ICloud Kills ALL iPhone Email Ability

Hi,
Just enabled iCloud for contacts and calendar on my iPhone 3GS yesterday (it has the latest version of iOS 5).
I also use my phone for 2 personal email accounts plus my Exchange account. With iCloud enabled, my email does not synch on ANY of my accounts. The phone seems to continually be in data send/receive mode (which, as you can imagine, drains the battery in an hour or so). If I try to turn-off iCloud contacts, the phone indicates "deleting" indefinitely--I need to perform a hard reset. When I delete the iCloud account on the phone, everything works fine. When I re-enable iCloud, the problem recurs.
Not sure what else to try. I only received an error message one time:
“VERIFICATION FAILED: The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be “setup.icloud.comn” which could put your confidential information at risk."
I am on a wi-fi network at work but experienced the same problem on my home wi-fi network.
Any suggestions? I'm really stuck here.

My wife's emails just disapeared at some point today. They're not anywhere including on icloud.com. They were all there this morning and as far as I know nothing has changed on her accounts for the last month. Not good!

Just updated my wife's iPad4 to iOS7 yesterday....
She hates it for the most part and wishes she could go back to iOS6.....
Meanwhile, the problem we need the communities help with is the following....
1. Photos
We noticed that some photos in her library seem to have disappeared.
Also, the way the photos are shown and organized in Photos is different now. So, she's not happy about that either...but not sure there's anything we can do about this now.
2. Restore From iCloud Backup
Had set iPad to make daily backups in iCloud, so, know from reading that there should be 3 backups there.
I'm thinking that most recent backup will be from after iOS7 install and the other 2 when iOS6 was installed.
So, assume that to try and get missing photos back, I should restore using one of the iOS6 backups, correct?
Also, since I have to erase iPad before restoring it, we're concerned whether or not emails will be restored in Mail. We use Earthlink for emails. So, will they be restored?
And what about emails received from others?
Went to iCloud.com and logged in to check what I could see there regarding data there. The contact info in my wife's Contacts app is there. But don't see any photos or Photo icon there. Is that typical or should I see this there? Don't want to erase her iPad and restore and then see that there's no photos on it......

It only backs up the photos on your device at the time of the backup. If you delete photos from your device and back up again, the old backup containing the deleted photos will be overwritten by one that doesn't and they will be lost. Always import your photos to your computer before deleting them: iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer.

Why did iCloud collect ALL my email accounts on Outlook 2010 [windows 7] into a single while removing all categories and emptying emails from all individual e-mail accounts? Don't they test their app? Who pays the cost to restore the Outlook program sys?

After searching everyone elses similar problems for the past year, I am sure Apple is responsible for all the 1,000's of hours of IT specialist while the correct Apple's App Disaster. Microsoft Enterprise programs should be give much better support.
Any computer company who doesn't vet their software should be held responsible.

R1: Seems you didn't configure you email account in your Outlook client properly. please refer to the following KB article and try to create a new mail profile to configure your email account again:

R2: Do you want create subfolders under Inbox to category your emails? If so, we can just right click on Inbox > select New Folder... After that, we need to create rules to move or copy your emails to each subfoler. See:

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

Syncing your device with itunes will then enable you to remove whatever photos you wish to remove from your device deleting them with the computer and not the iphone.

Erry in favour of an iphone 4s and using cloud to seamlessly sync things. I use a PC with outlook. I have a btinternet email and domain name email that I currently access through outlook. Will the icloud sync all this seamlessly

After 7.0.6 upgrade Icloud email "Cannot Connect To Server". All other email works fine.

After upgrade to 7.0.6 both IPad and iPhone now will not send or receive Icloud email while at home. Get "Cannot connect to server " message. All other email accounts (google, verizon) work fine. Plus the "last backup" information unavailable as well as icloud storage information. Says unavailable, try again later. Also cannot view body of emails sent or received in the last 2 days. I am at work now and all works normally. If this is a wifi issue, I I do not understand why all other email accounts are sending receiving ok. It's only the Icloud server that seems to be the problem.

Your notes should be stored in your backup, so if you have backed up the iPad and that backup does contain those notes that you deleted, you can try restoring from your backup. If you haven't backed up the iPad since you created those notes, they are gone.
If you backup with iCloud only, restoring from backup involves erasing the device and then going through the setup all over again and finally restoring from the iCloud backup. This article explains the process quite clearly.

If you backup with iTunes, connect the iPad to your computer, launch iTunes and right click on the device name on the left and select - Restore from Backup. But before you do that .... turn off auto sync in iTunes - without connecting the iPad - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box at the bottom of that window in order to turn off auto sync.
Email messages are not stored in your backups.
