Icloud not syncing group details

I've updated on of my groups on my MAC.  The groups aren't being updated on iCloud and because of that my iPhone and iPad don't get the updated info.  I confirmed that all is showing on my MAC under icloud.  I also deleted a Group and that group was deleted from iCloud.  So, now I just can't figure out why my individual changes (added some contacts/removed some contacts) to that group won't update.  I didn't have this issue on Mobile Me.  I would just go in and do a Manual sync, and it would be done.  It looks like it's syncing, but just not updating that specfic info.  I hope this makes sense....please help.
Thank you!

Having the same issue.  I updated a contact group on my MacBook, and cannot get the group to update on my iPhone or iPad.  Checked through every setting I could think of and restarted everything etc...

  • Why does iCloud not sync mail rules?

This seems like a no brainer. When I view my email on my Iphone, I see all my Spam, which would already be dispatched to the Junk box on my desktop, had I looked there first. Why does iCloud not sync my Mail rules, and is there a solution for this?

It is not Mac to Mac.
Why not look up iCloud support, it was never offered as anything outside iOS 5 supported devices.
Maybe if you would stop reading into things what isn't there.

  • ICloud not syncing when you change default folder

    Hi,
there seems to be an issue with iCloud not syncing photostream when you choose a different folder to store your pictures. Though if you'd still like to have your photostream pictures in a different folder, use my solution:
    1. Close all apple executables from task manager (ApplePhotStreams.exe, iCloudServices.exe)
    2. Remove C:\Users\<Username>\Pictures\iCloud Photos
    3. Create a symbolic link to the folder you'd like to use:
Start a command prompt, and use the following command to create a symbolic link:
         mklink "C:\Users\<Username>\Pictures\iCloud Photos" "<newpath>"
Where <newpath> is the path where you'd like to store your pictures.
    4. Start iCloud and sign out
    5. sign in again and apply settings
    6. Enjoy!

No, what I am saying is that the ones that have it on by default seem to work properly. The ones that you have to go in and enable the feature do not seem to save to iCloud once that option has been enabled. I've ran into several:
Don't save to iCloud (Have to go in an toggle the setting)
    Anomaly Warzone HD
    Zombieville USA
    Cut the Rope experiments
DO save to iCloud (Setting is on by default)
    Bards Tale
    Batman Arkham lockdown

  • ICloud not syncing bookmarks to Lion from iOS 6

Has anyone had issues with iCloud not syncing bookmarks to Lion from iOS 6?

    Not yet...
On the Mac open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Safari then reselect it.
On an iOS device, tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Safari off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the data.

  • Icloud not syncing with all devices?

Why is my iCloud not syncing with all my devices (pc, iPhone)?  Help please, anyone.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Can you please provide some more information about your problems.

  • ICloud not syncing IE bookmarks from PC

iCloud not syncing IE bookmarks from PC
I don't even use IE but since the Firefox app won't open the bookmarks in Safari, I thought I'd just copy my Firefox bookmarks to IE, then use the cloud sync.  (I am syncing and backing up to iCloud, and not my PC)
I did this all last night: backed up and then synced to iCloud  Another thread  suggested that you shut down IE so I did that. Someone else had suggested on a different thread that un-checking and re-checking the Bookmark check box in the iCloud Control panel would trigger a re-sync...did that all last night in hopes it would sync and it didn't.
I manually deleted everything in the Safari bookmarks in the Phone that it would allow, but now strangely enough in addition to the "Reading List" and "history" folders, I have TWO "Bookmarks Bar" folders with identical contents.
So I'm trying to be patient and thought maybe it takes some time for it to re-sync so I left iTunes up and running on the PC overnight...as usual....so I tried again this evening. I still have my old bookmarks on the iPhone (4S), and they've never pulled in.
    Thoughts?

Gee, I don't know what to tell you....I can open IE, add a folder, resync my iPhone to the iCloud, and the new folder appears. I even tried it while leaving IE open (I had read on another thread that closing it might help, but it had no adverse impact on my ability to sync).
Well, all I can suggest is to give Safari a try, or use the Firefox app (unfortunately it's a multi-step process to open a link through Safari, but that might not bother you)
Or, just run through these checkpoints one more time to make sure nothing is missed.
Are you running Windows 7 or later, and have you downloaded the iCloud Control panel for Windows?

Do you have Bookmarks turned on in iCloud settings on your iOS device?
You may have done exactly this, but if not, give this a try (and may help others in the future)
Deselect Bookmark syncing in the iCloud control panel     on your PC.
Deselect iCloud Bookmarks on your iOS device. It should     then prompt you to take action with the previously synced bookmarks on     your device. Choose "Delete from my iPhone (or whatever delete option     it gives you).
Sync manually to the cloud through your iOS device. You should have no bookmarks on your device.
    Now turn everything back on...
In the iCloud control panel, re-select     Bookmarks/Internet Explorer
on your iOS device, re-enable iCloud Bookmark Syncing
Now manually back up your iOS device to iCloud

  • ICloud not syncing with my outlook calendar?

I have a 3GS iPhone and ipdad2 both have been upgraded to the new IOS software. The calendars were automatically syncing yesterday with my outlook calendar but today when I add a new calendar item to either my ipad2 or 3GS iPhone it  will not show up on my outlook calendar.  My iPhone and iPad calendars are automatically syncing but not my Outlook calendar, I checked my settings on both devices and the iCloud is on. Any advice?

Yo can initially install and synce Outlook 2007 with iCloud.  Be careful.  Everything in the Contacts group will move sync up as contacts.  You can use Groups in outlook before syncing for the first time. iCloud does recognize groups.  Download the iCloud for Outlook(PC) app here.  http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455.  It installs a ew toolbar that says Refreash iCloud.  I have not been sucessful at getting the app to re-sync my outlook with iCloud. In either direction.  iCloud to my Apple devices works great.  But I sure would like to keep Outlook in sync also.  I have been searching for a way to re-initiate the action that takes place when you first install the app.  I have not found a way yet to force a re-syn of Outlook to the iCloud.

  • Is there a way to have iCloud NOT sync rules in Mountain Lion Mail?

My wife and I each have our own MacBook Pro on Mountain Lion and we share an iPad on iOS 6. We use OS X Mail as our mail client for our accounts on our ISP mail service.  We have iCloud enabled on all three devices but we have Mail disabled on all three.
Every time either of us makes a change to a Mail rule on our MacBook, it is pushed to the other MacBook.  But we need different rules since we have multiple mail accounts and have different interests in each of them.  I finally noticed by clicking the little ? icon in the rules window that the rules are synced if you have Documents and Data selected in iCloud NOT Mail.  We also use iWork on all three devices so we want Documents and Data enabled for sharing documents between the devices.
So is there a way to keep from screwing up each other's Mail rules without losing access to our iWork documents???  The only thing we have come up with is prefacing every rule name with our initials so for example my rule can file a message and hers can move it to Trash. But this is also a pain since you cannot sort the rules by name in the rules window.

    Hello Tom:
    To my knowledge, no.

  • TS3988 iCloud not syncing across devices?

My devices are not syncing in iCloud.
E-mails can be received but not deleted - I have to delete from each device separately.
    Fiona

iCloud does not sync emails. You are interacting directly with your email on the server, so whatever actions you take on one device/computer are actually performed on the server, so are also seen on every other device/computer that connects to the same account on the same server.
Just to confirm, you are referring to emails sent to your @icloud.com (or @me.com / @mac.com) email address, arent you? Not any other external email account?

  • ICloud not syncing and Contact problems with merging duplicates

I was having problems with the syncing of my notes app. When I got the iphone 5 I had since using Mountain Lion I had started to make use of the fact that the notes sync across iCloud. Great. Although not for long. Everything was going fine notes were syncing across devices but then spontaneously they stopped syncing for no apparent reason. I then went to look in settings, looked online and all through discussion forums. Switching notes on and off on icloud both on the macbook and on my iphone. Restarting devices etc etc. iCloud itself online was not able to access the notes app. I kept getting error messages that I would submit to apple. Then I finally relqinquished and unhooked the iCloud accounts from the computer and phone. And at the sacrifice of losing albums in my photostream they sprung back to syncing.
Then the real problem happened. I had selected to keep a copy of my address book in contacts when I unhooked my computer just in case. When everything linked back up again, I then had duplicates in my address book. Not 1 (this can happen just having icloud active) but 5 sets of duplicates, granted I had kept a version from when I unhooked. So I looked around again for how I could quickly and easily get rid of duplicates. Following suggestions online I go into contacts>cards>look for duplicates. I had 1200 or somthing duplicates, so naturally when given the option "would you like to merge the info in these duplicates I click yes. The MacBook starts to chugg away. Its gonna take a while. So I come back later. And before returning to CONTACTS, go to send a message from MESSAGES and I notice that 80% of the threads have no name. I go back to CONTACTS and WHAM 100s of contacts disappeared in the merge never to be retrieived again. You cant restore CONTACTS from Time Machine as it is just mirrors the contacts that you have in present time. Restoring phone doesn't work becasue it just downloads from iCloud after it has restored. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS. I am livid.

what I mean is - create a complete new contact on your contacts and select a picture for it from your Mac. Then set it as "make this my card"
Once you have done that - presumably it will sync with iCloud - have a look and the contact should appear on your iPhone too.
On your iPhone go on Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendar> Under "Contacts: in "My Info" select That new contact you created on your Mac.
Let me know if that works.
-On another note, so what you are saying is, if I take my 15' Macbook Pro in and they have none of the old ones in stock, they just give you a Retina display one! Did you take it to them for the contact issue you were having or something else?

  • New iCloud Notes Sync: Advice Needed

Signing on to my iCloud account this morning I now have Notes and Reminders files, as I expected to find them. Looking first at the Reminders file, I found all my Reminders, completed and open, over 350 of them. Everything looks great and I really like the ability to amend them on my iMac. Great!
I opened the Notes file hoping to find all the (many) notes I have on my iPhone and iPad. Nope, not there! Upon further investigation, it seems I created those notes on the two devices using my Gmail account. I did not realize I was doing that, but now on the iPhone under Accounts I find three listed: Gmail, iCloud and my dot me account. The iCloud account shows zero notes, the Gmail has a great many and the dot me account has three.
My question for the group is, how can I move ALL my notes over to the iCloud account and going forward be assured I am creating new notes using the iCloud account so I can utilize the versatility of this new service? (I can tell you that my notes have been synchronized between the iPhone and iPad. Thus, I assumed I had been using iCloud all along and iCloud Notes has been enabled on both mobile devices all along.)

Okay, I have tested the system since updating my iPhone and iPad to IOS 6. As mentioned above, I set the default on both devices for future Notes to be iCloud. I created a note on my iPhone and it did show up on the iPad (completely expected that as that has been happening all along) AND it showed up online via my iMac by going to my iCloud account.
So, this question remains and is now refined to be -
How can I transfer all Notes created via other platforms (Gmail or my Dot Me account) to the Cloud?

  • ICLOUD NOT SYNC - IPHONE - CALENDAR/REMINDERS - ?DATA CORRUPT?

    Hello,
Since i've restored my data to a new Iphone5 i've my calendar stoped to Sync.
I've tried all the known solution like, turn off an on the icloud service, delete account and reasign account...
After trying a restore that diden't worked either, i've tried to assign, my fathers account, and voilá the icloud synced smoothly.
So my problem is that probably my icloud data on apple server have some issue or is corrupted, in the other hand i can acess it thrugh web and my mac.
I've also noted that syncing over 1600 contacts on my father account was faster than syncing mine 623 contacts...
The Notes sync ok, the contacts sync slowly but at the and i've got all data,
My major issues is on Reminders and Calendars.
Some one have any solution, or same problem?
    Thanks in advance

    Finally i've found the solutuin!!
If you're facing the same problem, (calendars and reminders not syncing), and you've already tried turning off/onn icloud ... etc, i shugest you to take a look at you mac if you have any subscribed calendar at you mac.
My issue was beign caused by a subscribed calendar that has it address mistyped  instead of http://feriados.blogdoiphone.com was http:///feriados.blogdoiphone.com and this issue was making my iphone to not sync.
Attention, the subscribed calendar are not avilable at icloud.com, so is important to check on you calendar application at your mac.
    Hope to help someone.

  • ICloud not syncing with Outlook 2011 using Lion

My problem is bizarre and the more I seem to troubleshoot the worse it gets.  Since I only just bought my MacBook Pro, Lion was already installed.  I had an old MacBook and the transition was seemless until ICloud came along yesterday morning.  I signed up of course, as I knew I would eventually be forced to anyway and transitioned from MeMobile.  Now I have problems.  No sync between my Outlook 2011 and Address Book and ICloud.  I have been trying to find a solution and have tried the following:
    1. Deleted all the contacts in Address Book and reimported them from Outlook.  This worked fine and Address Book synced with ICloud.  However, when I made changes in Outlook, they would not sync with Address Book and thus not sync with ICloud.  The reverse was also true, i.e. changes and additions in ICloud or Address Book do not sync with Outlook.
    2. I shut down my computer and restarted.  Then I reset the sync services.  The result: All my Outlook Categories and Contacts appeared in Address Book along with all the contacts in ICloud.  When I click on all contacts, I get duplicates of course.  The interesting thing though is the contacts in "All on My Mac" tab in Address Book do not match those in ICloud and ICloud won't sync between the two.  So as a result, the problem above persists.  I still do not get any syncing between Outlook and ICloud/Address Book.  (This by the way was the case before I deleted everything from Address Book and imported everthing from Outlook......so I am exactly in the same place I was before I started troubleshooting........going in circles at this point in time).
By the way, everything works fine for e-mails.  However similar problem with ICal which has also doubled up on all info which was in ICloud and Outlook. I had a memobile account previous so ICloud just imported all that info I assume.  Also, everthing works fine between my IPhone and ICloud.  This is clearly an Outlook/Address Book Syncing problem.
    Any suggestions???

iCloud does not use Apple sync services and Outlook for Mac is not compatible with iCloud, but you should be able to get the mail working.
