iCloud on my iphone 5 hasn't been backed up for a while because I've run out of iCloud space. I now have a new PC and wanted to use iTunes on it, if I just log in will I lose some songs or is it a different iCloud thing ??x
Try signing out of iCloud completely. That message shouldn't pop up if you aren't signed into iCloud at all.
Unfortunately I can't, as this would disable the Find My iPhone feature. Or were you suggesting I disable iCloud only temporarily?

Can I get all my stuff back after a reset even if it hasn't been backed up for months?
First of all I wanted to change my passcode. I knew the number I wanted to change it to, so I changed it.
so later when I tried to get back into my iPad, the so called "new" passcode didn't work. I tried variations in case I somehow managed to stuff it up in the process, but I've diabelled it so many times it reset. (I thought I'd turned off that reset button option anyway). It asked me to set it up again, and I'd already done some googling before hand that said marking it as a new iPad would allow you to set a new passcode and you'd just be able to use iCloud to get back your stuff. (Even my dad said it, but he's not all knowledgable about the iPad -_-) I already knew my iCloud wasn't reliable.
Now I'm in, and i have no clue how to get my iPad back to how it was yesterday. It reminded me just yesterday that my iCloud storage hadn't been backed up in 23 weeks, and that it's basically full. It said the last backup was in December last year, though at the time I hadn't even used up near to all of my storage. My family are of no help whatsoever.
Somehow, if I hadn't tried to change the stupid passcode yesterday, all this wouldn't have happened. So how do I get this iPad back to normal? And WHY was the area for typing in the passcode (after I'd changed it yesterday) now a box that you could type in as many numbers as possible, instead of dots? (This reset iPad has dots)If you only have iCloud's basic, free 5 GBs of storage, if you had more than this on your iPad, chances are high that your backups to iCloud weren't a complete iPad backup, anyhow. And since this has been full for 23 weeks means that you may end up only retrieving a fraction of your current data that you had on your iPad, if what you had on your iCloud backup contained anything that may still have been on your iPad.
This is just one of the reasons I do not like Cloud storage services.
The best and most reliable backup of your iPad is to use a computer with Apple iTunes installed on it and connect your iPad to your computer and let iTunes syc and backup all of your iPad's data.
I an afraid without a clear, comprehensive backup, whatever is saved to your iCloud account is all you are going to be able to retrieve.
If you have purchased anything from IOS App Store and/or iTunes on your iPad, all of iTunes and iOS App Store purchases will have to be redownload and reinstalled.
You won't get charged, again, for the purchases you had already made.
Sorry. -

Hey ' I have hAd my iPhone 5s for a year now ' and can't remember my iCloud password ? And can't change it from my phone or the apple website? Phone hasn't been backed up for 32 weeks ? Any help on what I should doo!?
Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com. Click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'.

Hi, can someone help please - my iPhone hasn't been backed up since early August, now I can't seem to get it to back up to iCloud. I have 9GB of space, I have left it plugged in etc for 11hrs, but keep getting the same message " iPhone backup could not be completed" -what dies that mean.?
Hi,
I was facing issues with both backup and FB integration after the iOs 6 upgrade. Before then I did not have any issues with the iCloud backup service, but after a few days, I noticed that it was continually stuck at the Estimating time for the backup and it never progressed.
As any good techie would, I tackled the most pressing issue first . . . FB integration of course.
I had read in a separate post about this solution so tried it . . .
I deleted the original FB app and hard booted the phone. I then went into settings and entered the data for FB integration. Seconds later, I received a text message to my phone - already listed and verified in FB with a 6 digit code to re-enter instead of my password. Seconds later I was verified and then prompted to download the FB app. All backup and integrated.
Then I went into the iCloud backup, turned it off . . . and deleted the last backup. I then re-enabled backup . . . and although I thought I was going to face the same issue, after a few minutes, it moved on from Estimating time . . . to actually backing up. It is now a small way through the backup and seems to estimate that it will take another two hours to complete.
A good nights work. Backup and integration all sewed up. Good luck.
Cheers

my ipad is jammed.... the screen is about icloud back up. "this ipad hasn't been back up for two weeks.bla2... but the problem is my screen is locked . i couldnt do any thing ! please help me .....
if you can not unlock your ipad, you need to plug it into itunes and do a restore.
If it will not ben able to restore you need to put it in dfu mode (holding down power and home for 10 seconds untill the screen goes completly blank) and then itunes will say it is in 'recovery'. Try that -
Screen alert, "This iPhone hasn’t been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPhone is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi." doesn't go away after tapping on "OK" button. Can't even switch iPad off.
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

When I turn on my iPad I get this message: "iCloud Backup - This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi." It has rendered my iPad useless as I cannot even unlock it, and it shuts down within a few seconds of turning it on. Is there any way to clear this?
Try this now.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
I have icloud on my Ipad and today it says icloud backup this ipad hasn't been backed up in weeks.Backups happen when this ipad is plugged in,locked, and connected to WiFi. Then OK, well, it will not let me OK it and or get on any of my icons. Like it is frozen. Nothing is on my screen (no icons) and it won't let me unlock it. I have cut it off, then back on and that didn't work. So, I need help.

my ipod screen shows " this ipod touch hasn't been backed up in 10 weeks .backups happen when this ipod touch is plugged in locked and connected to wifi" ipod screen is locked and not opening .any solution
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

- Then go to Settings>iCloud>Storage and Backup and either turn off iCloud backup or backup to iCloud -
I am a novice user of an iPad3. My iPad is currently frozen. The only things appearing on the screen are two identical message boxes:
"iCloud Backup
This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi."
Please help me figure out how to get this resolved, as the device is now totally immobilized.Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
