ICloud Email Change, Nothing will work.

Here is the issue:
I am trying to restore my iPhone to a previous backup. It will not let me because "Find My iPhone" is on. I cannot turn it off because in iCloud, it is signed in with an account that basically doesn't exist. I changed my Apple ID email to a new email, and for some reason, on iCloud, it is still my old email. I cannot do anything with iCloud because I need to sign in to my account with an email that no longer exists, which means that the password I have had forever doesn't work, because THE ACCOUNT DOESN'T EXCIST! I cannot delete the account, because to do that you need to log in, and again, the log in is with an email that doesn't exsist. I also really need to restore to a back up. I use iPhone 5.

If the old ID is yours, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Phone stuck in Recovery mode, nothing will work!

I recently lost my phone, so I used the find my Iphone app on icloud. I had locked my phone from there. Once I found my phone I unlocked it with my password then it immediatly went to the recovery screen where it tells you to plug into itunes. I thought that it was just because of the find my iphone app. But I have tried recovering it more than 10 times. I updated my itunes restarted my computer changed USB hubs and tried DFU mode. Nothing will work! I can get it to open up my actual phone but when it is in this mode the home button does not work, and if I hook it up to my computer it goes back to the recovery screen. I really need to fix this and would prefer that it didn't cost me any money.
    What can I do????

Plug your iPhone into your computer and go to the iTunes window. You iPhone should appear immediately on the sidebar, press on it and you should be on your Summary page (where it has information on your iPhone's name, Serial Number/Code..etc), there should be a Restore button, press on the restore button and your iPhone should start restoring to where it was before (if you backed your iPhone up before, that is). Hope this helped and hope you get your iPhone back to normal

Please see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 for further info.  It sounds like you are already in Recovery mode so if the image in Step 4 is the one you see, skip to Step 5.

Your answer is likely in Target Display Mode: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Apple Support If you are familiar with this document, please re-read it and I suspect you may find something you either missed or are doing incorrectly.

  • My mac is coming up with a white page with a picture of a file in the middle with a ? mark in and keeps flashing nothing will work ?

    Hi
My daughter has a apple mac laptop.  It is coming up with a white page with a file picture with a ? mark in the middle of it.  It keeps flashing.  Nothing will work now and we car'nt seem to work it out.  Does anyone have any answers ?

That folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the Operating System data on the hard drive is somehow corrupted.
Put your install DVD into the optical drive and reboot. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option key until the Install Disk shows up). That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Just press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead.

    Tried these?
    My iPod won't turn on.
    iPod battery doesn't charge.
    My iPod won't wake up.
However, with a one day old iPod, you should be returning it for an exchange.

If you are getting the blank app update screen, many, many people are having this problem over the last couple of days. It is a problem that Apple must fix now.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
    1. Go to App Store
    2. Select Purchased
    3. Select All
    4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
    5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.

in Windows/system32/macromed/flash is a text document called FlashInstall.
This means that Flash Player is not installed - the required files should be in this folder.
Download this installer http://www.adobe.com/go/full_flashplayer_win_ie; save it to disk (e.g. your Desktop), then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.
What do you now have in that folder?
Is Flash Player now enabled, and is it working?  (Check it here http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/)

  • Hi! i went to go slide the thing to unlock my iphone 4 and it wouldnt slide, it froze up and everything is not working. i tried plugging it in but it is still frozen and nothing will work. how do i fix this?

hi! i went to go slide the thing to unlock my iphone 4 and it wouldnt slide, it froze up and everything is not working. i tried plugging it in but it is still frozen and nothing will work. how do i fix this?

My recommendation is to restart the iPhone.  All you do is hold down the top button and hold down the home button for 5 seconds untill it automatically shuts down.  Then click the top button untill you see a grey apple on your screen.

  • My Ipod screen in black and nothing will work

Its a 3rd gen ipod nano. I just took it off the charger and was watching a podcast, I then left it on the table for a second and when I cam back the screen was black.I tried to restart it but I won't work. I went on the apple site and did the 5r's, but nothing will work. The computer wont even pick up that I plugged something in it.
I don't have itunes 8.2, can that be the issue? I did try to instal it, but near the end it told me I didn't have permission for something and aborted?
Any ideas on what I can try to do to fix it? My warranties is up, and I rather not shell out the money for a new one

I have the same problem only with the 4g nano

  • I have a white screen with an apple and nothing will work?

Turned my mac on and have a plain screen with an apple logo. Nothing will work?

    Hi,
Some kernel extension or driver isn't loading properly, it seems. Try booting in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key down on startup until you reach the grey Apple backdrop with the spinning cogwheel and a progress bar. As soon as the progress bar shows up, you can let go of the Shift key.
Booting in Safe Mode takes a lo-ooong time, so be patient and don't interrupt (the computer booting, not me talking...). Once you've reached a workable Desktop, reboot in normal mode and tell us if it solved your problem.

  • Will adding an iCloud email change my Apple ID?

    1. I have an Apple ID using a [email protected] address, not a @mac or @me email.
    2. To get push email, I need to assign a @me.com email to it. I want to do this. I have a big fear though. And that is...
    3. If I assign a new @me.com (for iCloud push) email to my existing Apple ID, will that new @me.com become the new Apple ID, replacing the current
    [email protected] ?
    4. I do NOT want my Apple ID to change to be a @me.com email. I just want to add an @me.com email so I can use push, but I do NOT want it to replace my exisitng Apple ID.
    Thx.

You can't add an existing @me.com address to an Apple ID because it already is an apple ID.
If you sign into System Preferences>iCloud with your mydomain ID you will be asked to create an @me.com address; this will become the iCloud account's email address but will not change the login ID.

  • Since I created an iCloud email account, nothing on my ipad2 syncs with iCloud on my PC and all of my prior information has disappeared from my gmail, notes, calendar, etc. Any ideas?

Why is it that since I created an iCloud email account (my default email client is gmail), nothing on my iPad2 syncs with iCloud on my PC? Also, all prior content in Notes, Contacts, Mail, Calendar, etc. has disappeared.

Okay, I see from the control panel for iCloud in Explorer that now I have to use Outlook as my mail client for Calendar, Mail and Notes. Why? Gmail is my client and everything used to work fine until I had to get that @icloud.com account.
Also, I see I have to use Explorer as my browser if I want to sync Bookmarks. What's wrong with Firefox?
Outlook is the only supported Mail/Contacts and Calendars client on a PC.
And once more, Gmail has no connection with iCloud, you can continu using Gmail on the web or in Mail
Why not say what you expect to happen and I'll tell you if it will.
