ICloud Mail, Contacts, Calendar & Tasks setup error

I am trying to install iCloud on my PC (Windows 7 64 bit) and the installation seems to complete fine but after I restart and login and try to setup Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Tasks I get an error pop up on the screen saying the iCloud Control Panel Installation did not set up properly and that I need to repair it.  When I click on reports it shows this error:
The iCloud Control Panel did not install properly. To repair it, you need to go to Programs and Features, select iCloud from the program list and click Change. When prompted, click on Repair.  <a href="repair">Open Programs and Features…</a>
Error: 0x80004005: DataProviderRegistered
Error: 0x80004005: ZebraMapiCopySession::CanCreateZebraStore: CreateMessageService failed
Can someone please help me set this up successfully as I have been trying everything for a whole day now including repairing Outlook. There is no evidence that iCloud has been setup in Outlook before but it has previously so I know it can work together (I removed it some time ago when PhotoStream stopped updating).
Any help would be fantastic, thank you!

This drove me nuts for a week. I tried everything, uninstalling and reinstalling both Outlook and iCloud Control Panel multiple times. But today I finally fixed it and everything is syncing perfectly again! You need to shut down your PC and restart in SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING (so repeatedly hit F8 when it is booting up and select that option). Once the PC has started in this mode, open up the iCloud control panel, select the Mail, Contacts Calendars and Tasks check box, click Apply, and hopefully it should work (as it did for me)! Good luck!

  • Issue installing iCloud Mail/Contacts/Calendar

    Hi,
I recently purchased a new Computer. I tried to set up iCloud Mail, Contacts & Calendar, using the iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows. When I attempt to configure those Services in Outlook 2013, the iCloud Control Panel gives me an Error.
I know that it is working with the iCloud Control Panel 2.1, so a Download Link would solve my issue.
Error message: "Outlook does not have a default profile configured"
    Equipment:
    Microsoft Outlook 2013
    Windows 8.1
iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows
Thanks for any help in advance.

This explains how to view your Outlook profile(s), and if you have more than one profile, how to set one as your default: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/turn-on-or-off-profile-prompt-HA1 01821056.aspx.
At any rate, 2.1.3 and 3.1 are the only iCloud control panels available from Apple at this point.

  • ICloud & Mail,Contacts,& Calendars Preference Panels?

I have both an iCloud Preference Panel and a Preference Panel named Mail, Contacts, & Calendars.
Shouldn't the Mail, Contacts, & Calendars Preference Panel (which has checkboxes for Mail and Notes) have been replaced by the iCloud Preference Panel?
Could this duplication be why I can't get the Mail checkbox to stay checked in the iCloud Preference Panel?
    Thanks...

They are different. Mail, Contacts and Calendars are for other accounts (Gmail, Hotmail...)

  • In system preferences iCloud, mail contacts calendar crash

In system preferences icloud and mail, contacts, calendars crash, so I can't alter them.
Mail seems to freeze and only way to restart is force quit and then it is fine till I think it updates with iCloud again and then won't shut down again unless force quit.

    Hi lynne168,
If System Preferences or Mail are quitting unexpectedly, there are a few ways to isolate and resolve the issue.
First, I'd recommend booting your computer into safe mode:
Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1564
If the applications are working normally in safe mode, this usually means OS X is fine, and the issue is caused by conflicting software in your user account.
Next, see if your computer behaves normally in a new user accoun:
OS X Mountain Lion: Create a new user account
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11468
If the issue persists in safe mode and a new user, I would recommend reinstalling OS X:
OS X Mountain Lion: Reinstall OS X

    Best Regards,
    Jeremy

  • Error enabling "Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks with Outlook" in iCloud 3.0  Control Panel

Unable to enable option “Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks with Outlook” under iCloud 3.0  Control Panel.
Get following error when clicking checkbox to enable it under iCloud 3.0 Control Panel.
"Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile. Check your Outlook settings and try again."
    Have tried the following:
Uninstalled / reinstalled iCloud 3.0 control panel
Removed all mail accounts from Outlook 2013 except MS account
Confirmed Outlook was chosen for  “Always uses this profile” under Control Panel – Mail (MicroSoft Outlook 2013) – show profiles
Still get the same error when trying to enable the option under iCloud 3.0 Control Panel
PC is running Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
Outlook 2013 was just installed on the PC as part of new Office 2013 installation

    Two more things:
First, sorry for the bad spelling, grammar, and all of that. English isn't my first language and I'm so frustrated at this point I'm not paying any attention to it. Sorry!
Second, after trying to repair again the icloud 3.0 through the Control Panel of Windows, guess what? It made Offce to crash again! Now I will have to install it again.
    =(

  • How do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

I have three device: Macbook Pro (OSX 10.7.5) for work; an iPad and a Blackberry for mobile. I used mail, iCal, and Address Book combine with mobileme (iCloud) to exchange data such as contact, calendar and task from my Mackbook Pro to my iPad but never to Blackberry. The problem is my boss was asking me to change to Outlook 2011 for Mac because some of the email that I sent from Mail did not appear in my client's Blackberry. So how do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to Outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

How do I setup iCloud so that the Calendar & Contacts on my OUTLOOK 2010 are synced with my iPhone &iPad?

    Hey RuiEVG,
Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines troubleshooting information for using iCloud contacts on a Windows PC. It may be that your version of Outlook is not supported:
    Get help using iCloud Contacts

    Check the system requirements
Make sure that your PC meets the iCloud system requirements.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here, so I've asked the hosts to remove your email address, postal addresses and phone numbers from your post.
I'm not entirely sure what you are saying, but if those apps are crashing then have you tried toggling them 'off' and 'on' via Settings > iCloud ? And if that doesn't fix it then try closing them via the iPad's taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
You could also try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
    If it's a different problem ... ?

    how do I fix this?

Sorry, you said Gmail. If that's the case, you can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

What's wrong to my ipod touch when i have setup my mail, contact, calendar? What should i do? I can't access my yahoo mail through my ipod touch

Try deleting the Yahoo account stuff from the iPod and reenter the settings. Some users have had to reset their Yahoo password to get it to work. Many users have problems with their Yahoo account on the iPod.

  • Changing Mail, contacts, calendars name field

hello probable something simple but how do i permanently change the Name Field in the "Mail, contacts, calendars" setup.
I press details to enter my own but each time i do the name field is over-written with a previous owner or user of the mac.
Until this is complete i cannot sync contacts and calendars as i want to, using OS X Mountain LIon.

Go to System Preferences > iCloud
Sign out of the current Apple ID
    Sign in with your ID.
System Preferences > Users & Groups
    Change name for current User.
However, I HIGHLY suggest that you create a new User and move all your data to the new User or do an erase and install.
    1) Move to a new User. See directions here:
Move your data to a new User or a new Mavericks partition**
    2) Backup your data to an external drive using clone software. While booted from the clone erase the internal drive and reinstall OS X.
**(Fair disclosure: NeedHelp4Mac is my site. I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link.)
Both of these applications can be used to create a clone.
    SuperDuper! http://www.shirt-pocket.com/
    CCC http://www.bombich.com/download.html
You will need an external drive to create the clone unless your internal drive is large enough to create a second partition large enough to hold all your data.

  • Mountain Lion: can't open Mail, Contacts & Calendars preference pane

    Hi guys,
I downloaded Mountain Lion this morning and am loving it. But I'm having a problem that so far I can't find anything about here or elsewhere on the web: I cannot open the Mail, Contacts & Calendars preference pane in System Preferences. Instead I get 1 of 2 error messages. The first says simply that it couldn't load this preference pane (see attached pic), while the second says it cannot open it because this service is not available on Intel-based Macs.
The weirdest thing is that I WAS able to open this pane at least once right after downloading ML. I know that it looks the same as this setting in the Settings iOS app, and I even unchecked some of the options for my gmail and exchange email accounts (chose not to sync notes, calendars, etc. with all those accounts since I just use iCloud now).
I've tried restarting System Preferences, and my computer, multiple times... no luck. Any ideas?!?
    THANKS!
P.S.- I've got a mid-2009 MBP that meets the specifications for ML.

Unfortunately my above message does NOT solve my original Mail, Contacts and Calendars problem, which continues. Here's a pic of the other message I routinely received (below)...
Is anyone else having this problem???

  • BB 10 device will not synchronizer mail, contacts, calendar

    Hi,
I have a user (userA) who has a BB 10 device. One day it just stopped synchronizing mail, contacts, calendar items.
    Basic Troubleshooting done:
    - Re-Initialized user on Mobility 2.0.1 build 53 server, NO DICE
    - Security wipe on device, then relaoded OS with BB link desktop software, then deleted user from mobility, restarted mobility server, re-added user back to mobility server, re-added account back to BB 10 device, NO DICE
    More Thorough Troubleshooting done:
    - setup spare IOS device for userA, works! (but not ideal as this is just a wifi ipad only)
    - setup my account on the BB 10 device in question, works! (but not ideal as this is userA's device and not mine)
    - setup userA on a legacy BB 5 device, so a BES 5 server, and a BB bold. It syncs her contacts and calendar items, but not her mail items!!! Separate mobility system. =/
    - Used the dsapp to forcibly remove the userA from the mobility server's database after I have deleted the userA from the server, then restarted the mobility server, does not seen to help
    - checked userA's folder list in the "Edit Device settings" section on the Mobility server admin web page and it is empty. It should have a list of folders that you can select to sync to the device, but it is empty.
    - ran several GroupWise checks on the userA's mailbox. Contents and structure. Also did a Structural Rebuild on her GW account. Did not seem to help. And no errors of significance detected.
    Concluding thoughts:
    - I think that it is userA account that is messed up. The BB 10 device works fine with other accounts.
    - userA account works partially on a legacy BB 5 device
    - But the strange thing is that userA account works on an IOS device
    Current Mobility server:
    Mobility 2.0.1 build 53
    Current devices on Mobility server:
    216 devices (13 Androids, 15 BB 10's, 75 IOS ipads, 112 IOS iphones, 1 IOS ipod)
Please, if anyone has come across this please comment back.
I wish I could post screenshots of userA account on the mobility server, but I didn't see the option here.
    Thanks.

You've done most of the basics I would of done, a very nice and
refreshingly complete troubleshooting process you've done so far. So
the following you may have done already. I use a BB Q10 myself on two
different GMS systems and haven't had such a problem.
    - In dsapp, am assuming you've run the General Health Check (7,1) as
well has recently run a vacuum.
    - on the User's content checks, that they run error free.
    - Make sure that the user GW main folders are still where they should
be, a Contents check with resfldr in the misc area does that trick.
    - Are there any errors in the GMS logs? Not sure which on this would
end up under in /var/log/datasync/* also the POA logs when any of the
    syncs are being attempted.
    - confirmed that both the Mobility server and the POA aren't hitting
any memory, disk, or cpu limits (free -m, df -h, top)
    - Any language other than English involved? If so are languages
    consistant?
    - Anything unusual about the user's mail box? Such as Size, over large
messages, lots of messages/folders, a recent name/id change
after that I'd be looking at the new GMS 2.1 that is finally available,
    and then opening an SR.
