ICloud email won't download to Outlook
I just got Outlook 2016 on my desktop (beta) and added my other email accounts. My iCloud .mac address shows on the list of accounts under preferences, with the green radio button indicating 'all good', but there is no corresponding email box or emails showing. I could swear they were there earlier in the week....
I am running the latest of everything on a late 2013 13" rMBP.
Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope Index
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

iCloud email won't work after upgrade to Mountain Lion. Says pop 3 server is timing out. Solutions?
I'm sorry, as I keep saying... in MAIL I get the message that it cannot cannot to server!? Did you read the initial problem at all! I know exactly where mail is, although, the diagram was wonderful.
My problem is TWO FOLD.
The MAIL app doesn't work with iCloud but does work with my POP3 email for my office.
Second problem is the iCloud on Safari doesn't work as I get the error message as the screenshot above.
There is NO reason why the @me.com email shouldn't work through the iCloud site, as you can see, there is a also a Mail icon. -

After latest OS update mountain lion 2.8.3 and just about the same time as hotmail turn into outlook( last email was from 3/22), my mail won't download any live and hotmail emails, it can still send emails and I've check the connections using connection doctor, and it said no problem with all the connections.
can someone help me with this?? this is frustrating!

My iCloud email won't sent from OS X Mail
Hey all,
I'm using the latest version of Mountain Lion. I recently tried to see if I could switch from using my MobileMe email address in OS X Mail to using my iCloud email address. iCloud seems to work on my iPad and iPhone... but everytime I try from Mail, the messages won't send. I click send and they just come back to me after a while, asking me to pick a different outbound server. Interestingly, the messages WILL send when I try to send via my MobileMe account.
Should I be using some sort of different server setting for the iCloud email?

There is no MobileMe anymore, you may have labelling problems.
In iCloud control panel deactivate Mail, then if you are still signed into Mobile Me, sign out.
Reactivate Mail in the control panel. -
After updating my OS to Maverick I no longer can get my icloud email to work. Do I need to change the address to [email protected]?
Try going to System Preferences>iCloud, uncheck Mail, restart your Mac, then go back and check Mail again.

ICloud email won't connect to the server
icloud email does not work on my iPhone. It worked for a day or two, but now I get an error message that says "cannot get mail, connection to the server failed." I have deleted the account and reinstalled it to no avail. Any suggestions?
Thank youSame here. I began getting the "cannot get mail ... Incorrect password" alert on both my iPhone 4s and iPad (3) about two days ago. Oddly, it will retrieve mail at random times, though yesterday it had not populated my phone for 22 hours, despite getting mail on my Mac. I've also noticed it no longer marks mail that ihas been read, consistently across all three.
On both the iPad and iPhone I've gone into mail settings, clicked on the account tab, but then done nothing, and then watched it get mail. Something is definitely amiss with iCloud at this point. -
Icloud events won't show on outlook main page
I have done the sync process,with Outlook (first)..then added iCloud panel, signed in, it merged my Contacts and Calendars...and now they calendar won'tshow on the main page of my Outlook 2007.
Tried on phone with APPLE nobody seems to know why, is there a glitch?

see photo, normally on this main PST page you'd see the list of up to 7 days of events/appointments listed on left - but nothing appears.

Select Login Options (just above the lock)
Change the selection near the top from 'list of users' to 'name and password'
That will give you two blank fields on the login window instead of showing your name. -
ICloud email with Mozilla Thunderbird or Outlook 2011
Ever since I migrated to iCloud I haven't been able to get my email to work in Mozilla Thunderbird. I've tried Outlook 2011 as well, which seems to work fine on my macbook, but not on my other mac or even my windows VMs. The account won't work in Thunderbird on my macbook either.
I've tried just about everything. I've tried deleting my old profile in Thunderbird and starting from scratch, I've tried different servers (Mail.app says I'm on p99-imap.mail.me.com), different ports, usernames, etc. I've even tried changing my password, but all that's resulted in is my Apple Account password changing but my iCloud password didn't (no idea how this happened).
I'm getting really frustrated. My whole contact list is in Thunderbird, and I really don't like how Mail.app works.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.yep, been there and done that. thanks for the bump tho

No verizon email downloading to MS Outlook and cant send out emails on my cell phone (Verizon network)? When will this be corrected?

Go to Solution.No, the issue resolved itself. This happens every once in a while and lasts for 30 min to an hour , then it works again. I get that strange error code message from Outlook Express with the 0x000 etc. No one knows why. Just one of those things you have to deal with. Next time i wont waste time calling and sitting on hold for hours and hours. Not worth it.

My email address attached to my Apple id in iCloud won't work
Way to go Apple. Switch everyone over from MobileMe to iCloud and pffft email no longer works. I'm getting the same thing that the password is incorrect. The real problem seems to be that their mail servers can't handle the load. When I try to log into iCloud in Safari, Mail does not load and there is an option to report the problem to Apple. I cannot get my iCloud email account set up in Outlook 2013. I have Windows 7 also.
I cannot add my @icloud.com email account to my Outlook 2013 - How do I do that? Online support says the account will be listed and it is not. Also, I have installed the iCloud Control Panel, etc. What do I do?
Apple suggests trying the following (from http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4002):
If you already signed in to the iCloud Control Panel without setting up your email address using one of the devices above, close and reopen the iCloud Control Panel twice. If that doesn't help, sign out and back in to the iCloud Control Panel. -
ICloud email won't send messages
I've been having trouble for two days sending out emails. I can receive them, but not send.
I use icloud (.me) for my email service. Never had this problem quite like this before.
I've rebooted my mac, ran the disk utility and all that.
I signed out of iCloud and signed back in.
Now I'm no longer receiving the error message I was, but the emails just won't go.
Ideas?
here's the error message I was receiving prior to rebooting everything/disk utility and signing out and back into iCloud:
Connections to the server “p04-smtp.mail.me.com” on the default ports timed out.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.

iCloud on my PC will receive email but when I send an email it goes to the outbox and I get a message that says "unable to sync" so the message never sends! Why? How can I fix this?
If you are syncing Mail,Contacts,Calendars and Tasks with Outlook 2007 or 2010, try going to the iCloud control panel for Windows, unchecking this setting, then restart your PC and go back and check it again.

I will buy the T440p. I really want to use Arch on it. But I am not sure if the harware compomponents are well supported. Has anybody ever used Arch on a machine like that? I am not an expert in linux' driver support stuff. So it would be pretty nice
