ICloud Notes: Where are my iPhone Notes?

Problem: I can't find where my iPhone Notes have synched w/my Macbook Pro Notes. It's a new Macbook, w/OS X 10.8.2, and an iPhone 3G. I set up the @icloud account today with no problems, and the Notes I have on my Macbook now appear on my iPhone (yay!). But the Notes on my iPhone aren't showing up on my Macbook or the iCloud Notes account. What am I missing?

Have you signed in to iCloud on the macbook? Go into System Preferneces and to iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID and make sure it looks like the following"

HT4946 Where are my Iphone Photos?

Where are my photos backed up from my iphone? I am using a new macbook pro and cannot locate the MobileSync folder anywhere. They are not located n the Itunes Media folder either.

Your backup folder is here:
~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
You will have to turn on "Show All Hidden Files/Folders" to see it. The only photos in that folder are photos from your camera roll. However, nothing in that folder is directly viewable...it's an SQLite database...without the use of third-party software.

All notes just disappeared from "Notes" app on iPhone, iPad, Macbook Air and iCloud. Where are they?

For months they are there. Yesterday-- all gone! What the heck happened? Was it something I did? What can I do to get them back?

You will have to do more than simply changing settings in your moms account. To set up everything in your own account, go to Settings > iCloud > scroll down and press sign out. From this, check out this link for how to setup iCloud on all of your devices after making a new icloud account on your phone: https://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Before you set that up, you will have to make a new iCould account which you can simply do after you sign out of your mom's account on your devices.

Where are ringtones iPhone 4 ios5

Hello everyone.
I'm looking for guidence here in the Apple community.
Seems I have an issue with ringtones as part of the update party yesterday.
Hardware:
iPhone 4 w/ ios5
Macbook pro w/ 10.7.2
iTunes 10.5
Ringtones have bben purchased for apple.
Everyting seemed to transfer nicely exept for the ring tones.
Sync all ringtones is selected in iTunes.
I have tried syncing with iCloud and straight to the computer. If I try to deselect the ring tones it asks if I am sure as it will remove them from the device. That leads me to belive they are on the phone but where? I have looked in sounds> ringtones but the only thing showing are the defaoult apple sounds.
Any adive on where else they could be?

I called AppleCare last night about my battery issue and asked about ringtones, and my really awesome advisor/tech support guy told me that they are aware of the issue and that it is a problem with the ringtone developer/programmer and that they are working on a solution. I wasn't happy with the answer, but he was extremely apologetic and said that he had had the same problem himself. I lost ringtones I had just purchased two days prior and ios5 made me repurchase them. He said he had lost twelve and had to buy them again as well. I'm hoping there's going to be a fix soon since it seems to be happening to a lot of people, even Apple employees (unless he was simply being empathetic rather than telling me the truth, but I'm hoping it was the latter than the former).
Now the battery issue is another thing altogether. That one I'm thinking he gave me a load of bull on. I have to go to the Apple store to get my phone replaced because according to my tech, the battery die issue is my phone and not the software. But, why did it all of a sudden start to die after the software update when it was fine before? Makes one wonder?

IPhoto auto upload to iCloud but where are they?

Not sure if this should be in iCloud or iPhoto.
I use iPhoto as the manager. I download pictures from my camera or SD card and then I see activity (via little snitch) showing data going to iCloud photo. But there the trail ends, I see no images on searching on my iMac, iCloud etc, the device I use for managing pictures, nor do I see them on my iPad. The only way to see them is to actively share them from iPhoto but then they seem to be uploaded a second time.
I am led to believe that a certain amount of images are automatically uploaded for sharing and I do not need to actively share it. I realise it is Beta, just trying to get the hang of it. So, what am I missing?
I have automatic upload enabled.

I have tried the settings as you suggest and they do indeed appear in the iPad (new test shots uploaded after reading this). It was that "iCloud Photo Library (Beta)" setting that did the trick.
But I am still wondering where the images go when I download from the camera to the computer (iMac) from a recent trip. I returned from a trip a few days ago and 1.7gb of images uploaded to iCloud Photo's, this was prior my setting adjustment on advice from yourself. I now understand why I could not see them on my iPad but 1.7GB of data went somewhere.
OK. Thank you for the links, I had read the first one but still missed the trick with turning off that setting. Best await 2015 then for a full fledged service?

You have to enable Find My iPhone before you lose it to locate the iPhone.
Note: The ability to use Find My iPhone to locate your device on a map is not available in all countries. Locating your device on a map requires Maps data to be available in that area. ICloud Keychain - Where Are My Email Accounts?????

I have a brand new iPhone 5S, and my old iPhone 4S that I wiped. When I first set up these devices, it was syncing ALL of my email accounts. I only want 5 on my phones, not all 15. So I deleted them all and went to re-sync the accounts in iTunes.
SUPRISE You can't do that any more!!
I can't have iTunes sync over specific accounts. I also can't set up the accounts manually (super long random passwords, etc).
So the only way I have left to set up email on my phones, is over iCloud Keychain. Ok, now that I know this, I'll just disable the accounts on each device that I don't want there. I could have done this from the begining, but who would have thought that iCloud Keychain doesn't just sync keychains (passwords), it syncs entire email accounts!
But HOW DO I DO THIS?
Nothing I've done, has caused my email accounts to get re-imported into my phone. I tried turning iCloud Keychain on and off many times, deleting my iCloud accounts all together, and then re-adding it. Just now, I tried a full restore of my phone (working with my 4S for now). Nothing I do, will let me get my accounts re-imported. I also posted several threads on the topic on this forum, and I haven't gotten a single response. I'm hoping this thread does a little better but my expectations are very low.
Now you might be thinking, hey when you deleted the accounts off your phone, you DELETED THE ACCOUNTS and they don't exist any more. Well this also isn't the case. I just set up a new user on my MacBook Pro. I logged into my iCloud, turned on iCloud Keychain, and all of my email accounts are syncing over as we speak. The emails are pouring in, 90,000+ and counting.
I HATE iCloud Keychain. I've had nothing but problems with it since it was released. I lost years worth of wifi names and passwords. And thanks to Apple taking mail account sync out of iTunes, now I MUST use it. Oh and I hate having to type my password every time I wake my Mac's display up from sleep. Just one more **** feature of iCloud Keychain.

In Lion 10.7.4, where are the iPhone backups?

Before Lion 10.7.4, iPhone backups were usefully to be located in User/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup.
This was handy because it meant that by copying the files you could use more than one computer to access the iPhone(s).
In 10.7.4, the Backup dossier is still there (when you actually manage to access the now hidden User/Library, for which purpose, by the way, the following thread is a great help: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18386812#18386812), but it is now empty.
iTunes still recognises synchronized iPhones, so the file is somewhere around…
Does anyone happen to know where it has been put?
(I did think of using Time Machine to restore the backups to this pre 10.7.4 location, but decided not to in case that created a glitch.)

Your computer is probably set to NOT show hidden files, I know on my PC which has Vista, I need to go into Tools menu/folder options/click on the view tab, you need to look down the list that will have appeared in the little window for SHOW HIDDEN FILES & NAMES, see the picture in the below link. You need to change this to show hidden files etc and you then should be able to see this folder.

Where are the iPhone 4 cases???

I need an iPhone 4 case now. I have already dropped my iPhone and now has a small nick on the bottom metal band. Do you guys think there will be an incase iPhone 4 case anytime soon??

Where are the iPhone backups stored?

I am completely reformatting my aging iMac in order to clean the years worth of stale data... However, although the applications can all be re-installed, I need to be sure I save all my iTunes info. I have saved off all of the folders contained within the Music->iTunes folder, but does this contain the backups somewhere for our iPhones and iPod touches?
Also, I am assuming then as long as I save off the apps contained within 'Mobile Applications' and 'iPod games' I can just re-import those when I have the system refreshed and ready to go?

Where are our iPhone 5c 32gb bill credits?

I bought 2 iphone 5c 32gb in May 2014 and still have not seen the $400.00 bill credit and cannot find out a status of this credit. Has anyone else been experiencing this long of a time period for the credit to show up? I got the mail in rebate on the tablet very fast but not the bill credit for the phones.

Where are my iPhone videos ?

I recently imported all my iPhone photo library using iPhoto however, I cant seem to find any of my videos no more. Is it Apple thad dumb to delete all my videos and store just the pictures ?
I looked everywhere on my iPhone and I can't find the videos taken over many years.
Please help, I recently switched to Mac and I must say that this would be a great disappointment. Regards

iPhoto will also import movies from the iPhone. When I connect my iPhone to my iMac iPhoto displays the new items, photos and movies that are on the phone, and I can either manually drag those items I want onto the Photos icon in the left hand pane to import them or use the button to do it automatically.

Where are the iPhone backup files stored on a PC?

I recently downloaded the new iOS software to my phone....when I went to restore from my last backup -- my computer shut down half way through and everytime I've tried since, it won't work. I think my home computer has a virus that is causing this so I was hoping I could copy the backup file and load it into my iTunes on my work computer and restore my phone at work? Any idea how to do that or if it will work? I had over 1,000 pictures and videos that I really don't want to lose....(yes yes I know I learned my lesson to download them....but they are of my kids and I really don't want to lose them!)

The backup files are in the same place on windows 8, but the folder is hidden by default. You can view it by pressing Windows + R, then pasting in "%SYSTEMDRIVE%\USERS\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup"
Or you can tell Windows to show hidden files and folders. In Explorer go to View menu -> Options button -> View tab and then check "Show hidden files, folders and drives". Then you can browse to the folder as normal. This will make all hidden files and folders visible, but you can set the option back if you don't like it.

It has been two month already and still no decent car adapters: charge and listen.

I seriously doubt it.. do you want to walk around with your MacBook and a seriously great dongle hanging on the USB port?? And since they pretty well seal up the units.. I cannot see you swapping the internal wireless card to the next standard.
There will be an update eventually to the express and you can use it as a wireless bridge.. but then your new MBA or MBPr has no ethernet port.. so it will go express--ethernet--thunderbolt adapter--cable to computer.. real smooth!!
