Icloud only shows devices on ios8?
why does icloud.com only show devices signed into ios8? Does this mean someone could be running your icloud on ios7 and you wouldn't know?

Maybe you can try some data recovery program to search your iPhone backup files. These kinds of data recovery programs
for example, iPhone Data Recovery, are designed to help users to find back and recover their lost files.
I suggest that you run this kind of software, and then choose the 3rd mode in the software to retrieve all of your iCloud backup, I guess you can see your iPhone backup there.

my iphone has calendar history for 10 years. my icloud only shows about 6-8 weeks back. how can i get icloud to show all the calendar events in the past that are on iphone?
I encountered a similar problem when finally (and with much regret) I was obliged to migrate my MobileMe to iCloud last month.
Many years of iCal history vanished without trace during this automated transition by Apple and iCloud then kindly synched the resulting vacuum back to iCal on my Mac.
Fortunately, iCloud wasn’t able to decimate iCal on my other Macs because (1) they are still running Snow and (2) I had switched them off as a precaution. Good job I did.
My solution was to export my iCal data on one of those other Macs to a backup file – then I imported that backup file into my Lion-updated Mac’s iCal. That restored all the iCloud-deleted iCal data back on to my Mac and this was promptly synched automatically to my Calendar on iCloud. So now it’s all there and showing.
Perhaps you could do something similar? In the meantime, be very careful not to let iCloud’s amnesia get synched to your iPhone (and other devices).
Experience has taught me never to trust an “upgrade” until it is proven to be working correctly and always to keep in reserve another Mac with a properly-functioning system and all synching to it switched off... -
Can't find iPhone backup on icloud (only shows iPad backups)

List View in ios8 on iPhone only shows 1 year

OK, I solved it. Here is the solution if you have precisely the problem I had.
1. On the iOS device: delete the iCloud account.
2. Go to the Apple ID website and make sure the ONLY email there is the me.com email and that it is set as primary. If you Mac.com email is listed as a secondary email THIS will cause the problem. So delete the Mac.com email.
3. Log back in to iCloud on the iOS device.
Only you wanted to use the Mac.com address and not the me.com one, you could follow the above instructions just swapping me and Mac. -
My iphone4 and my ipad mini were synced to my computer, but now I don't seem to be able to see all of my content nor my photo stream. I did see everything there several weeks ago, so I know it worked. How do I access those from my computer. I can't find how to sign on.
I signed on to iCloud, but it only shows the icons for Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Find Phone, Numbers, Pages and Keynotes. Where's everything else ?

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

Syncing your device with itunes will then enable you to remove whatever photos you wish to remove from your device deleting them with the computer and not the iphone. -
I only show one iCloud on my IPhone that can do a restore. I synced it with my MacBook Pro and I think that may have messed things up. Prior to that I have several backups. Will a "genius" be able to access the info I need?
If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.

No, it means you have no information about your phone.
If you enabled Find my iPhone that also enabled Activation Lock. Even if the thief guessed your passcode they still could not disable Find my iPhone without knowing your Apple ID and password. The thief also only gets a limited number of tries to guess your passcode. If you had enabled "erase after 10 failed attempts" then the limit is 10. If you had not then after 10 or so the thief would have to wait before trying more, an the wait would get progressively longer with each failed attempt. So unless you have a really poor choice of passcodes (1111, 1234, etc) your content is reasonably safe. -
My new 4s is only showing the last 47 of 700 photos which are in photo stream .they are on iCloud. Why ?
Photo Stream only holds the last 30 days worth of photos (up to a maximum of 1000 photos). After 30 days, they begin to roll off. Once downloaded to the phone or another device, they will remain on the device, even after they roll off unless the device is restored, updated, etc.
Photos should be offloaded from the camera roll to your computer on a regular basis. Photo Stream is not meant as permanent or long term storage. -

iCloud doesn't backup email accounts.
iCloud provides an optional email account that syncs between all your devices.
iCloud does nothing at all for external non-iCloud email accounts. -
itunes shows 1800 pictures but my phone only shows 548 and my icloud is full how can i delete pictures i cant see
i saw this under the summary tab in itunes. when you hover over photos at the bottom it shows how many pictures. i don't have it set to sync pics off of my computer files to the phone which is over 6,000 which it said when i clicked on sync photos from but i didn't sync. My phone shows 1.4GB on my camera roll while itunes, under the summary tab of my iphone shows 2.89GB.
i just read this morning to delete photos from the stream which removes them from the cloud and all synced devices. this is why i get confused because i read that on apple.com as well. -
ICloud not showing on all devices
I set-up iCloud on all of my devices and it is only showing three out of four devices. It shows my iMac, iPhone, iPad but not my macbook pro. I follow all the set-up steps and no success. Any suggestions?
Click on your Mac's System Preferences and open up iCloud. Make sure "Find My Mac" has a check mark. If that doesn't help, try making sure you are using the same Apple ID across all your Apple devices. Remember that with iCloud, you now have two Apple IDs. Your first Apple ID is the one you normally use to download purchases with your everyday email address i.e. @Gmail, @Yahoo, @Hotmail etc. Your second Apple ID is your iCloud or @Me email address. im trying to update to newest ios version. but during the proccess, an unknown error accured, now the device wont do anything, just shows the plug into itunes screen. the device does not show in windows or itunes. the iphone wont do anything. i tried restarting, it shuts off and back on, but only shows plug into itunes thing. any ideas?
From my experience, the only way you're gonna get a PC afflicted with this disease to work with a 5th gen nano is to roll back to an earlier version of iTunes. Those affected have been exhausted by this ongoing issue. To update or not to update? And I always say never update unless you have to, and turn off all that auto update mess!
I have two core2duo lappies running 32b vista. My workflow dictates 32b fyi. One is acer aspire running itunes v 11.1 (.0.126), 5th gen nano was originally formatted and works just fine on this machine to this day. My other is the bigger badder lenovo thinkpad and the 5th gen will NOT mount using any version of itunes past 11.0 (.1.12) Windows mounts it just fine. itunes is not having it. no shirt no shoes no service.
I have both a 4th and 5th gen nano. The 4th gen works great on both machines, I even successfully tested it with the latest version (11.1.5) before subsequent deletion on the thinkpad! Weird huh? I think my next experiment might be to restore my 5th gen w/ a Mac and theeeeen plug it into PC itunez.
I'm at a loss on the thinkpad. Scanned for intruders. Cut the Lenovo bloat. Executed system and reg maintenance. Took down msconfig to a safe mode + itunes level to attempt to resolve possible sw conflicts but to no avail. NO NO NO. Every single dang port, every time on the thinkpad. Has me feeling like others might get the same treatment by the next itunes update. :|
So in summary for me:
5th gen nano and thinkpad are a NoGo on 11.1^ last working version for me = 11.0.1
5th gen nano is working on an acer aspire 11.1.0 but no way in the world am I updating
4th gen nano is kicking 5th gen nano's @zz so what would make me want to buy a new ipod? -
I purchased some alert tones on my iphone 4s via itunes yesterday. They all worked just fine until the phone ran out of battery and I plugged it in and restarted. They have vanished from the phone and when I connect to my PC they only show up as 'on my device' under tones and with a grey dotted circle by them. How do I get them back? This is crazy! I purchased one a second time, it worked, I switched my phone off and on again and it has gone again!!!
Having the same issue on multiple alert tones on my Iphone5c. After purchase they disappear from the phone and show up on my itune under Tones grayed out with a dotted circle next to them.
