I don't have any icloud connection in my itunes client app on my PC. I don't see any music that I previously purchased. It was all there before upgrading to 10.5.1.42. Is icloud down?

Are the icloud servers down? I cannot backup and it comes up with an error. Also the appstore is being pretty bad. It loads an app on install gets stuck on waiting and wont carry on. Yet my friends icloud is fine, but another friends isnt. I updated today to 5.1.1. I have no problems at all and I just tried the Find iPhone app and it was successful. I have download app updates and the app store is working fine for me. There were a few discussions Earlier tonight about users not being able to activate their new iPads or restore them and they were getting messages indicating that there might be a problem with the servers.
It possible that the servers are having issues but nearly impossible to confirm.

Anyone else notice the new VIP feature? Is this why iCloud was down?

So I was without email for 3 days and now my email is back up with other problems (I won't go there) but I have a new VIP feature? Is this why iCloud was down?

Effectively Xalan is the issue, which we want to upgrade from 2.0.1 (currently being used in jdk1.3) to 2.5.1
JDK 1.4.2 contains 2.4.1 but in any case performance is detrimentally effected by upgrading.
nb. I have managed to get Xalan 2.0.1 running in Java 1.4.2 by fiddling the java.endorsed.dirs setting and have found that this produces optimal performance (another 5% increase).
This means that using the new version of Xalan with 1.4.2 is up to 20% slowerfor transformations than using version 2.0.1 (in the case of my transformations anyway).

Why icloud email down?

Why is icloud email down? My wife has been unable to check her email all day. It says affecting 1.1% of users but I know 3 other people who have the same problem.Bizarre? Never seen Apple have this long of an outage on email access. Must be security breach.

Still, this is pretty poor. I've used my apple email account for business and home use since .mac and its generally been more reliable than other services I've tried, but I can't lie, this is a difficultiy for me. I was always happy to pay for a good reliable service, so I'm hoping this isn't a sign of things to come, now that they have moved to a free to use model. Needless to say, I'm not too happy with apple right now...

I called Apple twice about iCloud being down

I called Apple for a second time this morning about my mail being down for two days. The man gave me no explanation, even after I asked for one, explaining I use this account for work and need to know when this will be repaired. I guess I asked him too many questions because he hung up on me! Wow, Apple! What is going on there? I've been a MobileMe subscriber for years before they did away with it. They wouldn't return my money last year, even after they cancelled the service two days after I re-subscribed. I definitely didn't get what I paid for and now they are treating their customers terribly. They really need to explain.

Since tuesday afternoon (9//11) I can't use e-mail on my MacBookPro and my iPhone 4S. iCloud is down, also the webmail function. My clients are sending me e-mails for work, and I don't recieve them. I'm losing clients now! I think its outrageous that it takes so long, and that it is not communicated to the Apple users.
I'm an Apple user since 12 years, and right now they wont even talk to me:-(

I just got the same thing. I did a test event on iPhone calendar and it did not sync with my other devices. Hope it's on their end.

It sounds like you are not connecting to the network. Verify you are connected to WiFi, or that you have cellular data.

ICloud mail down again?

For the last few Day's I have not been able to sign in om my mail account (me.com). when will Apple have solved it's problems?

It's down for me as of this morning. Can't access mail through icloud.com, through my iMac or through my iPad. It just spins and spins and spins. Wife is using iCloud on same internet connection - no problems. All of my devices were working fine yesterday, but today everythign is slow.
I really wish Apple would update the system status to indicate the problem. It's definitely not on my end, and I cannot use Mail at all.

HT4864 After my iCloud was down all day, now it seems to be back on but I have no new emails??!! That's impossible just based on the ads etc I get a day. I'm annoyed enough that the system was down for me for over 12 hours, but lost emails??!!

i can't check my emails. So i use on my Macbook Pro my @me.com emailadress with Apple Mail. Since 3-4 days, i can't retrieve my emails and i have exclamation mark right of the inbox, outbox and all another postboxes! When i take a click on this exclamation mark, i can read

Well, what is wrong? Apple Server down at the moment??

Open "Internet Accounts" in Preferences, click on iCloud to open your account preferences, deselect the mail option, and then reselect it a few seconds later and allow it to reset the settings and... Viola.
At least this is what worked for me.

this morning I realised that all my older contacts (4 months or older) on my iphone4 have gone.
At the same time, the icloud server seems to be down. cant connect to icloud.
Im currently located in albania.
Is there hope my contacts will come back once icloud is up and running again?

11 Sept iCloud still down

iCloud has been down all day here in Japan and there is no news as to what the problem is or when it will be solved.
