ICloud Drive on Mac not displaying folders like on internet

Hi,
I seem to be having a problem as the iCloud Drive in the Finder is not displaying the folders that are present on the iCloud on the internet.
Would really benefit from some help about this.

Locally only folders that have files in them are displayed. In my iCloud Drive folder I have the following:
If you haven't saved a Numbers file to the iCloud Drive the Numbers folder will not show on your Mac. You need to save from the application to the iCloud Drive and it will create a folder and save the file to it.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you haven't done so already you need to migrate your mail account to iCloud first and do so IMMEDIATELY at the website Move
Then
Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

How do i find my files on iPhone which i stored in iCloud drive on Mac ?

Hello. I have a Macbook pro and iphone. I stored some of my files on iCloud drive on mac and when i was looking for that files on my iPhones, i couldn't find it. Is there anyway we can find those files on iPhones or i was just thinking wrong.
Plus i want to know more about iCloud drive. How do i use iCloud drive and what is the different between iCloud drive and Dropbox ? Thank you.

If you increased the minimum font size then try the default setting 'none' as a high value can cause issues like you described.
* Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
* Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

If you need to increase (or decrease) the font size on websites then look at the NoSquint or Default FullZoom Level extension.

ICloud drive Photo Library not showing in finder

Although I can see my various folders (Keynote, Pages etc) in iCloud Drive in the finder in my Macbook, I can't see my Photo Library, it's there because I can see it in a browser and my iPhone. Very frustrating.

Your iCloud Photo Library (Beta) is not supposed to show on your iCloud Drive. You view it in "Photos" on your Mobile devices or on he iCloud webpage.
You will have to wait for the Photos.app on the Macs to be released early next year to be able to see iCloud Photo Library on a Mac. This part is still under developement.

ICloud Drive Windows 8.1 Empty Folders

I've tried this on 2 different PC's... I download the apple iCloud software, I enable drive, it adds all of the standard folders "Preview, Pages, Keynote" etc. BUT I also had created my own folders which are viewable on my macs and on iCloud.com that include all of my really important files and they do not sync with my Windows machines. ALSO I did have a few files in the Keynote folder, those aren't syncing either.
Please help! This is so frustrating.

I have now installed the 4.0.1 update to the iCloud control panel for windows, and the problem is still present. I check the iCloud drive option, but it does not create an icloud drive folder. The next time I open iCloud control panel for windows the iCloud drive option is unchecked.

Multiple iCloud drives on mac

My husband and I have separate Apple IDs, therefore, separate iCloud drives. Is there any way to access both from our one shared MAC without creating separate logins?

The secondary account data I am entering is correct: it is verified during the process and accepted.
Contact, Calendar and Reminders are ticked activated.
Mail is not activated. By manually ticking Mail box I get the msg "Choose an iCloud mail name".

Can't open files from iCloud Drive on Mac

Hi,
Can't open file from iCloud Drive on my MacBook Air (OS X 10.10.1).
I created new file (in Numbers for example). Then Numbers->File->Open->iCloud Drive->my_file.numbers and it says "Can't open file my_file.numbers".
I can preview the file by pressing Space, but openning from application and double-click on it doesn't work.
Files that were created earlear also not opened.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem? thanks.

I have spoken to apple support this afternoon and we tried the variations shown above.
Support told me to wait for a day and try again!
After the iCloud authentication problem last night I changed all my passwords I wonder if there is an SMTP problem at me.com perhaps not reading the updated passwords?
I'll try and use the old passwords later.

ICloud Driver folder will not open in Finder on click

Everything's working great for me, except for one thing:
1. I open Finder
2. I click on iCloud Driver from the left pane. Nothing happens.
To open iCloud Drive I:
1. Open Finder
2. Right-click on iCloud Drive and select "Open in New Tab". Only then do I see the contents.
Is this a known issue?

I can provide solution if you can tell me the registry value(HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\sqlwb.sql.9.0\Shell\Open\Command). I believe there is an extra %1 which is causing this.

Mac not displaying External screen as HD

MacBook Pro not properly displaying HD resolution of 1440x900 on External monitor.
MacBookPro2,2:
Intel Core 2 Duo
2.16 GHz
OS X 10.6.8
PC External Monitor:
19" widescreen
1440x900
DVi and VGA inputs
Mac connected by VGA cable and Mac adapter. Have been using this system set-up for 2+ years without an issue.
Downloaded RED Camera software (R3D) to view the camera's raw files (https://www.red.com/downloads/), after install, Mac suddenly not displaying proper high resolution on External monitor. After some searching it appeared to be an issue for others, as suggested, I deleted all traces of the software, but after hard shut down and restart(s), Mac still doesn't output the correct resolution. I know it's the Mac's issue because the External display keeps displaying a message that the computer isn't sending the right resolution out.
In System Preferences > Display Preferences, the VGA Display (the External monitor) lists a slew of resolution options, and the closest resolution to 1440x900 it lists is 1400x1050, 60 Hz, unfortunately this is a stretched aspect ratio on the External monitor, all the other resolutions are too low, are stretched or the frequency cannot be displayed.
Called Apple helpline, and the technician couldn't solve the problem.
Not comfortable with using Terminal commands.
Some have suggested using SwitchResX to create a custom resolution and force the Mac to take it, unfortunately I cannot figure out what technical specifications to enter in the custom resolution cells.

Been doing some research on this TV. In HDMI, according to the manual on p18, it will only do normal or widescreen settings. Widescreen attempts to simulate 16:9. This introduces overscan with image clipping and artifacts on this TV model. A PITA that many are reporting. I believe, that if any HDMI testing is done, it is with Windows 7 PCs, and the internal firmware on the TV is calibrated to that. The other possibility is that the EDID signal sent upstream from the HDMI port isn't being interpreted correctly by the HD4000 or OS X.
If you venture into your Advanced Video Settings from your Picture menu, do you have an underscan setting there, or is overscan/underscan tuning available from the OS X display preferences for this HDMI connection? I saw an insignia post from 2010 where the HDMI video issues were resolved by setting underscan, but it doesn't describe any more detail. This was on a 2010 Mac mini with OS X 10.6.4. No mention what graphics adapter was used. The same post indicated that the same HDMI video feed was ok, when that mini was booted into Windows 7. A far cry from your new mini with the HD4000, but just maybe about that underscan...
If you purchased this TV less than two years ago, you are still under factory warranty, unless acquired under special sales terms, that modified that warranty.
There are four HDMI ports. Same results on all of them?
Don't have this TV here, so can't offer any hands on solution knowledge, if any exists.

Why is my iCloud Drive on iMac not synced with Cloud?

The files accessible through the iCloud Drive folder on my iMac are not synced with the files in the Cloud itself. My iMac seems to have quit syncing with the Cloud, so my other devices (MacBook Air, iPhone and iPad) do not see the same versions of these files, but older ones.
Changes I make to the files on the Air and he iOS devices do not reflect in the files in the iCloud Drive folder on my iMac.
I am running all the news OS versions (OS X 10.10 and iOS 8.1).
Any suggestions how I can synch my iCloud across all devices?

My only fix seemed to be to uncheck using iCloud Drive, which is one of the options under SYSTEM PREFERENCES>ICLOUD. I had to bite the bullet when I got the warning that some files might be lost and do it anyway. Checking back in again would force the sync (although it sometimes took a while).
But, the problem reoccured a few days ago, so I got on the phone with Apple Support. Even though my computer is several years old and I don't have Apple Care, I called asking for Yosemite support and they were more than gracious. A high level tech has been working with me, and is bringing the Engineering Dept. into the issue. Seems to be something profound. They have another troubleshooting session scheduled for us later this week.
The tech also suggested the uncheck - recheck fix, but when I did so the Cloud synced the files on my computer to old versions. Not good.
So, while this problem is being worked on I've quit using iCloud Drive and have saved all the files I had there onto my iMac. If we do come up with a good fix I'll append the info to this message thread. You might give Apple Support a call and have them work on it for you.

Version 4.0.1 is not displaying pages like version 4.

Since upgrading to Firefox 4.0.1 I have seen problems with some pages displaying. I am a web designer and pages that are error free which displayed fine in version 4, and work in Chrome, Safari and versions of IE, are not display properly in the new updated version of Firefox.

Hi,
I bought this pre-made template which I would like to use for my website. When I upload it to my website and try to open the pages like "Contact us", "News", "Team members" and so on, they are not displaying in Safari and Interner Explorer, but they DO show up in Mozilla. Also, the pages I created myself do show up in all browsers. I really need to fix this problem as I already put a lot of effort to create my web site and now it is not working online. 3 questions: 1) I am unable on my Mac Book Pro to enable iCloud Photo sharing in iPhoto preferences, why not? I cannot see my iCloud drive contents.Why not?

Having a Macbook Pro i have taken and loaded in 569 photos from my cameras and want to share using iCloud. But I simply cannot get iPhoto to enable iCloud photo sharing. What could be the cause? what should I try other than the instructions which I followed three times already as outlined in the FAQ section of the help function?

i am connected through my airport extreme but my mac doesnt seems to be displaying my hard drive that is hooked into the airport extreme...

it was formatted on NTFS format....i called apple support was able to find out that AE don't support all this except mac formatted hdd..
