ICloud on iPhone 6 does not recognize password

Constantly getting a pop up box on my phone asking "Sign In to iCloud". When I enter the Apple ID password, it is never recognized. I have been prompted to change it, and have done so many times. The new password will work on the computer, yet it is still "incorrect", and the same box pops up repeatedly. Eventually I get a box saying "Incorrect Apple ID Password - If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it." Back th
Some people on this community have suggested deleting iCloud from the phone, but I am not allowed to do that as it will not accept the password I enter. Re-starting the phone does not change a thing. Totally stymied about this since I got the phone in September. I appeal to the knowledgeable people out there in the hopes that someone can solve this problem, as I can see that I am not the only one affected.
Thanks,
Adele

Hi schlacher,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I know that when your Bluetooth connection does not behave as expected it can be very frustrating. In this situation I would first recommend reading over and using the troubleshooting steps provided in the attached article.

  • Iphone 4 does not recognize password

My iphone says I have the wrong password for my Airport even though it is correct. I purchased a new ipad which I received yesterday and set it up yesterday. it recognized the password with no issues but that is about the time I noticed the issue with the phone.

Have you tried everything here? http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3899
Also: try adding a free gmail or hotmail account. If everything works in that account, I'd recommend you contact to email provider.
    Good luck

  • HT4623 My IPhone 4S does not recognize any wi-fi network.  I have turned it off and on a dozen times and tried 6 places which have wi-fi.  Help

My IPhone 4S does not recognize any wi-fi network.  I have turned it off and on a dozen times and tried 6 places which have wi-fi.
I am trying to update to 7.0.2 and cannot because I cannot access a wi-fi.

Give this a whirl and see if this helps.
Forget the network on the device and turn wifi off.
Turn bluetooth off. (Not sure why, but seemed to help with others)
Turn on airplane mode and then off again.
Reconnect to you network and open up a browser to confirm connection.

  • My IPhone 5 does not recognize my Apple ID and password

I recently changed my Apple password and now my IPhone 5 IOS 7.1.2 does not recognize my Apple ID and password.  Same for FaceBook.  I restored the device to factory setting and the problem persists.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

I had a sense the IPhone did not like all the symbols I put in my passwords.  So I got rid of the symbols in both the Apple and FB passwords.  And now both work perfectly!  I can get into ICloud, ITunes Store, FB without any problem.  Thanks Lawrence!

  • ITunes does not recognize password after removal of corrupt backup file

I removed a corrupt backup file of my iPhone 4 from iTunes and now it does not recognize my password anymore. The password is correct, as I wrote it down when I set it up and have used it before. Any thoughts? This must be some kind of flaw in iTunes or iOS for iPhone.
    iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

Thanks for the suggestion.  I tried stopping and restarting Apple Mobile Services, Bonjour and iPod services but it had no effect.  The problem still remains - everything works for all 3 iPhones immediately after reinstalling iTunes but none of them can connect with any of the USB cables after a reboot.  This problem is still present as of upgrading to 10.6.3.25.
BTW, I do have other choices.  I can become disenchanted with the product, use it less and less, then eventually migrate over to some competitor's product.
    Cheers,
    Chris.

  • ITunes does not recognize password on iMac, but I can sign in to post here, sign in on my iPad, and sync my iPad to my iMac

If I want to sign in to this message board, I can do so.  I can also sign in on my iPad to download updates, purchase new apps and songs, etc.  And I can sync my iPad to iTunes on my iMac.
But when I open iTunes on my iMac, it asks for my password and I can't sign in.  What is causing this problem with iTunes on my iMac repeatedly asking for my password when I open iTunes?
This is very frustrating.  I am also worried that I won't be able to sync when my new iPad arrives March 16.  Help!

The solution (for me at least) is to keep trying the same password in iTunes on my iMac that I know is correct.  For me, the fourth try of typing in the exact same password works in iTunes on my iMac.  I have repeated this several times, and each time it works.
What is messing people up is that when iTunes does not recognize the correct password, people are attempting other passwords.  Those other passwords are all incorrect.  The problem, as you stated, is that the password was entered correctly the first time but because of iTunes having issues it does not recognize it.
People, just keep entering the password you know is correct.  It will eventually recognize it, or at least this works for me.  If this still does not work, reset your password (but then you may still have to enter it repeatedly in iTunes).
    Apple needs to fix this.

  • Mail does not recognize password for incoming mail

I use mail to retrive messages from two pop accounts a mac account and a work account. But now Mail shows a message saying that the server for my log in name does not recognizes the password. But if I use the webmail of that account it does recognize the password. I am able to sentmail from that account as well as to receive and send from the .mac account. What is the problem?
Thank you very much for any help.

Your email provider is not copmcast, that is your ISP.
You apparently have a comcast account that you access using their web mail. Not really relevant here as we are talking about accounts in mail clients, not browsers.
The settings you have posted are to access your comcast mail account in Thunderbird, something Thunderbird is designed to do. Manage multiple mail accounts.

  • IPhone 4 does not recognize caller phone numbers

In my address book (sync with Outlook) i store phone numbers only in full world standard like this
    +996 543 918243 - Kyrgyzstan
    +7 945 6752345 - russia
    +66 834 7653472 - thailand
    and on and on...
I travel a lot. And when I am in kyrgyzstan i can call to full numbers mo problem, but when I get incoming call the number in detected as
    0 543 918243
    instead of
    +996 543 918243
It trims country code. And this caller is not recognized in my address book. I would change all phones in address book to this format if it is only the case. But then I'll have another case that i cannot call those numbers from other countries and those numbers nor recognizable in other countries too.
Before iPhone I had Sonyericsson Xperia x1. i know iPhone s much better, they are not even comparable but this small feature was there. It recognized all the numbers correctly.
Is it possible that you implement this tiny but very helpfull feature in next iOS update?

    I have noticed similar fenomenon.
I might have a contact stored as 040123456, but due to telephone operator when they dial me they show up as 00040123456, two leading 00's.
    Iphone won't recognize this.

  • Lookout does not recognize passwords when attempting access to client process through web

When accessing client process through a web browser Lookout prompts for username and password but doesn't accept valid username and password.

Passwords are unique to each machine not to the application. For example if I were to load your application onto my machine, my security settings would be in place. I have never had Lookout ask for a password when accessing through a web browser. Does the machine you are using have Lookout on it also? If it does, you need to use the user names and passwords for that machine. If not,try using user name "administrator and no password.
    Hope this helps,
    Carl

  • My iphone 5 does not recognize my certified apple lightning cable

my iphone 5 cable which hours before was charging my phone, has suddenly decided to go invalid. The cable is the same, its the one I recieved with my phone but suddenly it wont charge my phone anymore. If i plug it into different outlets, different power adapters, even the included one as well, it keeps giving me the (this device is not certified by apple and may have problems) message. Does anyone know how to get this to stop or at least get my phone to charge?

You think that's bad. I help manage communication for our fire and emergency services. We literally had thousands of apple products, THOUSANDS. Then they pulled the ios7 cable blocking software thing. They made me look like an idiot since I had recommended switching to apple products for consistency for our techs.
When ios7 was released hundreds of our fire crews, sea and response workers started losing their phones. All of them were dying In the field. We didn't have any major catastrophes when ios7 came out but we ran a risk analysis on apple products and the potential for them to cause widespread damage or collapse is fatal so I've been spending the last 6 months phasing them out. Basically crews would say we need 3 phones. Id send them three all set up. Now they ask for three phones and I say to them you can pick any. I tell them htc or samsung because they all know how the cable block screwed some of the response workers in remote areas. They didn't have phones for weeks. I had to spend THOUSANDS couriering 'certified cables' all over the state. To make it worse the cables are the WORST they break constantly just below the connection. That floppy piece that always breaks.
The WORST part was I went into the apple store with 40 cables. Their response was 'I've never seen that problem before...' And they told me I would have to buy all new cables... Thousands of them. A USB cable... That costs 50c to make that every other phone htc samsung Nokia complies with and makes...
Anyhow long story short we are phasing out all apple products. The 'frequent locations' (go look in settings privacy, location services, system services, frequent locations, frequent locations and be prepared to be freaked out...) and ad tracking was another feature on ios7 that went on on people's phones. No one knows how to go any deeper than 2 clicks in the settings so apple says they aren't hidden but we all know they are at 6 steps including unlock.
Not kidding when I say thousands of products now we recalled and threw away because of such a simple thing. Get the feeling they jumped the shark and are heading downhill from here on out.

  • Outlook 2011 suddenly does not recognize password

I am running OS X 10.9.2 Mavericks.  I recently have developed a problem accessing my Exchange account mail through Outlook 2011.  The error message I receive is:
The server for account "XXXX" returned the error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?
I have taken the following steps:
    1. I have deleted the account and re-installed the account.
    2. I have gone into Advanced settings in the Account tab in Outlook and verified that the username and password is correct.
    3. I have tried the NapApp fix which did not solve the problem.
    4. I have run Keychain verification which indicated no repairs needed.
    5. I have deleted the password from the keychain which did not solve the problem.
    Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help.
