ICloud not sharing photos from iPhone to my iPad

My iPhone photos are no longer sharing with my iPad.
I receive a message on my iPad there there is an SSL failure and  the account cannot be verified.
I am long way from home and do not want to trial and error the problem.
Is someone able to tell me how to fix this, please?
Cheers

Well, you are not going to get the problem fixed until you delete the iCloud account and sign back on with it again. Your photos are the most important thing to protect. I have deleted and re-signed onto my iCloud account many times and have never lost anything except an "extended" photo stream from doing so.
On that occasion, my Photo Stream probably had about a year's worth of photos. Of course, I had imported everything to my PC because I have iPhoto set up to import and save my Photo Stream, so it wasn't an issue. However, when I signed back on, my Photo Stream was only out there for the past month. That is because iCloud only has the last month or last 1000 photos (whichever comes first).
But if you save your any Photo Stream photos you might be concerned about to your Camera Roll, then you can delete the iCloud account. If you are nervous about losing your Contacts, you can keep them on the phone. Then finish the deletion of the account and then sign back on.
Cheers,

How do I transfer content from iPhone to iPad

    Hi Sacha' !
Thank you for your answer to my ipad question.
I was able to transfer my contacts, notes, calendar . . . etc., once I connected to Yahoo.
The info you gave me would be good, except that I don't use iCloud as it filled up the free 5GB on my iPhone
and then kept asking me to "buy more storage".
One day I may try to utilize the cloud, but now that I seem to have all my info from my iPhone transferred to my new iPad
    I think I am good.
    Thanks again !

  • I can not import photos from PC to my Ipad, it says iTunes will no longer sync photos to the iPad

I can not import photos from my PC to the iPad, it says  iTunes will no longer sync photos to the iPad

YES Terence!  Thank you. Exporting allowed me to move my photos from iPhoto into the Burn Folder on my desktop.   But that doesn't explain why I'm having to go that route now.   Have I done something (accidentally changed some setting) on my computer that will not allow me to just click and drag anymore?   I really liked the convenience of the click and drag option.
I don't have the time tonight to export and burn a lot of CD/DVDs.  I'll try that tomorrow and make sure my photos are moving properly.  I also need to export photos to my external hard drive to make sure that route is working.
Wouldn't you know that my Apple Care Plan runs out this Wednesday?!  I need to make sure everything is working properly before that expires.
Thank you so much for your help.   I really, really appreciate it.

  • Syncing photos from iPhone to original iPad

What settings do you need for transferring photos from iPhone to iPad using photo stream. Sometimes they transfer and sometimes they don't. Is there a limit on how many photos you can have in the photo stream on the iPad as I have more photos in the photo stream on my phone than I do the iPad.

There is a 1000 limit to the number of photos that you can have in the Photo Stream. Only the photos that take after you turn Photo Stream on will sync with the iPad. So are these missing photos that you took after you turned on Photo Stream on both devices or are you missing photos that were already on the phone before you enabled Photo Stream on the iPad?

  • How do i get photos from iPhone 4 to ipad?

Fairly new to ipad so forgive what might be a silly question.
I have iphone 4 and ipad. want to be able to sync the pics on my phone to my pad. having to create folders - cut and pasted and then sync pad to that folder at the mo. -help please

I don't fully understand your question (don't use sync pad), but you do know that you can transfer photos/videos directly from the phone to the ipad with the camera connection kit? They appear as events/albums in the Photos app. Brief tutorial (done with ipod, but it's the same for phone):

  • Can I use iCloud to store photos from iPhone and Mac?

I would like to use iCloud like Dropbox. I have photos that were taken on my iphone and photos that are loaded on my Mac from a camera that I would like to store in the Cloud. I would also like others be able to download their photos of this event to the same Icloud account. Is that possible?.

The only way you can store photos in iCloud indefinitely is if you add them to a shared stream.  However, when you do this, the photo will be at a lower resolution than the originals.
My photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, allowing enough time for all your devices to receive them.  The only other photos in iCloud are camera roll photos stored in your backup.  However, you can't see anything in the backup unless you restore it to your device.  Also, if you delete the photos from your device and continue to back it up, the backup that contains the deleted photos will be overwritten by one that doesn't, and they wil be lost.

  • IPhoto not accepting photos from iPhone IOS7

I have not been able to copy photos from my iPhone 4S to my macbook 1,1 (OSX 10.6.8) since I installed IOS7.0 on the phone. "file is in an unrecognizable format" and it's JPG.

    Export: File -> Export
    This User Tip
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4921
has details of the options in the Export dialogue.
    Copy: Use iPhoto Library Manager
But best to rebuild the library:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards
    TD

  • Can not download photos from iphone to computer or mobile me

i havent been able to download my pictures from my iphone to my computer thru itunes at all i went to the local at&t store but instead they convinced me that buying mobile me would automatically sync my photos and still havent figured that out please help so frusturated..............

Hi, Kortiz - I think your question was -"i havent been able to download my pictures from my iphone to my computer . . . please help so frusturated.............. "
Excuse the babble as this is written quickly but I too just was setting up my iPhone 3GS with to get test photos I shot today onto my MAC computer, and I was "frusturated" TOO! I have a deep knowledge of Apple products, a MobileMe acct and I own Aperture, a wonderfully powerful program (expensive also, but also have APPL stock, so I balance that with positive returns) - but spent way over an hour trying to sleuth it out - only then turned to the internet to find others were in the same position.
I am a die-hard Apple Supporter, but finding a way to transfer 30 photos was far from intuitive, (I think I could only email-upload 5 at a time) and interestingly the "manual" as well as a "Dummies" book someone leant me as a joke do not address the process properly - they focus on a process to upload TO your iPhone - as does the answer from k8 below - why is this?! The answer was that you have to have an updated version of iPhoto or Aperture and figure it out from there (not obvious either), but even Aperture took more steps than were needed for what SHOULD be a simple transfer to the folder of your choice.
There is no doubt that Apple wants us all to spend a lot of time around the iTunes money machine (again, fine with me, bought stock when it was $17+ share) but why do iPhone "DEVICES" show up only in iTunes and not as part of a transparent system functionality? Most cameras and flash memory just pop up as a folder on the Macintosh desktop allowing a SIMPLE "drag and Drop" copy from a DEVICE to a PHOTO folder (or any other folder for that matter).
WHY have the design and engineering teams made it so convoluted for some of these issues when they have thought out FAR more complex actions so elegantly?
So, here are some questions I have in return if any APPLE techs are out there - (as I have not received a non "hedgy" answer from anyone of the "genius" employees)
The iPhone does not come up on the desktop as a "DEVICE"
iPhoto therefore cannot "IMPORT" the photos.
Wouldn't this make sence based on the "way" we do other actions on the MAC (or eek -PC)?
Someone in this forum answered " iTunes doesn't transfer photos from the camera roll to your computer. Get them as you would from any digital camera. "
Q: Why not use ONE program to deal with receipt from as well as transfer to the base computer?
Q: "Get them as you would from any digital camera" I WISH!!! Why do even SONY cameras just pop up as a folder on the Macintosh desktop allowing a SIMPLE "drag and Drop" copy from device to PHOTO folder?
AND WHY SHOULD THIS STATEMENT BE TAKEN AT FACE VALUE?:
"iTunes will only sync photos from your computer to the photo album on your phone. The previous post covers that."
Q: Although we have learned since the early OSX days Apple no longer makes things to purely benefit the user without putting profits first and drawing continuing blood or cash second for the long term (just an observance) how can this issue be part of the grand plan for world domination? Isn't there some elegant behind the scenes way of allowing downloads as well as uploads from iTunes without leaving it?
    Best, Tom

  • How do I transfer photos from iPhone 4 to iPad air

How do I transfer photos from the camera roll on my iPhone 4 to my iPad Air?

If you have a few, you can e-mail them from one device to another.
You can enable iCloud on both devices and turn on photo stream (although photo stream doesn't work retroactively so it may take some fiddling)
there are third party apps out ther for photo sharing
You can upload them to a service like dropbox, from one device, then download them onto the other one.

  • Transfer photos from iPhone 4 to iPad without going through iTunes

Can I transfer photos from my iPhone to iPad without needing to use iTunes to sync?

    mapex_venus wrote:

You have a Mac, so essentially iPhoto (or Aperture, depending on what you have) stores and organizes photos. I find this very useful, because although 99.9% of my photos are from a real camera, I do occasionally take photos with my iPhone, possibly more now that I have an iPhone 4.
iTunes, as annoying as it can be at times, let's you organize what photos are moved to the iPad and iPhone. It really is easy, even for a rank beginner.
Apple also keeps a closed system for these products. Again, annoying at times, but mostly it works. You should read stories about the Android system where apps work or don't work depending on seemingly random movements of the planets. There might be something out there if you look hard, but you'll be frustrated with what happens.
I'm very happy how I control photos with Aperture, iPhone, iPad and iTunes in combination. Switch out Aperture and iPhoto, and you'll be fine too.
But, if there's a particular reason why you don't like the combination, drop a note here, and we'll try to help out.

  • HT201317 transfer photos from iphone to new ipad

Bought a new ipad 4. Have many pictures on an iphone 4 ( photostream ) and also many photos on pc ( windows 7 ). I have set up icloud on iphone/pc/ipad. I would like to get my photos from pc/iphone onto ipad. No idea what to do. Have tried syncing an no photos have moved. Please help. Thanks

Put the photos in a folder on your computer, then select to sync the photos on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync your iPad.  They should then appear in the Photo Library album in the Photos app.
