ICloud not syncing devices?

When I try to sync my computer it just says "Registering Computer" and gives up... it was working fine, syncing my Safari bookmarks, dock items, dashboard, etc.. Anyone else having this problem?

Since you have posted in the iCloud forum I assume you have migrated your MobileMe to iCloud? What you have posted is the MobileMe sync pane and this is no longer relevant. Syncing of calendars, contacts, and Safari bookmarks is now carried out in iCloud and should be turned on in the checkbox list at System Preferences>iCloud when you have signed in there with your @me.com address. iCloud does not sync dock items, dashboard, keychains etc.

  • Why does iCloud not sync mail rules?

This seems like a no brainer. When I view my email on my Iphone, I see all my Spam, which would already be dispatched to the Junk box on my desktop, had I looked there first. Why does iCloud not sync my Mail rules, and is there a solution for this?

It is not Mac to Mac.
Why not look up iCloud support, it was never offered as anything outside iOS 5 supported devices.
Maybe if you would stop reading into things what isn't there.

  • ICloud not syncing bookmarks to Lion from iOS 6

Has anyone had issues with iCloud not syncing bookmarks to Lion from iOS 6?

    Not yet...
On the Mac open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Safari then reselect it.
On an iOS device, tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Safari off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the data.

  • ICloud not syncing IE bookmarks from PC

iCloud not syncing IE bookmarks from PC
I don't even use IE but since the Firefox app won't open the bookmarks in Safari, I thought I'd just copy my Firefox bookmarks to IE, then use the cloud sync.  (I am syncing and backing up to iCloud, and not my PC)
I did this all last night: backed up and then synced to iCloud  Another thread  suggested that you shut down IE so I did that. Someone else had suggested on a different thread that un-checking and re-checking the Bookmark check box in the iCloud Control panel would trigger a re-sync...did that all last night in hopes it would sync and it didn't.
I manually deleted everything in the Safari bookmarks in the Phone that it would allow, but now strangely enough in addition to the "Reading List" and "history" folders, I have TWO "Bookmarks Bar" folders with identical contents.
So I'm trying to be patient and thought maybe it takes some time for it to re-sync so I left iTunes up and running on the PC overnight...as usual....so I tried again this evening. I still have my old bookmarks on the iPhone (4S), and they've never pulled in.
    Thoughts?

Gee, I don't know what to tell you....I can open IE, add a folder, resync my iPhone to the iCloud, and the new folder appears. I even tried it while leaving IE open (I had read on another thread that closing it might help, but it had no adverse impact on my ability to sync).
Well, all I can suggest is to give Safari a try, or use the Firefox app (unfortunately it's a multi-step process to open a link through Safari, but that might not bother you)
Or, just run through these checkpoints one more time to make sure nothing is missed.
Are you running Windows 7 or later, and have you downloaded the iCloud Control panel for Windows?

Do you have Bookmarks turned on in iCloud settings on your iOS device?
You may have done exactly this, but if not, give this a try (and may help others in the future)
Deselect Bookmark syncing in the iCloud control panel     on your PC.
Deselect iCloud Bookmarks on your iOS device. It should     then prompt you to take action with the previously synced bookmarks on     your device. Choose "Delete from my iPhone (or whatever delete option     it gives you).
Sync manually to the cloud through your iOS device. You should have no bookmarks on your device.
    Now turn everything back on...
In the iCloud control panel, re-select     Bookmarks/Internet Explorer
on your iOS device, re-enable iCloud Bookmark Syncing
Now manually back up your iOS device to iCloud

I am installing itunes to a laptop and have not sync device to this lap. It is saying that it must first restore device. The problem is I have over 2000 pictures and don't want to lose them. Now my phone is in restore mode and I don't know what to do. I don't want to proceed and loose these very important photos of family. What do I do to get it out of restore mode? My phone will not allow me to do anything to it at this point. I have the itunes downloaded on the laptop now. When I push the button for the phone it just shows Itunes and plug. I can't even call or open phone up.

Unfortunately... Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...

Using a computer, other than the one you have regularily been Syncing and Backing up to, was the begining of your issue.

  • ICloud not syncing when you change default folder

    Hi,
there seems to be an issue with iCloud not syncing photostream when you choose a different folder to store your pictures. Though if you'd still like to have your photostream pictures in a different folder, use my solution:
    1. Close all apple executables from task manager (ApplePhotStreams.exe, iCloudServices.exe)
    2. Remove C:\Users\<Username>\Pictures\iCloud Photos
    3. Create a symbolic link to the folder you'd like to use:
Start a command prompt, and use the following command to create a symbolic link:
         mklink "C:\Users\<Username>\Pictures\iCloud Photos" "<newpath>"
Where <newpath> is the path where you'd like to store your pictures.
    4. Start iCloud and sign out
    5. sign in again and apply settings
    6. Enjoy!

No, what I am saying is that the ones that have it on by default seem to work properly. The ones that you have to go in and enable the feature do not seem to save to iCloud once that option has been enabled. I've ran into several:
Don't save to iCloud (Have to go in an toggle the setting)
    Anomaly Warzone HD
    Zombieville USA
    Cut the Rope experiments
DO save to iCloud (Setting is on by default)
    Bards Tale
    Batman Arkham lockdown
    The Incident

  • TS3988 iCloud not syncing across devices?

My devices are not syncing in iCloud.
E-mails can be received but not deleted - I have to delete from each device separately.
    Fiona

iCloud does not sync emails. You are interacting directly with your email on the server, so whatever actions you take on one device/computer are actually performed on the server, so are also seen on every other device/computer that connects to the same account on the same server.
Just to confirm, you are referring to emails sent to your @icloud.com (or @me.com / @mac.com) email address, arent you? Not any other external email account?

  • ICloud not syncing across all devices

I have a macbook pro, iphone 4, and iMac.  Both computers are running Lion and my iphone 4 is up to date.
I believe I set up iCloud correctly on all three devices.  However, only the iMac and the iPhone seem to be syncing properly.  For some reason, mail sent from me.com via my macbook pro doesn't show up in my other devices.  Also, iCal entries made on my macbook pro are also not showing up.
Is there a quick fix?  Some kind of setting somewhere that I need to change?  All help appreciated.

    mail.
Try turning mail and notes syncing off and on again on the MacBook.
    calendars.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • ICloud Not Syncing With Devices

I'm having a problem syncing apps on my devices with iCloud--specifically my iCal app. I've never been able to get iCloud to sync iCal on my brand new iPad, but now it's not syncing iCal on my iPhone either.  I have to sync apps on both devices manually thru iTunes.  Any suggestions?

Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...scroll down to the Calendars section and tap Default Calendar.  Here be sure that you have selected your iCloud calendar as your default (and not, for example, the Calendar under On My iPhone/iPad).  If you make a change to this setting, enter a new event in iCal on your device and see if it syncs properly to iCloud now.

  • ICloud not syncing on IOS5 devices

My iCloud is syncing correctly with my Outlook 2007 and iCloud.com.  But it is not syncing with any of my IOS5 devices (iPhone 4/iPad). On both of my IOS devices in the settings I am logged into iCloud and I have each of the options to sync turned on. But nothing is syncing with iCloud on my iOS devices.
I used mobile me for several years and it synced fine with Outlook/Mobileme/iPhone/iPad.  But after I made the move from Mobileme to iCloud yesterday, nothing is syncing betweenany of my IOS devices after I installed IOS5. Is anyone else having this issue?

i just posted something that maybe related. I only found this post after the fact. my issue happened after i made some changes to my contacts folder in iCloud. Only iOS devices are affected.  PC and MACs are syncing okay.

  • ICloud not syncing on all devices

iCloud is not syncing any documents I make through pages, whether I create the document on my iPad, iPhone or my Macbook Air. It says it is syncing, but never does. I started a document earlier this week on my Mac and finished it on this last Friday, and only 2/3 of it is available on my other devices. I created a new document on my iPhone today and it is still syncing, or trying to.
Devices and computers have been restarted and checked. I have enough storage. I would think that I cloud is experiencing issues but Apple is showing green lights across the board.
Is anybody else experiencing any issues? or maybe have a solution?

To change the iCloud account you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
If the old ID is not an earlier version of your new ID and your password is not accepted when you delete the account, you will have to contact the Apple account security team for assistance resetting the password: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.

  • ICloud Not Syncing Properly on One Device

So I have an iPad, iPhone, iMac, and Macbook Pro.
I use iCloud syncing for one program, Notability and for whatever reason, things do not get synced to the Macbook Pro. In order to retrieve all the documents in the cloud, I have to uncheck 'iCloud Drive' in System Preferences and then recheck it. (Also of note is that the reading list in Safari does not sync properly, but contacts does). This only happens with the Macbook Pro. I have tried signing in and out of iCloud but it occurs again. I am using the same e-mail address with all devices. Anybody have any clue what could be the issue?

It's important to realise that there is only one copy of your Contacts and Calendars, it lives at iCloud.com and your devices (all of them) get the same thing. If your calendars are gone from iCloud.com you're going to need a backup copy.
? Do the calendars exist on any device? Do you backup your Mac?
On each device verify the iCloud calendar and contacts are set as the default (if you do not have any accounts other than iCloud this does not apply)
iTunes likewise has one Library, the iTunes library, quite separate from any iCloud connection. Again, you should keep a backup of it. You can download all tunes purchased from iTunes whenever you want, if you use iTunes Match you can download all the music in your iTunes library regardless of how it got there.
In iTunes, ensure that 'Show Music in the Cloud' is checked. (View Menu)

  • Is there a way to have iCloud NOT sync rules in Mountain Lion Mail?

My wife and I each have our own MacBook Pro on Mountain Lion and we share an iPad on iOS 6. We use OS X Mail as our mail client for our accounts on our ISP mail service.  We have iCloud enabled on all three devices but we have Mail disabled on all three.
Every time either of us makes a change to a Mail rule on our MacBook, it is pushed to the other MacBook.  But we need different rules since we have multiple mail accounts and have different interests in each of them.  I finally noticed by clicking the little ? icon in the rules window that the rules are synced if you have Documents and Data selected in iCloud NOT Mail.  We also use iWork on all three devices so we want Documents and Data enabled for sharing documents between the devices.
So is there a way to keep from screwing up each other's Mail rules without losing access to our iWork documents???  The only thing we have come up with is prefacing every rule name with our initials so for example my rule can file a message and hers can move it to Trash. But this is also a pain since you cannot sort the rules by name in the rules window.

    Hello Tom:
    To my knowledge, no.
