Icloud does not recognize my new ID & i can not use icloud to delete the account for a new one
i cloud does not recognize my new Apple ID on my mini ipad i had no problem with mac book & iphone only with the ipad
Did you change the assigned email address of your account before you tried to change it on the iPad? If yes then you would have to change the ID back to the old email address, then sign out, then change it back to the new address and then sign in again.

I recently changed my apple ID but the old on is still on my iCloud account. The old address is dimmed on iCloud on my iPad so I can't change it. How do I change to the new address? I don't want to delete the account as I don't want to lose the pictures
To change it, you have delete the existing account. However you can avoid losing any pictures in the process. To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll. (Camera roll photos are not effected by deleting the account.)
Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in. -
Can i use an old eprint email account with a new printer?
can i use an old eprint email account with a new printer?
Hello arbazu,
Unfortunately, when setting up a new/replacement printer, you wont be able to use the same email address, nor can it be transferred to another printer. Once an email is used, the email address itself is not able to be used for a certain period of time (which I believe is 6 months).
However, by creating a new email address, but adding an 01 or 02 at the end, you can get something very similar to what you had previously.
If I have helped in any way, just click the Kudos star on the left. Also, if your issue has been resolved, don't forget to select Accept as Solution -
I just ran my updates for my MacBook Pro and now my iphoto won't open. I get a pop up that say's You can't use this version of the applicaton IPhoto with this version of os x. You have iphoto 9.2.3.
This screenshot shows which previous versions of iPhoto are compatible with Mavericks. It also indicates which versions qualify for a free upgrade to iPhoto 9.5.1 and which require a purchase:
Note 1: every day more users are reporting problems with iPhoto 8.1.2 so I've included it in the non compatible category.
Note 2: If your previous version of iPhoto was iPhoto 7 (08) or earlier you'll need to download and run the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 application on the library before opening it with iPhoto 9.5.1.

My old Apple ID doesn't work, so I created a new one. However, my iPad(3) is backed-up on my old apple ID. I tried deleting it(for iCloud) but it said it would erase everything. Help?
If you want to use a new ID, you'll have to create a new iCloud account using the new ID, then migrate your existing icloud data to the new account. Start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll). Next, if you are syncing notes with iCloud, open them one at a time and email them to yourself so you can recreate them in the new account. Finally, if you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, turn off iCloud syncing in your iWork app settings.
Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Keep on My iPad when prompted. Then sign in with your new ID to create the new account, turn your iCloud data syncing back on and choose Merge to upload the data to the new account.
When you turn Mail to On you will create a new @icloud.com email account. You can go to icloud.com sign into your old account and set up email forwarding from your old iCloud email address to your new one if you wish -
I bought the iPhone 5c. Prior to this I changed my apple ID. This phone associates with my old one, which no longer exists and therefore has no password. So, I cannot use icloud on my phone. Any suggestions?

Why is the Kaspersky security system not accepted by Firefox 4?
I like to keep up to date on the latest versions but I can't upgrade to 4 if it does not accept Kaspersky since this my primary security program.Your general security software will still run outside of Firefox. Kaspersky has posted an article on exactly what you lose in the way of security add-ons when moving to Firefox 4:
[http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208284261 Kaspersky Lab products and Mozilla Firefox 4.0: co-working peculiarities]
I don't think Kaspersky has posted a date when its add-ons will be updated for Firefox 4. -
I've got some legacy documents that are unavailable anywhere else. Since I cannot replace or recreated them, they must be recovered. Any suggestions on what application will get the job done? Thanks.
Try LibreOffice [free].

Can I set up a 2nd iTunes account for a new iPod on my iMac?
How do you set it up? If so, can the 2 accounts share music? If they can share music, does it have to be the entire library or can you pick and choose what you want to share? Lastly, can they have 2 different cards or iTunes cards linked to them? Thanks!!
Yes, as long as he/she is at least 13 years old.

My user ID is correct on my PC, but not on my iphone 5, so unable to access updates or anything. How do I change apple id on phone
To change the ID for iTunes (including app updates) go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the correct ID. For iMessage, do the same thing in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive. For FaceTime, do this in Settings>FaceTime.
If you need to change the ID for iCloud, you'll have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account. Before deleting the account, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them. To do this, open the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll. Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account. -

Can I use ICloud as backup for my huge movie archive ?
Hi Mac Friends, first I have to admit that I am not a computer expert, but willing to learn. I have many movies stored on 2 external HDD's, approx 3,5 TB, and I am scared of loosing data for any stupid reason. What's the best, saving data on another HDD, or using ICloud ? Thanks to all who are responding
You can't use iCloud for general file storage such as your movies. There are other cloud-based options available that will, some of which are listed here on Roger Wilmut's site: http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/missing/inicloud3.html.
If might be cheaper to just copy them to another external HDD or two, and save these offsite or in a fire safe if you're concerned about losing them. -
I changed my ICloud account ID but my new phone won't let me change it unless I put in my old password and turn off the find my phone feature. But the phone will not recognize my old password. Can someone help me?
New iPhones don't come setup with an Apple ID/Password. What you're experiencing is called Activation Lock, & unless you know the original Apple ID/Password that was originally used to first activate this phone, you won't be able to reactivate it.
You can login to iCloud.com, from any computer, use Find My Phone to locate & erase the phone. But, you'll still need to know the original Apple ID/Password to reactivate it. -
I use different languages in my daily activities, when typing other than English Mac does not recognize them, is there anyway can Mac stop suggesting or automatically correcting me?
Is this a problem with the computer or with the word processor? MS Word for example seems to think its grammar and spelling are better than mine - they are not. You have to go into MS Word preferences and uncheck all the useless "help" it wants to provide.
