ICloud does not sync with iPhone and MacBook for iCal and address book.

I have installed the upgraded software to both devices.  Email syncs fine.

Thanks for the visual!  on my iPhone under Accounts it has my email like your line 2 above with the secondary line 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars and 7 more...'.  In the Setings menu under General I have iCloud that has all the buttons turned on for Mail Contacts, Calendars.  On my MacBook in System Preferences for Internet and Wireless, Mail, Contacts and Calendars is the iCloud account.  There is also iCloud in the same folder as the blue @ sign.
I should explain that I had two mobileme accounts on these devices before switching to iCloud.  The first email was a 'family' email noend_er and it was the initial email that I set up iTunes with many years ago then a couple of years ago I set up my own email account with my iPhone and MacBook.  I have an Apple guru friend who helped me create my own iTunes on my MacBook and iPhone using my own email account.  We cleaned up, to the best, of our knowledge the inconsistency with the two accounts.

  • Address Book Associates Field does not sync with iPhone

Apple went to the trouble of getting custom field names in the Mac OS Address Book to synchronize with the iPhone (which is wonderful), but they left one field 'unsyncable'; the associates field. If you list a contact's manager name, spouse name, child name, etc. in Address Book, it does not sync with the iPhone (OS 3.0.1) 'Phone' application. This is very useful (and embarrasment-preventing) when needing to remember the name of a contact's manager, wife, child, etc. Does anyone have any idea why Apple left this out of the sync? Certainly it couldn't have to do with saving memory...

Oh yes! i have this same problem - i have tried emailing Apple Customer Support but they were unable to help me. They advised me to speak to technical or raise the issue on the Apple Support board (but someone already has!)
so if someone can help us both out here with how to sync additional field information added on Address Book on Mac to then sync all this additional information to iPhone, we would be greatly appreciative!!Thanks,
    Mark

  • Calendar on MacBook Pro does not sync with iPhone 4s

I used Entourage to sync my calendar entries via iTunes for many years and it worked fine. Recently, however, it stopped syncing my information.  I switched over to Mail and Calendar, hoping that staying within the Apple family it would resolve the issue. Still, my calendar information is not syncing with my iPhone. I use IOS 10.9 Maverick on my MacBook Pro.  My iPhone 4S version is 7.0.4. Any idea why this syncing calendar information is not happening?

I have my iPhone attached via USB cable to my MacBook Pro.
I have been able to successfully sync my calendar now by activating iCloud on my iPhone and via System Preferences on my MacBook Pro after I learned that Maverick does not provide iSync.
However, I have a new problem: The calendar does not "upgrade" (it gets stuck) and I receive a "403" error and it gets stuck in a loop that I have to force quit. I have looked that up in the forum, but wasn't able to solve this issue because the solutions are way to technical and out of my league.
Very disappointed development as removing calendar from iCloud now also deletes all my entries on the Mac.

  • Iphone:icloud will not sync with my new macbook

I just recently got a MacBook pro and I have had an iPhone for about 2 months and all my contacts from my phone will not sync with my Mac. I have no clue what to do and I have tried everything hooking it up to the computer...turning the contacts thing on and off...and even registering the icloud again off of my phone.
    Please Help!

Close iTunes. On your phone, double tap the Home button to bring up the multi-tasking bar, tap & hold any app until they all start to wiggle & a red minus sign appears. Tap the red minus sign to remove every app shown. Tap Home button when finished. Re-start your Mac, launch iTunes, connect your phone. See if things work now.

  • ICal does not sync with iPhone via iTunes

I have installed Mountain Lion on my Macbook Air couple of days ago and the calendar stopped syncing with my iphone. I sync through iTunes as I do not wish to use iCloud. Sync is set to all calendars and all events (no restriction), but nothing goes through. Tried adding events through my iPhone or through the Macbook, no difference, they do not get across to the other device. I have checked all settings, they seem to be carried forward from Lion unchanged. Any ideas or is it a Mountain Lion fault. Please do not tell me that the only way to sync will be through iCloud!

Thank you for the well-meant advice
Sorry - none of it works
To say I am frustrated is a joke!!!!
For starters my system does not follow the logic of Z001 - the file sequence is fifferent on my PB. The only cache file I could locate was 'Calendar Cache' and deleting it made no difference
IAs a precaution I did first export my Calendar to the desktop; then I exited the Cloud; tried to do a manual sync between iPhone and PB. But watching the iTunes indicator bar reveals that the cal syn is simply not happening
    So there is a bug.
Heck, my rave has always been how flawlessly the iPhone and MB speak to each other, Mountain Lion has wrecked that.
At present the only workable solution is to dump Mountain Lion and go back to Lion.

  • ITunes sporadically does NOT sync with iPhone due to low battery?

I use my iPhone at work for most of the day as my iPod. If I don't sync during lunch (which requires that I bring my MacBook to work), at the end of the day the play count and last played date don't sync - which is aggravating as I use smart playlists based upon those conditions to keep the tracks I'm listening to continuously rotating.
As most of these tracks are lecture series, it's frustrating to "lose track" of where I was in the lecture series when the play count and last played date aren't updated properly.
The only thing I can think of as a contributing factor is the low battery life of the iPhone when not synced/charged mid-day. Can anyone verify this behavior? Does anyone know of a fix?

  • Calendar – Outlook does not sync with iPhone / iTunes

I posted this question to the iphone hardware forum, however it seems to be more suited to iTunes.
I have had Microsoft Office 2003 working with iTunes and my iPhone 4 to sync my calendar and contacts for some time, and everything worked perfectly up to the other day.
Recently I upgraded from Microsoft Office 2003 to Office 2010, and now the calendar will not sync.  Contacts seems to sync ok, but not the calendar.
I have recently gone through several iterations of upgrades for iTunes, iPhone, and other MS patches and updates.  Evrything is now up to date.  However, nothing I do changes to way that Outlook ignores the iTunes sync.
Everything worked fine until the upgrade to Office 2010.  I have changed all of the settings in both iTunes and Outlook and on the phone itself.  There does not seem to be any way to make it work.
I always wait for some time before doing any upgrade to make sure the bugs are worked out of it.  Since Microsoft Office 2010 has been out for almost three years, I would have assumed that iTunes would work with it, as it normally did with earlier versions.  (my mistake)
While the potential is there for the iPhone to ba a good business tool, the basic inability to reliably sync to Outlook (what is agrguably the most prevalent e-mail, contacts and calendar program currently in use) seems to be a relatively significant issue.
Is there any way to fix this?

I looked at the article you referenced, however it appears that the focus is to get Google calndar and Outlook to work together.  I do not use Google calendar.
The only real change to the Microsoft side appears to be the change of the version in the Outlook executable file.
Is this all it takes to get MS Office 2010 to sync with iTunes?

  • ITunes 11.0.4 does not sync with iPhone 5

    I'm running Windows 8 (64bit).
Installed the above and tried to sync, it can detect my iPhone 5, it can sync with my photos, but it can't sync with my music, movies and tones.
There are some other songs, movies and tones already in my iPhone so when I sync, normally it would prompt me that all data would be erased if I sync with this computer, now there is no such message, all my old media files are still there which I can't even erase.
Finally, when I tried transferring my apps, it said my computer not authorised.  After I authorised this computer, it still repeats same old error message and some of my apps are still not transferred.
The older version of ITunes do not have such problem at all, kindly help, I'm a long time supporter of Apple, but this frustrating experience is really turning me off.
    Thank you very much.

i have the same problem also.
    iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4, windows 7, iTunes 11.0.5

  • DISSAPOINTED TO DO LIST will NOT SYNC WITH IPHONE 3.0 IN ICAL

I was just wondering if other iphone users are dissappointed apple have not made the todo list in ical sync with ical on the iphone. I find this the most annoying thing. What is the main reason apple will not make this upgrade. I had hoped it would feature in 3.0 but it is not there. Just so dissappointing. I have emailed the suggestions site and wonder if this is a waste of time.
How do we get crucial feature implemented.
I don't want to use todo why should I have to get another program when its already on my laptop
    Cathal

I only buy maybe 5-10 laptops a year, so I'm not a major purchaser of Apple products (though I did buy two copies of FCP last year, and have a variety of minis laying around) -- but as a business owner and solutions developer (we have almost 10,000 sq. ft. of data facility) -- people tend to receive my input on technology, especially on the "non-Windows" side (UNIX, MacOSX, etc.)
People are usually pretty stunned that I don't have an iPhone.
Aside from the sad AT&T network in Seattle -- the primary deal-killer for me, beyond everything else is that the iPhone has no Todo support. I run my business on the principles of David Allen's "Getting Things Done" -- and I'd likely consider purchasing iPhones for everyone in the company that has a principle stake in productivity ... but not if we need to use separate Todo applications.
I'm one tiny business that has consciously opted to forgo purchasing their product line because it doesn't support Todos.
I wonder how many more like me exist?

  • HT1351 Macbook pro ical does not sync with iPhone

I enter calendar events in iPhone but they don't apperar in MacBook Pro calendar.
The reverse (enter in Macbook and they appear in iphone) works..

  • IPhoto does not sync with iPhone over USB anymore

    I'm using iPhoto '11 (9.4.2) on OS X 10.8.2 and an iPhone 4S (now with iOS 6.1.2).
A few months ago when I connected my iPhone over USB iPhoto would start and do the expected workflow as it still does when I connect any other camera: Import the new images and delete them on the iPhone.
Since around I installed iOS 6 on the iPhone iPhoto will not start anymore when the iPhone is connected. When started manually it will show the iPhone but not recognize any new images.
I don't (want to) use Fotostream.
I have looked for other answers and the usually suggested restarting / resetting has not helped.

    Main drive apple powerbook
Have tried changing libraries to backups on external but same result.  They work but not recognized by other programs. All are named iphoto library
