ICloud duplicates in calendars and contacts

When I first synced iCloud with my pc and ipad2, all of my calendar entries were duplicated. I just got an iphone4s. I've already synced it with my outlook if I use iCloud is it going to duplicate everything again? And if so, is there a way of preventing that from happening?

As I mentioned, nobody from Apple is here, so no matter how many times you ask, you will not get an answer from somebody at Apple.
I can answer your questions:
1) The master data is stored on the iCloud server. Each computer and iOS device subscribes to this data from the server. Each subscribed device/computer pulls the master data down from the iCloud server.
2) Changes you make on a computer or iOS device are pushed to the iCloud server over the Internet, and then the iCloud server pushes those changes to all other connected devices/computers next time they connect to the server.
3) If you make changes offline, those changes will be pushed to the iCloud server the next time you are online. The most recent changes are pushed to all subscribed devices/computers the next time they connect.
As an online service, iCloud requires an Internet connection to work at all. If you frequently make changes to your data on multiple devices whilst offline, obviously it is not going to sync back to the server and to other devices until they all connect to the Internet. The server then has to determine which data is the newest to push to all other devices.
If you are frequently offline, an Internet-based sync service possibly isn't the best choice for your needs.
You ignored my question about whether you are also attempting to sync contacts and calendars via iTunes. This will cause duplicated data. If using iCloud, you should turn off the syncing of contacts and calendars via iTunes.

I had iCloud installed, and it was working, then I wanted to increase font size in the notes section of Calendar. I read to uninstall iCloud and reinstall iCloud and it would be fixed.

On his phone, sign in Settings>iCloud and enable Mail so that he can have his own email address. Then add your account in Settings>Mail, Contacts & Calendars and enable Contacts and Calendars. They will then appear on his phone alongside any syncing he has set up. This will keep your emails separate, or you can add Mail as well so that you can both access that if you want. You can add his account in the same way on your phone and enable any data types you want to sync.

How to use Icloud calendar and contacts with calendar server

I have a small network setup using a mountain lion server and a couple of mac mini's running snow leopard. In addition I have several iphones and ipads attached to the network.
I want to syn calendars and contacts accross all devices but dont want to use icloud for the private stuff. I have the basics working but can not get the general icloud contacts and appointments to sync on the mac mini's. Is there a way to sync this data or do I have to duplicate each appointment , one to icloud the other to the server address book and calendar.
I know that there is a way to sync snow leopard with icloud but I do not want all data on I could as some of it is sensative, so require to keep it internal.
Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure I have explained myself properly, I already have the server set up and have a local calendar and address book working.
The issue I am having is how to integrate it with the icloud address book and appointments.
for example,
I have an appointment at 10.30 with a client, I need to have this show up on all mobile devices and the local network mini's. As it stands I have to put it in twice, once in the icloud calendar and once in the local network calendar. I would like to be able just to add it once and it show on all clients.

If you remeber the password to that Apple ID then follow these steps
1 - Make sure you have an email address that is NOT an Apple ID
2 - Go to AppleID.Apple.com
3 - Where it reads Manage Apple ID - Sign in
Once you are signed in want to make sure the email address you are wanting to use is NOT set up as a "Recovery/Rescue" email for this account.
[To check this - Main page where you see Primary ID - below do you see the email address you want to use listed towards the bottom? Yes - Delete / No - Good ./. If made any adjustments "Save" Next on the left select "Password & Security" - Answer your security questions you set up "if you have any" then scroll towards the bottom and check to see if you see the email address you want to use. Yes - Delete / No - Good] <-> Also you can change your password on this page as well. Any adjustments made "Save"
Once this is done go back to the main page where you should read "Primary ID" and change the email address that is showing to the new email address youo want. "Save" Done

You don't need a computer to activate a new iOS device anymore. Anything with iOS 5 can be activated over a WiFi network (or cellular if that applies).

On iOS devices tap Settings > iCloud
Make sure Mail is swtiched ON.

HT3748 since upgrading to Mountain Lion, my Mac Mail no longer works well w/exchange email; so, I have had to switch back to outlook. Now, how can I use outlook for mac's calendar and contacts with icloud?

Since uprgading to Mountain Lion, my mac mail no longer works with my exchange email properly. I finally gave up and moved back to outlook for mac, but now my new issue is using outlook calendar and contacts with icloud; possible?

Sorry but I'm really not to sure what I have. I'm not good with knowing my computer model. All I know is that its a MacBook running with Leopard. I got my computer last year so I suppose its fairly new. Is there a place on my computer where I can check to see what it is (sorry to be so dumb with my own mac)
And everything else works fine. I love Safari. It's just my mail that doesn't work. Here's the message that pop up several times.
"The MobileMe IMAP server “mail.mac.com” rejected the password for user “akcastaldo”
Please re-enter your password, or cancel."
The only problem here is, even though I enter my password it doesn't do anything. It makes that message go away for about 3-5 mins. After that it pops right back up. And I can't even go into my preference and change my email password. So I don't know what to do.

Getting rid of duplicate calendars and contacts.

I made the mistake of syncing my iPhone while I also had MobileMe sync running. As a result I have calendar and contact duplicates of my Mac and of MobileMe account. I want to get rid of my Mac info and just use the MobileMe sync info. From here on out I will only use MobileMe to sync my iPhone. Does anyone know how to easily get rid of this other set of calendar and contact Mac info?

Probably the easiest way would be to delete the MobileMe account and then re-add it - you should then be prompted to either keep the data on the iPhone, or delete it.
