Icloud emails reply to another address?

Hi
So I've tried everything I can think of and searched google for answers, when I send an email from my icloud.com email address to someone they reply to my yahoo.com address (which is my apple ID) is this a default or is this how it works?
If I send to someone and they hit reply it sends it to my yahoo.com but I want people to hit reply and it comes back to my icloud because it syncs across all my devices.
Any ideas?

Strange,  I have a "Send from"  drop down box from which I can choose the address that email composed in icloud.com (not in an email client on a mac or other device) uses as the return address.
The Preferences (from the cog wheel) have a number of tabs, one is "Composing", and iinside that is a Composing section that is what you have listed above, but below that section is the "Send From" section that includes the Send from drop down box.  There's also a third section for Signature.
If you don't have these choices, then this is unusual.

  • I want to set up 'direct replies to' for all my emails(not just one) to reply to another address in Office Professional Plus 2010

I went to File,  Info,  Account Settings, Account Settings, E-mail tab lists 'Microsoft Exchange Server', if I click on that and go to Change Folder, I get a pop up message advising me not to select this option, if I carry on I get a pop up to
set up New E-mail delivery location but I cannot do anything here.
I have also tried the change option but there are no email options here either.
It is a company set up, just wondering if it's at all possible to do what I want to achieve under these circumstances, any light on this much appreciated.
Other way around this is to default the 'From to' field to the email address where the replies are always required, can this be done? I know you can select the 'From to' from a list but this should not be necessary.
    Thanks

    Hi,
According to your description, you'd like to achieve that, all your emails which you would receive will go to find another address.
If yes, we can depend on Outlook rule or transport rule.
    Outlook rule:
    Transport rule:
    The recipient is(http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd638183(v=exchg.150).aspx )
    Redirect the message to(http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998315(v=exchg.150).aspx )
If I misunderstand your meaning, please feel free to let me know.

  • HT201320 How do I change my icloud email account to different address?

After I created an account. I want to change to a muck easier name.

Unless you have a specific reason to share an account for iCloud, you are generally better using seperate ID's. This doesn't stop you using a shared ID for iTunes so that you can continue to use your shared content.
However, there is also no reason you shouldn't be able to update your ID details on your husbands phone if you do decide to share an ID for iCloud.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

  • Can I move my iCloud email address to a new Apple ID?

    Hi,
My wife and I have just recently bought iPhones. I've had an iMac for years and an iPad for a couple of years now, so we now have the multiple users/devices issue, or conundrum if you like.
I had an iTunes account since I've had my iMac so all purchases are made on that, so we want to be able to share that account for that purpose. I never did setup another Apple ID for myself though, so I've actually been using email on that main account.
My wife now has her own Apple ID as she has her own contacts and calendars, etc, but we do share some info.
So, now I need a better way of doing this and I think I know what to do; setup my own Apple ID/iCloud so we both then have our own personal accounts and then use the main iTunes account for purchases.
    However, I have some questions;
I'd like to keep the old email address. Can I transfer that over to my new, personal Apple ID and use it for my iCloud email? *really want to know about this*
Contacts and calendars; I guess they can be exported and imported into the new account, yes? I know calendars can be shared so if we need to we can do that, but how do you share a group of contacts? If we maintain, on the main account, a group of shared contacts that will work fine; we can both access them and edit them, but how do we add new contacts to that group from our iPhones? I believe you can't add a contact to a group on the iPhone? Is there a workaround for that?
Or is there a better way that I'm missing?
    Thanking you in advance
    Lee

    Hi, thanks for your reply.
You can't transfer your iCloud email account to another ID.  You could create a new iCloud account and still add your existing iCloud account as a secondary account on your phone (in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud) but the email on that account would be restricted to fetch.  (Push email is only supported in the primary account).  If you want to maintain your curent iCloud email account as push, you might want to keep the current iCloud account for yourself and just set up a new iCloud account for your wife.
I'm slightly confused. My current email address is currently tied to my main iTunes Apple ID. I was going to setup a new iCloud account (that's the same as an Apple ID isn't it?) and use that for my mail. I can't use my current one as a secondary cos photo stream won't then be available.

  • My replies to emails sent to me at one address are set to respnd from another address!!

Is there a way to remedy that.  When I get messages at my default address and hit reply my blackberry sends the reply from another address different from the receiving address!!!  Weird!!

Tools menu (Alt_T) > Account settings > Return receipts for the "per account" settings and a link to the global setting. If however your using Microsoft Exchange or another corporate mail server you may have no choice in the matter. The server over rides local settings, and adjustment required the server admin to make changes.

  • ICloud email has been down since 6:10pm

No iCloud email since 6:10pm September 10th.
If I set up an auto response to use my alternate email or forward mac mail to another address
will this help until they work it out?
Definitely unhappy I'm paying Apple for premium experience and getting no answers from support.
Hoping they figure it out today.  This is now affecting my income.

I've noticed this as well since about 10:30 EST.  I used to have emails forwarding from another address and when I switched that off the other address is receiving emails instantly so it's definitely a problem on Apple's end.  It's good to see that at least one other person is reporting the problem here, but it would be even better if Apple would update the status page.  I can be very patient if I know it's a known issue for them, but hate seeing that all is up and running normally from their point of view when it isn't.

  • My iCloud email does not sync to all my devices

My iCloud email (yes an @me address) does not sync to all my devices. My phone and mac sync perfectly, but my iPad never updates.  If I have my mac and phone on the mail program and I archive an email it works instantly on both devices.  However my iPad seems to be in the stone age. Even though I've archived all my mail and my inbox is empty on both my mac and phone my iPad still has a notification for 28 new emails going back to last week.  Its like my iPad is completely seperate.

Like I said its seemless between my phone and mac. I can archive on my phone and it will immediately disappear from my iMac and vice versa.  Its odd that it works on one iOS device and not another... And when I say my emails don't archive on my iPad I mean it shows the last 50 emails (because of my settings) from my inbox like I haven't already archived them already. So I have emails on my iPad from 9 days ago =\

  • My email gives 2 sender addresses, it always automatically goes to the one i don't want as my email address, i try to remember to change it. how do i change it to automatically come up with the one I want

my icloud email gives 2 sender addresses, (icloud.com and me.com) it always automatically goes to the one i don't want (icloud.com) as my email address, i try to remember to change it to (me.com). how do i change it to automatically come up with the one I want (me.com)

  • Can I use an iCloud email address that's been deleted from another account?

There was one house account, mine, which is an old @mac.com address from way back in the iTools days.
I made a couple email aliases for my daughter when she was younger to use for school.
Now, she has her own iPhone.  I gave her another email address (hername @ att . net) so we could register her own Apple ID, and get the confirmation/activation email.
    With me so far?
So now, in order to use the Apple bells & whistles, you need an iCloud email.  When I try to create one, it says that both the @icloud.com addresses I tried are already in use.  (Trust me, they're unique to us.)
I made sure to delete the aliases from my main account, but I still can't use them.
My question is:  How long will it take to release those deleted aliases for use again?  If at all.
Off topic:  What happened to our old Support Communities login ID?  I had to use my Apple ID and now I look like a first-timer.  Is there a way to merge the old account into this one?

I don't think that's possible.  As mentioned here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a, "Aliases are not transferable. Only the iCloud account that created the alias can use it.  Once you create an alias it cannot be made into its own account."
Not sure about your second question.  You might want to post it over in the Using Apple Support Communities forum: https://discussions.apple.com/community/using_apple_support_communities?view=dis cussions.

  • I receive a message to sign in to iCloud when replying to a message from another email account

I receive a message to sign in to iCloud when replying to a message from another email account

Does that happen all the time? I just got the same message when trying to open an email in one of my mail accounts and I don't even have iCloud mail, but I was in the process of setting up a brand new iPad Air 2 and I just assumed that it is a security feature that randomly popped up because it was a new device. I do think that I recall that occurring in the past though, and I assume it's simply a security feature.

  • HT201342 icloud email address in use by another person

Hello, what do I do if Apple has assigned my icloud email address, after I have setup mine,  to another person as well. So that I am in effect getting their Facebook messages to my icloud account

It may be then that your dhcp server has your MBP's MAC address associated with an IP address with long lease time.
I would suggest you flush the dhcp table on your router.

  • I am trying to forward certain email I get to my icloud email to another email address. I have added the unwanted senders email to rules and included where i would like the email to be forwarded

I am trying to forward a certain email I get to my icloud email to another email address. I have added the unwanted senders email to rules and included where i would like the email to be forwarded, however it doens't seem to be working as i also added a second rule for testing purposes with my other hotmail account
    any help would be great

new account are created without a password, so asking for it is normal.
    see http://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.au/2011/07/pssswords.html
Compare the passwords Thunderbird has for the other accounts and see if using the same one is what you need to do.

  • I have an email address that was used on one Appleid account and I have now created a separate Appleid for another device. Is it possible to transfer that icloud email address to the new Appleid account?

I had multiple iPhones and iPads associated with the same apple account and I have now created a separate account for two of them.  The question that I have is whether there is a way to transfer the icloud email address to the new account?

Welcome to the Apple community 1960gmd.
Once an iCloud address is used for an Apple ID, you can't use it for any other.
Why would you want to use another Apple ID if you already have the address you want to use in another.
If you want your email on all devices but use a different ID for iCloud add it as a secondary account at settings > mail, contacts, calendars and just enable mail.

  • How do I setup another iCloud email address

i do I setup another icloud email address??

Each iCloud account only has a single associated email account.  You can create additional alias addresses that will receive email in your existing account inbox, but it's still the same account.  This explaines how to add an email alias: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a.
If you need to create a new iCloud email account you will need to create a second ("secondary") iCloud account on your Mac by going to System Preferences>Internet Accounts>iCloud, sign in with a separate Apple ID, then check Mail in this account.

  • Error when replying to iCloud email address

Has anyone else had a problem with others not being able to reply to emails sent from an iCloud email address?  I have had multiple businesses call and tell me that they are unable to respond to my iCloud emails and get the mail delivery failure notice when they try to reply.  I am using my iPhone 6 to send the original email out to the businesses.  I also have two other email addresses accessed from my phone.  So when I send an email I have the choice of which email address to send from.  I have not had this issue when I use the other two email addresses.  Only my iCloud address seems to be the problem.  Any suggestions?  I have tried removing and re-settingup my iCloud email to my phone.  Also this does not seem to be an iOS version problem.  I have experienced this prior in a few other versions as well and currently have the most recent update.

Is her account IMAP or POP? Who is the provider of the domain where your address is supported?
