ICloud email won't send
iCloud on my PC will receive email but when I send an email it goes to the outbox and I get a message that says "unable to sync" so the message never sends! Why? How can I fix this?
If you are syncing Mail,Contacts,Calendars and Tasks with Outlook 2007 or 2010, try going to the iCloud control panel for Windows, unchecking this setting, then restart your PC and go back and check it again.

ICloud email won't send (it tries to send and then freezes, send button grayed out)
I can recieve email just fine. I can draft an email just fine. But it won't send. When I hit the send button, the email window goes away and a message box appears and disappears so fast I can't read it. The email window reapears with the "send" button grayed out. Once this happens, I can't close the email window. I have to quit mail. When I open mail back up, the email will still be there and I can close it. The send button is no longer grayed out, but if I hit send, the same thing happens (i.e., screen flashes and the send button is grayed out).
I've tried deleting the acouunt and reforming it. Didn't help. I checked to see that my outgoing server is "iCloud" and that it send on port 993 and the SSL check box is checked.
Any ideas?I'm having the exact same problem on one of my Macs but no the other.

ICloud email won't send messages
I've been having trouble for two days sending out emails. I can receive them, but not send.
I use icloud (.me) for my email service. Never had this problem quite like this before.
I've rebooted my mac, ran the disk utility and all that.
I signed out of iCloud and signed back in.
Now I'm no longer receiving the error message I was, but the emails just won't go.
Ideas?
here's the error message I was receiving prior to rebooting everything/disk utility and signing out and back into iCloud:
Connections to the server “p04-smtp.mail.me.com” on the default ports timed out.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.

account type: iCloud IMAP Connection and login to server succeeded

I am not able to varify my account to complete iCloud installation because the Resend Varification email won't send to my email. What can I do?

Emails won't send from any account
Hi all,
Had a problem for an unknown period of time now where emails won't send from Mail on the iPad. I had a couple of people ask me why I hadn't responded and after saying I had, they told me they hadn't received anything. I checked my sent box and the emails hadn't been sent.
I thought it was just with iCloud.
I have just tested it with another iCloud account and also my Gmail account and none of them will send an email. All work perfectly on my iMac - and Gmail works perfectly on my phone.
The strange thing is that I get the sent noise as soon as I hit sent, which is why there's been confusion. It doesn't sit in drafts or fail to send. There's no error. As far as you can tell it does sent - but it's never in the sent items/outbox and never received the other end.
Any ideas? Such a frustrating problem that I've never, ever had before.

Ste.Oddly, the test email sent from my Gmail account on my iPad has just appeared (after a five minute or so delay).
The email however, is still not inside the sent folder - there's still no record of it having been sent.
Problem persists in full for iCloud - nothing sending from iPad and being received by the recipient. -
Emails won't send from Hotmail account on iphone as message says password is incorrect
I recently had a problem with my hotmail account which meant it was blocked and I had to go through a securitiy process to unblock my account and change my password. I can now use my hotmail account again and changed the password on my phone settings to be able to use this account on my phone again. However, when I try to send emails from my iphone from my hotmail account, it says my password is incorrect and the emails won't send. I am also not convinced that I am receiving all emails, although some came through when I initially re-added the account. I have tried to delete the account and add it again, as well as restart my iphone, but I am still having the same problem. The password I have for the account is correct! I would be so grateful if anyone could help.
Thanks.For anyone else having this problem I have found a solution! You need to change the outgoing server settings as well as the incoming server password which appears on the main settings page. Go into the account in settings and select the box under outgoing mail server. Click on the box under primary server. This will take you to the settings, including the password which you can change.

Just as above - the emailer won't send emails although it does receive them This has only happened since I installed Yosemite a few days ago.

My email won't send as when it was set up an extra letter was accidentally inserted in the address. I need to know how to remove the entire email address and start a fresh.
Launch Mail.app, select Mail > Preferences... > Accounts and select the account you need to edit in the left column.
The receiving information will be displayed for the selected Account, with a pop-up selector for the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) toward the bottom. That selector shows which mail server will be used with this account; to send mail.
Click and hold on that selector, and scroll down (holding the mouse or trackpad clicked) to Edit Mail Server List... and you'll get a sheet dropping down with the mail servers listed.
Select the problematic mail server, and edit it using the Account Information and Advanced items on that sheet. -

I'm sorry, as I keep saying... in MAIL I get the message that it cannot cannot to server!? Did you read the initial problem at all! I know exactly where mail is, although, the diagram was wonderful.
My problem is TWO FOLD.
The MAIL app doesn't work with iCloud but does work with my POP3 email for my office.
Second problem is the iCloud on Safari doesn't work as I get the error message as the screenshot above.
There is NO reason why the @me.com email shouldn't work through the iCloud site, as you can see, there is a also a Mail icon. -
ICloud verrification email won't send
I've tried resending my email verification to my email countless of times. And it wont send and I've check spam,junk,and trash too. It's the right email address but i cant verify my iCloud cause the email wont send. Help!!
Don't know if it's related, but Apple was having some problems with iCloud email accounts earlier today. The only other thought is that you might want to contact your email provider to see if they are blocking email from [email protected] Otherwise you'll either have to try again later or contact Apple support for further assistance.

I have an Imacand Cox Cable. For some reason, recently, I cannot send email from my Icloud account, on;y receive. It says it is not connecting with my smtp.me.com account, but I haven't changed that from when it was working a few days ago. Any suggestions?
You should check that your settings (both directions) match this:

Your signature says you have 10.6.8 - is this correct? If you migrated from MobileMe using this your mail settings won't be correct and you will need to follow this procedure to re-enter them:

My iCloud email won't sent from OS X Mail
Hey all,
I'm using the latest version of Mountain Lion. I recently tried to see if I could switch from using my MobileMe email address in OS X Mail to using my iCloud email address. iCloud seems to work on my iPad and iPhone... but everytime I try from Mail, the messages won't send. I click send and they just come back to me after a while, asking me to pick a different outbound server. Interestingly, the messages WILL send when I try to send via my MobileMe account.
Should I be using some sort of different server setting for the iCloud email?

There is no MobileMe anymore, you may have labelling problems.
In iCloud control panel deactivate Mail, then if you are still signed into Mobile Me, sign out.
Reactivate Mail in the control panel.
