud to my ipod touch 4g. I've tried every possible combination today and nothing will get it to work other than going back to the old way of syncing through itunes with the cable connected.
    The yahoo group of contacts is blank on my ipod but it seems to be syncing with the "All from My Pc" group which I don't quite understand. I thought before the yahoo group of contacts was full of the yahoo syncd contacts.
    I use Yahoo mail so I'm not crazy about moving over to Google although I did already move to use the Google calendar with an android tablet and I am syncing the google calendar just fine with both the android tablet and the ipod touch.

    Yes, I've had call quality issues with my S5.  I can hear callers just fine.  To them, I sound broken, or they hear nothing but static and garbled noise.  Speakerphone works, but is not ideal.  Bluetooth works, but I'm not always in my car or connected to bluetooth.  A plugged in headset works.
    For a time, turning off bluetooth seemed to resolve this.  Then I did the update to Lollipop, and the issue intensified.  I've tried multiple setting combinations (HD calling off and on, Bluetooth off and on, network Global to LTE/CDMA, Noise reduction off and on, etc...)  I've done a system cache clear, FDR, deactivated and reactivated.... finally activated another phone I had available since the S5 was pretty much unusable as a phone.  And I'm waiting for a patch to see if it makes a difference.
    I wish I had a solution....
