ICloud keychain isn't recognizing new password fields

I'm trying to change a few passwords with iCloud Keychain, and on some sites its worked perfectly. However, on some other sites (facebook, netflix, and a message board I frequent) Safari doesnt seem to be recognizing the password field because the password suggestion popup isnt showing up. Is there a way to manually generate a password in safari? or to get it to recognize a "new password" field and suggest a pw? Thanks for your help

I have what may be a related issue: For some sites, keychain isn't storing passwords. Passwords that were there before I set up keychain are there when I check passwords in Safari, but new ones aren't being added.

ICloud Keychain won't use stored password -- why?

I have a problem with exactly one website -- www.fltplan.com -- that won't store play nicely with iCloud Keychain (in Safari, on Mavericks). I have a password already defined for this site in iCloud Keychain, but when I go to this site it prompts me for a new one instead of filling in the one it knows.
I used to believe it's because of how the site had named the userid and password fields, but they've renamed the fields to be "username" and "password" and the problem persists. Surely Safari could identify those? Anyway, could anyone with expertise in the area snoop out the site and say definitively what the problem is?

Safari (I'm using 7.0.2) no longer has the setting mentioned in these articles. And my problem is that it is offering to save a (new) password, rather than use the one that is already defined in iCloud Keychain.
And it never seems to recognize when the cursor is in the user name field...

HT4245 I cannot get Facetime or IMessage set up on my IPad. It isn't recognizing my password and Apple ID. I have tried changing the password a few times and it still won't accept it. Any ideas?

Settings\iCloud - Account is your Apple ID appearing here and is the place for your password full of stars. The password needs to be the password for the email account - not your Apple password.
Once you have checked this go to Icloud main page and ensure mail is on.
Go to home screen and tap on Mail App - check that you can access your mail and your .me.com email account.
The check settings\General\Restrictions and ensure facetime is On if restrictions is enabled - alternatively turn restrictions off if you wish.
Both services you require run through the cloud and need an active .me.com account to set up initially. the default account can be changed from your @me.com later if you prefer.
Also note that once iMessage is active - go to settings\iMessage and ensure your Apple id main email is listed in the Receive at Field.

Mail not recognizing new password

All right so I recently had to change the password on one of my Yahoo.com mail accounts because I could not remember the last one. I have this one linked up the mail application on my computer, however it is not recognizing the new password (yes, I'm typing it in correctly, in fact I'm just copy + pasting it). I also checked keychain and it didn't find any problems apparently when I ran first aid.
How do I get my computer to recognize my new password? This is ridiculous.

Weird thing is though is when I looked at the two (the one I had kept typed and the copied one from the saved yahoo) they were exactly the same, so I don't know why it wasn't recognizing it.

The next time you attempt to reach Skype Customer Service, try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Do not choose the obvious - you have already established that path is not working. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also impede reaching an agent.
Skype is aware of problems reaching their customer service unit via the website, however people are getting through. I have flagged your report for follow-up by those to whom I report.

ICloud won't recognize my new password on MacBook Air

I recently changed my Apple ID password. My iPad and iPhone have accepted my new password, but I cannot enter new password into iCloud in system preferences on my MacBook Air. What am I doing wrong?

Is it possible that it could not change your password in iCloud because you were not logged into iCloud at the time when you changed your Apple ID password ?
If so did you try using your old password to access the iCloud and then sync everything up and then log off and back on to iCloud and see if it recognizes your new password ?

Buying songs-iTunes isn't recognizing my password

I'm trying to buy a song on iTunes, but my password isn't being recognized. The same window keeps appearing asking me to enter my password. It is not saying it is incorrect, it just doesn't seem to be recognizing it. What could be the problem?

In Safari 8.0 (Yosemite) a prompt appears telling me to turn on iCloud Keychain to have a secure password suggested. I already have it on and all autofill boxes are enabled in Sarari. What is missing to have it suggest the password?

The way to check is to go to Control Panel and search for "iCloud". If iCloud appears (see first image below), double-click on it. This will be the iCloud control panel for Windows. If he is syncing his computer with his iCloud account it will look similar to the second image below.

Therefore you should still use your "old" (existing) iCloud mail address - you cannot change the iCloud mail address.
However you could add an alias instead to you iCloud account.

ICloud keychain not sync

My iCloud keychain doesn't sync on all my devices.
I've tried to fix my problem based on this Apple link Get help using iCloud Keychain - Apple Support before I post this question. I did turn off and on keychain on all devices many times with no luck.
The thing is I could get the first sync on any device if I approve with my security code but then it does not sync. By approving with another device, the keychain won't sync at all. With both way, my keychain won't get sync or update after the keychain is turned on.
Any idea how can I fix this problem?

ICloud keychain does not sync

For over a month now, my iCloud keychain has refused to sync. All devices say they are on, but anything entered on one device never appears on the others. I have used Apple's recommendation of turning off iCloud keychain on all my Macs and iOS devices and it still does not work. I also have reset the keychain countless times and no luck. Turning the keychain on works fine on all my devices with it requesting my other devices to approve it, but it never syncs anything. Has anyone else see this and found any way to get it to work again? This is why 1Password has nothing to worry about as I've never had an issue ever no matter what device I use and what method I choose to sync with.

How do you allow a user to create a new password?

The way i have it set up right now the users are registered by the admin and a random password is provided for them to log in. When they login they're instructed to create a new password.
They click to update their information. Included in this form is an "Old Password" field and a "New Password" field. They can choose if they want to create a new one or not. So I don't want to make it a requirement.
1 - How do I validate the old password.
2 - When they type the new password and submit the update info form. It inserts the new record over the old. But only after confirming that that old password is correct. How is this done?
Or should they just type in a new password with no validation that they know the old. ? Hm.

if the user choose a name where already exist, the error throws out, but it clears all the register fields (all the users entrys, and i have a few fields)
humm, that´s not cool -- however...
how can i prevent this?
In this case I suggest providing a separate "check username availabilty" procedure in a blank window
(or a popup window, if you prefer) which ...
a) on page 1 has a form with one "check_username" text field, and on...
b) page 2 queries the login table´s "username" column against the textfield´s value and returns "username available" when no matching records were found, respectively "username already allocated" in case of a match.
That´s something I´d do without using ADDT, means DW´s native database related functionality are absolutely sufficient for such simple stuff
