ICloud mails not pushing anymore

Hi everyone!
in the last weeks i've had problems with the icloud push notifications.
It worked since the last ios release. i'm not sure, but i think after i updated the iphone to ios 5.1.1 the icloud push notifications stopped working. now to check the icloud mails i have to open the Mail app.
i tried several times to send emails form other clients, but nothing happened.
i turned the iphone off and on several times. removed the microsim. i checked the settings and they are set correctly for the push notifications.has anybody had the same problem?
thanks!

Same thing for me. I disabled my G-mail forwarding temporarily and setup the account back on my iphone. I was having issues with G-mail not pushing but that's fixed now.

  • TS4002 iCloud mail not pushing

Haven't been getting push email on iPhone or iPad. However, my wife is getting them on her iPhone and iPad. Strangely, when I enable hear mail on mine and mine on hers, she still gets push and I still don't. I'm no rookie here, my settings are right. Everything was cool Neil about a week ago. Right around the 5.1.1 update. The wife's iPhone did NOT get updated yet , but her phone DID, so that's not it. Anyone else having push problems?

I contacted Apple Care, and with all my troubleshooting I spoke with a higher up advisor. She determined that is an issue with my account. She escalated it to engineering and they would get back to her in 72 hours.
I contacted them back after 72 hours and had a few more questions. I will be hearing back tomorrow.
If you can have another account log in and get push iCloud mail but not when you are signed in I'd highly suggest calling apple care so engineering knows this is an issue effecting you. It may not be very widespread so you should get the ball rolling.

  • Why does icloud mail not display clearly?

Why does my ipad 2 with icloud mail not clearly display my mail?

Depends on what "not display clearly" means.

  • ICloud mail not working. I can send but cannot receive. Is the system down?

iCloud mail not working. I can send but cannot receive. Is the system down?

Same here. I can send mails from iCloud.com Webmail, but cannot receive.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of
its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address
    failed:
    "[email protected]":
SMTP error from remote server after RCPT command:
    host: mx1.icloud.com.akadns.net
5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias: [email protected]
On iOS 6 device I can't receive, neither send mails.

However, if I change to @me.com, everything works fine.

  • ICloud mail not being pushed to iOS devices

    Hello there,
I've been having an issue with receiving new iCloud mail messages on my iPhone and iPad. They are not being automatically pushed to my iOS devices. They arrive normally to my MacBook and iCloud.com.
I've tried the steps on the offical support page and it recommends deleting the iCloud account and then readding it.
    My question is:
If I do this, will all my photos automatically redownload to the 'My Photo Stream' album in Photos?
    Thanks.

No, only photos from the last 30 days will be redownloaded; older photos are no longer in iCloud and will be lost.  If you want to save your photo stream photos save them to your camera roll first (open your my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll).

  • ICloud Mail not syncing as "read" across all devices

If I read an email on my Mac, it does not mark as read on my iPhone and i still see the new mail notification on the lock screen and there is a new mail mark on the mail app icon when i unlock the iPhone until I open up mail app and it checks manually.
When I used the Gmail Exchange server or Gmail App with Gmail account  it works perfectly and when i read my mail it sync immediately on all devices and the new mail notification disappear immediately after reading the mail on the other device.
Is there any way that iCloud mail can update reading mail Immediately like Gmail Exchange server or Gmail App?

Unfortunately, iCloud only pushes new mail. In iOS, it has never pushed the updated status of mail read, moved or flagged on other devices. http://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT203545
You could try switching your iCloud mail to fetch instead of push. I've never tried this, but maybe it will fetch the read status, as per the fetch schedule.

  • ICloud mail not synching correctly on Iphone4s

Ok i'll try to explain the best as I can please forgive my bad english.
    I have 3 Apple Product
    -1 Macbook Air 2011 (lion)
    -Imac 2010 (LION)
    -Iphone 4s 5.1
On each device I have 3 email account setup
1 @me.com (icloud set to Push)
2 @gmail.com (both set to push by Exchange on Iphone)
Note : Contacts and Calenders work #1.
1)Ok So exemple I send an email to any of the gmail account.  All my 3 devices gets the email np
If I read the email on my iphone, the MBA and Imac receive the info and count it as read
If i read the email on any of my mac, the other mac and the iphone count it as read.
    2) If I send an email to my @me.com  all 3 devices gets the email
If i read the email on my iphone the MBA and the IMAC recevice the info and count is as read.
if i read the email on any of my mac, The other mac count the email as read BUT the Iphone keep saying that I have an unread mail.
The only way I can remove that notification is to open the mail app on the iphone then it will update it as read.
    Stuff that i tried
Remove the Icloud account and readd it  (when i did that Email werent even entering on my iphone as push i have to set it to manual then back to push.
Restore the Iphone (the Iphone was 5.0.1 when i got it, so by restoring it It updated to 5.1).
Close the Mail app on the Iphone completly
Visit the Genius Bar at the Apple Store.
    Now what do I do

Please read Apples own support document on the subject
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1795
if you read an icoud email on your iPhone, iPad or iPad it will update the "Read" status on a Mac
But if you read the same iCloud email on your Mac it WILL NOT update the "Read" status on you iPhone,iPad or iPod (FACT)
Along with 1000's of others I have been experiencing this for some years now
The above link to the Apple support Document will confirm this to you, the relevant section says
"If you read one of your iCloud email messages in the Mail application on your computer, that email will still appear in your unread mail count on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until you open Mail on that device. Once you open Mail on the iOS device, the message status will be updated."
Just read it for yourself at the link above

  • ICloud mail not syncing to all devices

Hi, For the past few days my iCloud Mail program has not been syncing/downloading my .mac mail properly between my apple devices (iPhone 4, iPad new, and MacBook pro). The iPhone is getting mail Pushed as normal, but the laptop and iPad have shown no new mail for days. I've tried everything listed on the support pages and few things found on other forums. And I've also found a number of forum posts about iCloud mail migrating to new servers and that this is causing interruptions.. I have no idea what to make of that, but currently I can only access my .mac account by checking my iPhone or going to the iCloud webpage in Safari nothing is downloading. Any ideas/suggestions?
    Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi, I have the same problem.  Its working fine on my iphone, ipad is OK, but iMac not syncing.  My wifes account works fine though.  [email protected] accounts.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • ICloud Mail not syncing across devices

This issue has been bugging me for many months now and I have not been able to find a solution:  I am an iCloud user for email etc, iPhone 4s with iOS7.0 and MBP with OSX10.8.5 and Mail 6.6.  There are actually 2 issues which I would like help in resolving:
    1. If I happen to notice a new email received on my iPhone and open up that new message using the iPhone, it then does not get downloaded by Mail on my MBP.  If however I choose to ignore a new message in my iPhone's inbox and wait until I get home to read it using my MBP, then Mail downloads the unopened message and I can choose to read it using either the iPhone or MBP.  However, new mail downloaded on my MBP and which I then open using Mail is also downloaded on my iPhone and marked as read.
    2. Sent Mail is not sync'd across the two devices.  I can get around this by bcc'ing myself on all sent messages.
I use IMAP and have tried some recommendations I have found on some help sites but to no avail.
    Thank you

  • My yahoo e-mail not pushing to iPhone4, again.  Had this same problem in October for several weeks.  My kids and husband have 3 other types of smart phones, and none of them are experiencing this problems.  This has been going on for 2 weeks so far.

My yahoo e-mail is not pushing to my iPhone4, again.  Had this same problem for several weeks in October/November 2011.  It's been a problem again for two weeks now.  My kids and husband have three other types of smart phones, and none of them have had this problem.  I'm NOT impressed.  I've seen that others in the iPhone community have also been having this problem.  Is Apple doing anything about it?

It's a yahoo issue. Nothing you can do on your phone to fix it.

  • ICloud mail not syncing with Droid RAZR

On July 24th, 2012 iCloud mail stopped syncronizing with my Droid RAZR.  My wife and I have identical phones, and have currently active and functional iCloud accounts on Mac. Both of our phones had functional email syncronization before AND AFTER ICS updates.  No new dowloands or settings changes have occured.  I have ensured that we are using the correct manual settings [email protected], PW, imap settings mail.mac.com, port 993, SSL
I have tried using imap.mail.me.com and that does not work either. I tried the p07- prefix, and that too does not work. The only error it providfes is that it cannot connect to the server, and no other information is provided.
I was on with verizon support, apple support, and motorola support and no one knows what has happened or has any solution.
Have others encountered this problem recently? I have seen postings from last year on this, but nothing recently.
If others have solutions, please post.
    Thanks

I had the same problem.  Took me a long time to figure out but just got it working with Motorola level 2 support.  For some reason the settings changed and they are different settings that what I got to work using the K-9 app.  Basically, you need to change the incoming and outgoing server settings from what they were!   incoming server is imap.mail.me.com.  Use port 993, ssl/tls (accept all certificates) and authentication method should be LOGIN.  Outgoing settings should be smtp.mac.com with port 587, require sign-in, authentication method is PLAIN

  • ICloud mail not working in Mavericks

I can't add an iCloud mail address - it won't check it in preferences.  What should I do?

Hi. I've already tried reinstalling it. But still find there's more bugs in it than what it's worth. I have to try to work out what the benefits of the update were and so I am unable to find a single benefit. I use FileMaker Pro which is an apple program. Since updating to mavericks I had to purchase the updated version of FileMaker which is the only one that works with mavericks. Having done that I have had problems with fonts not displaying. Contacted the very helpful FileMaker support who were also baffled but it was a known problem. The response that came back from apple - install Microsoft office as the fonts that that instals works with FileMaker. What a crazy response, unfortunately they didn't work even. I have been an apple user for almost 30 years and I can't remember a single OS update that has caused me so many problems as mavericks. No wonder it was free

  • ICloud mail not delivering mail from specific address

I'm having a recurring issue with iCloud mail. Email alerts from my home alarm company are being intercepted on Apple's server side, and are not being delivered to me. I called Apple Support more than a week ago to report this problem, and the representative added the email address to a "white list." This fixed the problem.... for about a week. Now iCloud is up to its old tricks, killing these emails before they get to me. Sounds like an overzealous junk mail algorithm on Apple's server side is mis-identifying this email address as a spam.
And the email is NOT being classified as junk by my computer. It never reaches my computer--it's not in any junk or trash folder on my side.

I use the term "Desktop" to indicate my iMac and my Macbook - the email is actually in my Mailbox on my Macbook. I move it from my Inbox to a folder on icloud. Then it syncs and the email is back in my Inbox.
Sorry my use of the word  "desktop" comes from 25 years managing Windows desktop computers.......

  • ICloud mail not showing up as "box" on iPhone mail list

I have a me.com address. I have added it as an account on my iPhone. I can log in successfully on my desktop to iCloud to retrieve my mail. I CANNOT however, see a mailbox labeled iCloud in my iOS mail on my iPhone. Can anyone help me figure this out? I've restarted the phone over and over. I shut off Mail and turned it back on several times as well. Please help.
    Thanks!

    Hi Winston,
Let me clarify...sorry about that. When I go to Settings --> iCloud --> Under my Account name [email protected] there is a list of "Mail, contacts, Calendars, etc" with on/off toggles, I switched Mail to off and then back on again, in hopes that this would reset itself or something. When I return to my Mail application, iCloud doesn't show as one of my Accounts, only my personal Yahoo and my work Exchange account. I cannot figure out why my iCloud mail does not show up there, even though I am logged in under iCloud and i can access it on my desktop.
    I appreciate the help.
