ICloud Keychain reset without security code

I set yo iCloud Keychain without problems but did not set up a security code. Later,I disabled iCloud Keychain but now want to enable it again. My contact phone is a landline without SMS capability. How can I recover and start over from scratch?

After continued research, I finally found what I think is the best article in Apple Support on this issue. It explains how to reset the iCloud Keychain. The two lessons that I learned from this were:
1. Always use your iPhone as the reference phone number so you can get the proper support from Apple (I had listed a landline)
2. Always be sure to establish your iCloud Keychain security code when you set up iCloud Keychain.

  • How do i set up iCloud keychain if the security code was sent to a device i lost

So I lost my original ipone 5 while i was overseas. I locked it and wiped out the the information using Find My iPhone. Now i have a new ipone 5C but the verifivation code is being sent to my old phone number instead of my new one. I just want to keychain all my devices, those being an ipad mini, my mac book pro and my iphone 5C. Please help!

If you need to change the phone number associated with your account (from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5834):
Devices using iOS 7.0.3 or later: Tap Settings > iCloud > Account, then tap Keychain. Check that the phone number listed under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
Macs using OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later: Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Check that the phone number listed under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.

  • Is it normal that, when you recieve an imessage, you can open the iphone without security code ?

Is it normal that, when you recieve an imessage, you can open the whole iphone without security code ? Just a small slide with the finger and you are in...

As mentioned, if you have your passcode set to "immediately" lock, then no, you should be required to enter it.  Otherwise, if the message arrives before the passcode lock initiates, then yes, it will just open up with a swipe.

  • If my phone be stolen the stealer can turn off the phone without security code. Why?

If my phone be stolen the stealer can turn off the phone without security code. Why?

Because that's the way it is designed. If you don't like it, don't purchase an iPhone, or tell Apple you don't like it:

Moderator's Note: The subject was edited as we have moved the post from an existing thread and created a new topic.

Because Nokia Software Recovery Tool does not support the Nokia-Dead-USB-Mode for neither Symbian or a Nokia Series 40 phone, you cannot bypass a screen/keylock which is protected by the security code. However, if the phone does not give that lock-screen – is booting up and your able to select the USB mode on the phone – then you are able to apply the Nokia Software Recovery Tool – which resets the security code back to its initial state (no value set or 12345).

  • ICloud Keychain Reset

I get a message that iCloud Keychain was reset every few minutes. I have to go into System Preferences and enter my iCloud Security Code. Keychain works for a few minutes. It accepts my code and shows the check mark next to Keychain. Then I get the same message a few minutes later.
No changes have been made on any of my other devices, so not sure why it's getting reset. I just checked and it is happening on multiple Macs. Keychain on iOS devices has no problem staying on.

  • ICloud Keychain - Concerned about security

I received a text message this morning that read 'Your iCloud Keychain verification code is: ******'
I had never heard of iCloud Keychain up until this point and I certainly didn't request a verification code for it. Does this mean that somebody else has requested it? I have since changed the Apple ID password. Should I be concerned for my account's security? Cheers.

I would suggest you change that AppleID password then.  If you got that message, someone using your iCloud account ID tried to set up iCloud keychain, and the message was sent to the primary number associated with that AppleID.
go to https://appleid.apple.com and change the password.
As an aside, just check your iPhone and iPad, under your iCloud account's settings, and make sure that iCloud keychain has not been somehow inadvertently enabled?

  • 603 unlocked without security code

I've security code set on my 603, but somehow my 7 year son could get through (and he doesn't know the passcode). I had put it on charging on power plug. He somehow managed to get in. When my wife notice him fiddling up with the phone, it showed up message asking whether to initiate an emergency call. She took it away from my son, only to notice that it was reset to factory settings
Not sure how it would have happened. How in the heavens could he get past security code. I've my corporate email account set and it doesn't allow to turn security code off for that reason.
I could recover from 7 day old backup. Some sms are lost and all app need to be reinstalled now. Many standard app that came in bundled didn't come back after recovering from backup.
    Can somebody explain.

    Hi sharma_hi,
    Welcome to the Nokia forum.
There is no way to get passed the security code if it's been set up on your phone. You will however still be able to make emergency phone calls to the national emergency lines. For these phone calls you are not required to enter the security code.
The only reason the phone could somehow have been reset to its factory settings, is if the securtiy code was entered correctly (which would be possible if the code is for example 12345) and the reset was initiated manually in the menu or shortcut *#7780#.
If you have lost any applications you can redownload them by going to the Nokia Store > My Stuff. If you have paid for applications and you're unable to redownload them for free, please contact your local Care line who will be able to resend your paid applications to your phone without any charge.
I would highly recommend changing your security code to make sure this doesn't happen again. It is under no condition possible to access the phone without entering the correct security code first.

  • HT1918 How can I change Credit Card information without security code?

I lost my credit card and cancelled it, so I don't have the code, and just want to use another one. iTunes won't let me change credit cards without first entering the security code of my old one, is there anything I can do?

You can change your information to a different card here:

My iPad 2 certainly does not do this with its magnetic cover.  I call BS on this -- there's no way that happens as you've described.

  • How can you reset your security codes

im trying to purchase something and it won't let me without putting in security answers but I forgot them is there any way you can reset them without a email ?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Unlocking/resetting the security code!

Today I tried to insert a sim into my old Nokia phone, it is an E52. it seems that I have left a setting on which requires security code if the sim is changed, but this phone is about 3 years old and I haven't used it for a long time so I cannot remember my security code.
The information in the phone such as SMS and phonebook is very important for me, so I don't want any solutions that resets the phone and wipes everything. the phone is not locked if I don't insert a sim, so I rather keep like this and not use it if there is no safe way to reset/change/unlock the security code. but I really need another phone right now, and I don't want to spend money if I could unlock this.
I have googled about this but I am not sure what is the safest way to unlock the phone while keeping my data. I found this website and it claims that it could unlock the phone but it doesn't look safe to me... what should I do? please help!
