ICloud keychain asks to verify my security code...

Hi everyone!
I just switched all my info from one iPhone to another, and when I try to turn on Keychain, it asks me to enter in a four digit PIN, and then says it will send a verification code to 1(XXX)XXX-XX38, which is no longer a phone number I have. I have looked everywhere to see if any of my Apple information still has that old number listed as a way to contact me (obviously through text). Everywhere has my newest number, obviously including the phone that I'm working on. I'm not really sure where I could change this information that I don't know where is listed.
Thanks for the help!
Amanda

If you have a device or Mac that has iCloud keychain set up on it, you can change the number as follows:
In iOS 8, tap Settings > iCloud > Keychain > Advanced. In iOS 7, tap Settings > iCloud > Account > Keychain. Make sure the phone number under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
In OS X Mavericks v10.9, choose Apple () > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Make sure the phone number under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
If you don't have access to a device with your iCloud keychain set up on it, you'll have to contact Apple support to verify your identity and get help completing the setup and changing the number: http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/.

Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store, it seems. The current valid payment methods are listed here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5552
You can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they probably will tell you that it's not possible.
    http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
Using a debit card in any online service where it stores your card is a bad idea in any case since if someone gains access to your account in the service, they can quickly drain your bank account. Credit cards limit your liability, as do prepaid iTunes cards.

The "backup password" refers to a password you created when you elected to encrypt your iPhone's backup.  If you cannot remember the encryption password, you will not be able to access the backup.

  • HT4145 I'm trying to hook up a desk top and it's asking me for network security code i have a apple router

I called the help desk from the phone company they sent me to my router owner which is an apple its asking me for network security code where do ii find this

If you still have the box and instruction manual for your Apple router then pull it out.  Find the part of the manual that tells you how to do a factory reset of the router and follow the instructions to do so.  Once it restarts, then start at the beginning of the manual and follow the instructions carefully.  They will tell you how to install AirPort utility on your computer, and then how to connect to and configure the settings on the router.
When setting up your router's wireless settings, make sure to choose a network name with no spaces (e.g. "MyRouter"), choose "WPA2 Personal" security, and then type in a strong passphrase (twice).  Make your passphrase at least 10 characters and reasonably complex (e.g. "MyR0uter!sVery5ecure").
Once you have made the settings, and saved them (per the manual), then you should see your new network name show up as an available network from your computer.  Select the network, type in the wireless passphrase, and it should connect.

  • HT1918 My account is asking me for my security code on my credit card, but it will not accept the code as valid?  Not sure what to do?

I am trying to purchase an app on a new iPad we have purchased.  I'm asked to put in my security code on my credit card for security reasons, but it will not accept my code as valid.  Not sure how to proceed.

Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • I installed my credit card and it asks me for my security code. I typed it but it tells me to write a valid one and it is. How can I fix this?

    please help me

I had this same problem too, it's a little embarrassing, but make sure your credit or debit card has more than $3.00-$5.00 in the account or left in your line of credit,(ex. Make sure you haven't maxed out the credit card) if not iTunes will not accept the card at all, if this doesn't work, check with your bank to make sure that the address you have set up with them and the address you have setup in your iTunes account match, otherwise that will cause an issue with the security code as well  !!!

  • Itunes wont allow me to download any new apps with out verifying my creditcard, but I no longer have that card, due to left. So i cant verify the security code. what do i do?

You'll need to update your billing information to a current card in order to continue.
