i have registered both my iphone and macbook and they both show in the "find my iphone" and it will located my iphone, but says unable to locate my macbook.

Fine, but if wifi is off or not connected, then it won't work. That's always one thing to check.
Another issue is when routers are not registered with their location. Home routers occassionally have this problem (usually the ISP doesn't provide the "web" (where locations are stored in a database) with the data). One test is to try locating your device when connected to a public wifi service (a coffee shop, etc.).

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

First, I suggest you limit the subject line of your question to a few words which will help someone identify the problem you are encountering. Putting the entire question there looks as though you are shouting.
It would help anyone to identify your problem if you were to say what video codec (file format) you are using, and describe the method you are using in your attempts to export it.
You could also list any relevant error messages you encounter.
What version of FCP X are you using?
All these things will make it easier for people to help you.

Do you have access to an Apple Store? If so, make an appointment at the genius bar and show them the problem and maybe ask them to run a hardware test. Since you just reinstalled the OS, that should rule out a software issue.
It can be hard to troubleshoot over the phone. It may be easier to find the problem if someone can look at your Mac in person and see what it is doing.

The keyboard doesn't normally play any role in Apple apps regarding spellcheck. That is determined by system prefs/keyboard/text/spelling. Go the setup item at the bottom of the list and make sure that British English and Spanish are the only two boxes checked, and then set it to Automatic. How well it works varies a lot. You may also need to check Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Show Spelling and Grammar.
If you are still using Pages 4, spellcheck is determined by Inspector > Text > More > Language. Make sure that is set to the right thing for what you want to do.

Windows 7 (32) itunes 8.0.2 does not recognise ipod touch - any ideas?

trying windows 7 beta, upgrading from vista, most things work fine but when I plug my ipod in itunes does not see it any more. Windows 7 just shows it as an unspecified device, not browsable or anything. iphoto has stopped showing the map and location pins when we select "places" - any ideas why and how to fix it? we have Iphoto '09

Go into Safari's cookies and delete all cookies with Google in the name. Close and relaunch both Safari and iPhoto. Also log ot of any Google account you may be logged into online.
If you have a Google account you will have to repeat the cookie deleting every time you log into that account.

Hi Folks.
I have written the following program unit. This is fired from a WHEN-CHECKBOX-CHANGED trigger in my form.
If I happilly click a checkbox on and off several times the program unit works fine, making changes and then undoing them.
The only thing it does not do is make the final call to UPDATE_SESSION_LOG.
Eg.
If I check and uncheck the same checkbox 5 times then all the changes to the required tables are made correctly apart from the final call to UPDATE_SESSION_LOG which seems to get missed. Both program units are listed below.
Please post a reply with any sugggestions.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Notice there is no mention of WiMax.

Running w8.0 just installed Slideshow 1.4.7 to view multiple jpg images in an attachment in Thunderbird 24.4.0. As I understand it Slideshow should show beside the attachments, it's not there. Have tried numerous reboots etc but still not happening. An ideas?

Hi Matt, Yes I have expanded the attachments (there are 15 in this particular email) & there is nothing other than the jpg images. Slideshow is in the "Extensions" and appears to be ready to go, just not showing up in attachments.
