ICloud doesn't recognize my Apple id password

I just changed my Apple id password because someone else was listed under my email. After doing that, my icloud accound doesn't recognize my apple id password.  FYI, when I went in to my account to change the password, I saw all the persons info, address, telephone etc. who was using my email account. How did that happen? All of my info was not there. So I took his out and replaced with my info. But then I couldn't get itunes or icloud to recognize my new password.

I had a very similar experience.  I made a purchase last month.  Everything was fine.  Then I try to login two days ago and I can't.  Nothing works.  Can't reset my password, and when I try I never get an email with the new one.
I email apple support and they tell me that my email address (and apple ID) has been changed to some weird address.  I  reply and tell them that I never did this and never got an email saying it had been changed.  They had me try to log in with the new email address (which I couldn't).  Eventually they reset my password (still with the new weird email address) and I could log in.  I then quickly changed the password and apple ID back to my email address.  However, the billing info was weird.  My street and city were correct, yet the State/ZIP and phone were all from New Mexico.  It doesn't look like any purchases were made.
I am starting to think that there were no accounts hijacked here, otherwise we would have received an email when the ID was changed (as I did when I changed mine back).  I think that something got corrupted in Apple's database.

  • ICloud doesn't recognize my apple ID

I'm trying to set up icloud on my iMac. 10.7.2 installed, go to system preferences, click iCloud, enter my username and password, a message pops down saying 'You can't sign in at this time' 'Try signing in again' and at the bottom it says in red 'Unrecognized Apple ID or password'. Thing is both of these are correct, I can log in through iTunes and manage my ac, log in through my iPad etc no problem. I have tried running Disk Utility repair preferences and restarting but still the same. iCloud won't recognized my account ... ?

I had the same promblem using my ipad2, I thought i was going crazy, then I noticed once when I put my user name in and checked it was right, one time it dropped the last letter as went to hit submit (i actually saw it erased!) so i went back put the deleted "m" back into "com", hit enter, put in my password multiple times, tripple checked, no joy. I guessed it could be dropping the last letter also of my P/W.
So I hit remote on my iphone4s did the same UN/PW and it worked first time! I had the same promblem with accessing YouTube - I know I was putting the right UN/PW i did it about 10 times in but it wouldn't let me in, then miraculously one time it did... could be a letter dropping bug..
I think remote on the ipad is just buggy, as I couldn't use it with ATV when I first upgraded both the remote App and ATV, yet every other app that streamed music, pictures or video including iTunes (upgraded) on my PC had no problem working or connecting with apple TV. So in the end I resorted to a ATV reset and then it worked, as I knew it wasn't a network problem. I only found this logging in error after.

  • I changed my Apple ID and now my iCloud doesn't recognize my new id. What can I do to fix the problem?

I changed my Apple ID and now my iCloud doesn't recognize my new id. Can anyone help me with my problem? Please break it down for me, I'm an old lady. Lol

To change the iCloud ID on your iPad you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.
If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPad, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID.
Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (open the my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • TS2972 My AppleTv doesn't seem to recognize my Apple ID password?

My AppleTV doesn't seem to recognize my Apple ID password (which has always worked in the past)?   I can, however, "share" photos and music from my iPhone & iPad, as well as my computer.  The problem is instead of the multiple rows of icons that show up on my TV screen, I only see the "Home Sharing" and the "Setting" icons.  I've tried going into settings to re-enter my password; turned off / on iTunes on my computer; turned off/on my modem and wireless routers (one in house & one in office next door).  Since the wireless works, it seems like an Apple issue.  I've noticed when I'm at friends' houses (whoi have Apple TV) sometimes only the two icons also show up?  Anyopne have any ideas?

  • HT5395 AFter installing IOS 7 Imessage does not recognize my Apple ID password.

Itunes and Icloud still recognizes my Apple Id password.  Whenever I try utilizing Imessaging on my IMAC it shows that the account is inactive and offline.  When I send a text message to another Iphone etc. from my phone and ipad mini it will only send it as a message (green bubble)  and not an imessage (blue). On my Imac, I am asked to sign in with my Apple ID password.  When I do I get an error message that says "server encountered an error processing registration, try again later."  This has been going on for a week now.

    Hi,
Did the repair of the Hard Drive involve the Mother/logic board at all ?
At OS X 10.8.2 Apple introduce a security measure that involves using the Mac's Serial Number.
It is held on the main board and can be read by the Apple icon Menu > About this Mac
Click twice on the current OS X level. It will change to the Build Number  (another way of counting the OS) and then to the Serial Number.
If the Number is missing you will have to visit an Apple Store or an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) to have it put back.

  • HT204053 iCloud mail account on iphone, but password doesn't match corresponding Apple ID password

I have an iCloud mail account on my iphone linked to my Apple ID. however, the password to iCloud account appears to be different to the Apple ID password and I don't know what the password is. Is this how it should be or is it a glitch? Is there any solution to recovering it, as I cannot use the mail account without the password?

    Hey Michael,
The password for your Apple ID account should be the same as your iCloud account (unless you have two separate accounts). If you no longer remember this password, or would like to reset it for good faith, you can do so by following the information in this resource:

  • IOS 8 New iPhone 6 iCloud is asking for nonexistent Apple ID password

I just got my iPhone 6 and chose to restore it from an old iPhone backup. Now for iCloud it's asking me for the password to an old Apple ID associated with an email that doesn't even exist anymore. It's trying to verify me via email to that nonexistent email address. When I try to delete that iCloud account, in order to delete it it's asking for the password to this old/nonexistent Apple ID. I can't even reset the phone without this old Apple ID working. I tried changing my current ID to this old one, but then it wants to send email to that nonexistent email address. Help! I'm stuck in a loop.

I have the same issue. The new address is fine when I use iTunes and on my iCloud account, but my iPhone has my old e-mail address and when I try to change it won't accept my new or old password to be able to do so.

  • I now have a new Apple ID because we forgot our password to the old one. How do I set up a new iCloud account without that old Apple ID password?

The iCloud message always pops up, however, it's conncected to our old Apple ID account which we no longer have the password for. Is there a way to delete that account and make a new one without the old password?

If the old ID is yours, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.
If the old ID isn't yours, or if the new ID is an entirely new ID, you'll have to reset the password for the old ID if you can't remember it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5787.  (Your iCloud ID is also an Apple ID.)
