A note about iCloud Drive and iOS 8
When you upgrade to iOS 8, you will be prompted to upgrade to iCloud Drive. If you choose to upgrade, your iOS 8 devices can no longer transfer files to iOS 7 devices or Macs running OS X 10.9 or earlier. You should only upgrade to iCloud Drive if your Macs are running OS X 10.10 Yosemite, and your other iOS devices are on iOS 8.
well, it also will not upload anything from Pages etc to iCloud in Mavericks either! if true, this is worse than the 8.0.1, bending, and every other debacle Apple has had in the last couple of weeks. why bother with iCloud if you can't use it? Microsoft used to force you to buy new programs, OS's etc every time they did an upgrade...

You should have no problems using iCloud via our network.

If you purchased the Apple USB SuperDrive, it will only work with select Apple devices. It won't work, for example, on my Late 2011 model that has a SuperDrive built-in, but it will work with an Air, Retina model, new 'drive-less' iMacs, etc.
As far as I know, though, you can only hack the drive to work with some other Apple devices, but not with Windows PCs. Which is a shame as other, less expensive DVD/CD devices will work with just about any machine.

Photoshop Elements 12 doesn't work with OS X Yosemite, why?

I bought Photoshop Elements 12 as download version on amazon.de about 9 months ago and installed it on Windows 7.
I bought a 13 inch macbook pro (mid2012) and tried to install photoshop on it after updating OS to MAC OS 10.10 Yosemite and using some tools like the rubber or the magic wand the program stops working and i have to start it a new but it still doesn't work.
Is this because of the new OS version or is there an other cause?

ICloud doesn't work with Office 2013

I have a Windows 7 Enterprise x64 machine with Office 2013 Pro Plus x64. iCloud installs fine, but when I try to enable "Mail, Contacts, Calendars, & Tasks with outlook" and hit Apply I get:
Also in outlook I go to File -> Options -> Add-Ins and the iCloud add-ins do not work.
I'm using the latest version of iCloud control panel for Windows version 2.0.
P.S.: I get what the trolls of lesser intelligence will boast out: "It's not supported, sorry.. just wait"
Well, I don't want to. I want to use Offcie 2013 and I want my iCloud on it, so I'm looking for some of the higher-intelligence folks to conjure up some sort of workaround. Because waiting for Apple to update iCloud to work on Office 2013, would probably be after the new version of Office is out.

No workaround. At least, a safe workaround.
The final version of Office 2013 was released on October 24th on TechNet and yes, we need to wait for Apple makes some fixes in iCloud for Windows.
Some tests on Virtual machines showed me that upgrades from Office 2010 to Office 2013 can work, with some tricks, but the result was not trusted.

Skype doesn't work with OS X Yosemite - does not a...

I recently upgraded to OS X Yosemite - terrible OS I highly discourage anyone use it. It's caused all kinds of compatability issues with various software.
Logging onto skype works for about a minute then I get forced into offline mode and cannot change my status or call anyone. I've tried rebooting the internet, rebooting skype and reinstalling but nothing has worked. It appears to be some sort of bug issue. My internet connection also gets killed sometime while using skype.
Please fix. The new OS has been out for a while now. No excuse to be several months late fixing a bug.

Hello, im new to website production and i recently made a css/html website and uploaded it to a website via fttp. For some reason in dreamweaver i can preview the pages i have created perfectly in every browser (even the browser combatibility says no issues) When i uploaded the site over the existing site, the template didnt show. It was the basic page without the css, it still had all the information. I would tell you guys the website, but my superiors needed me to fix the problem ASAP so i had to fix it by placing the old website back up. While it was up i could correctly see the website with IE8 on an account with ADMIN rights. If I used an account with out admin rights the website wouldnt work in any browser. Even when i was in an admin account, the site still didn't work in Firefox. Any and all help will be deeply appreciated! TY

The short answer is your links are all pointing to your hard drive

Delete from your links
file:///Z|/website/id/New2009/detachable (assuming that /detachable is the root folder)
Do that for all of your links that have the file://// in front of them.
The question then becomes why did this happen, how did you define your site, Root or Document Relative?

Since upgrading to 4.0.1 the email address [email protected] indicates that there is something wrong with any attachment in .pdf format. This happens when I send mail from my yahoo or aol mail accounts when using Mozilla. It does not occur if I'm using those mail accounts and Internet Explorer.
[email protected] lets you see what an email will look like when printed on a subscriber's Presto printer, which is a printer that is used without a computer, it periodically calls a toll-free number and looks for mail sent to that address. I believe anyone can send mail to [email protected] and will receive a reply back, so you could test tweeks to Mozilla that would resolve the problem. This issue started in September or October of 2010, was resolved by Presto at that time, but has not been resolved with the 4.0.1 version.

MS offers some advanced features only for its own IE browser and not for other browsers like Firefox.

Office 2011 Mac doesn't work with OS X Yosemite

Who can help me with that problem. Was talking to the Microsoft hotline and they couldn't solve the problem. It doesn't really launch anymore. It doesn't open properly and looks like frozen.

To follow up with another question. I was looking into uninstalling office and they say:
Step 2: Remove the Microsoft Office 2011 folder
On the Go menu, click Applications.
Drag the Microsoft Office 2011 folder to the Trash.
I do not know what they mean by the Go menu; I cannot believe how little I know .

Try www.apple.com/support/ and then put /icloud /iphoto /mail and tech articles in those, and links to their respective Community Discussion.
Mail support has a wizard to test your settings too.
Not sure what error or why you can't, maybe iCloud forum has better chance.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

BootCamp 4.0 Doesn't work with anything other than windows 7!?

This can't be right, so you're telling me I now can't install an OS like ubuntu or even Windows XP?!! If so apple will be losing a customer very soon.

That is quite right, Apple's bootcamp only supports Windows 7. It no longer supports XP or Vista. VMWare does support XP and even Ubuntu I think.

Yes that makes sense, however have you updated it at My Apple ID before trying to change it in your system preferences > iCloud settings, you must do that first.
