ICloud outage hurts my Job Search...

So, email has been down for over 24 hours, I am currently unemployed and my job search has my iCloud email on all of my resumes and job search engines, on Sunday night I submitted my resume for a few promising job leads... Monday morning I got a few replies from would be employers who asked me for a fast response... only to find out that my main connection to employers (my email) has been down for over 24 hrs... mind you, Im a Data Center Engineer by trade, and I can promise you... this is unacceptable by ANY standard... APPLE you just showed your lack of redundant services, your lack of Disaster Recovery preparation and poor Data Center operations... this excuse of

is completely irresponsible and shows a lack of respect to your users, loyal users. How do you expect new users to trust your services and move all their important information to your "Cloud".

But what we agreed when we subscribed to iCloud is:
"APPLE DOES NOT GUARANTEE, REPRESENT, OR WARRANT THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, AND YOU AGREE THAT FROM TIME TO TIME APPLE MAY REMOVE THE SERVICE FOR INDEFINITE PERIODS OF TIME, OR CANCEL THE SERVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT."
And there's nothing to do with it. We all agreed that Apple DOES NOT GUARANTEE anything about iCloud. You're not paying for the service, your'e paying for EXTRA SPACE. You can have iCloud FOR FREE if you want. And of you run a business using iCloud mail, that means that you didn't read the rules carefully: I wouldn't run ANYTHING of the provider says that will not guarantee the service. The rule is clear, it's up to us read it and make a choice.

Sites using TALEO for job searches no longer works in 19, worked in last official 18 release

Company websites which use the TALEO job search/apply app/site, no longer work right in 19, they worked fine in 18.xx. Specially, the job search function does not work right when entering the TALEO job search parameters then hitting SEARCH FOR JOB does nothing. AN example site (which does not require registration) is https://nielsen.taleo.net/careersection/3/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en. If I make selections for JOB FIELD and/or LOCATIOn then hit SEARCH FOR JOB, nothing happends. Sites using TALEO worked fine in the last offical 18.x release. TALEO worksd fine in IE 7&Chrome 25.
Clearing the cache does not change behavior. Finally did a full FF reset--no change.

I am running Firefox version 19.0.2 and I have the same problem. I am able to filter using Internet Explorer which I really don't like. Rather than users having to figure out why this isn't working either Taleo needs to fix their scripts or a fix needs to happen in Firefox.

Search Criteria - job search for candidate - TREX

I need to add branches field to selection criteria for job search function( candidate pages). in standard we have
functional area,hirarchy level,country,Work contract type,Education level.
i was able to add branches successful , but when i search which branches no results .
what i have to configure to get the excepted results.

When add new elements to a search mask, via customizing, you need to add that specific field also to the search profile.
In a search mask, you have the infocategory and field stored. Assign those to the search profile you want to enhance. In case of a requisition it is ERC_REQ. In case of postings INT_POER and EXT_CAND.
After doing this, you need to recreate search profiles. After indexing you will find it.

Erecruitment Job Search

In Erec we have a Standard Job search Webdynpro Component HRRCF_C_SEARCH_UI Where we can search for the Jobposting based on Parameters like Functional Area, Corporate Title, Country, Location and Contract type,
When we search based on Country and Location only for few postings it will be unsuccessfull but without giving any search criteria we are able to get all the postings. This is happening only for few Posting remaining can be search on all the parameters,
We are searching for the Postings which are created earlier and the Background Job which runs the program RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES has been completed to in frequency of 30 minutes.
When i debug the code i see it searches in the Function Module HRRCF_MDL_SRCH_SEARCH and in that some SKWF_INDEX_COMBINED_SEARCH_XML with some query table ..
Is this some kind of TREX? I have no idea about this.
Please Help me out.

E-Recruitment Job Search Template_Country field comes from where

Helo Experts,
I am facing a problem in Job search Template. We have only one country, where we operate E-Recruitment, so I have created few branches and assigned these Branches only to one company code in configuration.
But in the Job Search template in Application cockpit shows two countries, where i am understanding from where this unknown country is coming inaddition to the configured.
Can you pls help me out, from which table of configuration step the country is picked up and populated in Job Search template.

Hello Gita,
as you found out cluster INDX is used for caching the branch location information. The information is maintained by the class CL_HRRCF_BRANCH e.g. in method UPDATE_CLUSTER. The class and its methods are part of the e-recruiting application for maintaining branches (in standard found on the e-recruiting administrator startpage / portal role).
These internal functions of the e-recruiting applications are the reason why you should not maintain the branches from IMG or directly in TCode BP. Only using the e-recruiting applications ensures that everything is maintained correctly.
To solve your current issue I'd suggest to maintain the branch again using the link of the e-rec administrator. Set the country to a different value, save it and reset it to the value you want. This should update the cluster.

No result with Job Search in E-Recruiting (WD ABAP)

Hi all,
we're using E-Recruiting 6 Enh. Pack 3 and WebDynpro Abap for the services
available to external candidates, but we have the following problem:
the Job Search (free text or criteria) always returns no result even if the T-Rex works
correctly testing it via the transactions on the backend (it gives the result we expect).
Any idea about what we missed?

E-Rec@ Job Postings are not reaching to Job Search !!!

Dear All,
We are facing an issue in Job Postings:
1.Published Job Posting (from 01.09.2011 to 27.09.2011) is not reaching to Job seasrch (under E-rec self services role >Employement Oppourtunites>Job Search.
2. If we EXTEND the period of Job posting (from 27.09.2011 to 31.10.2011) shld show under internal job search (under E-rec self services -->Job search). But here extended Job posting also not reaching to the Job search.
Can any one share the valuable opinion on this issue.

We have configured DMZ for external access to IREC page. Now the message that was set in IRC_VIS_QUICK_SEARCH is reflecting in internal IREC site http://internalsite/OA_HTML/IrcViitor.jsp but it is not reflecting in external site http://externalsite/OA_HTML/IrcVisitor.jsp. Please help.

I am getting duplicate selection options for unregistered job search. Functional Area, contract type, country are being displayed two times. I looke dup search templates, but didnt find any duplicate values.

thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I had more than one search template assigned in the search tempalte groups table. I removed that, which solved the problem.

Job Search is not working in E-Recruitment

When I used to search the Job with the link "Job Search" as an internal candidate that has been published already with the released status, am getting an error message as "An Internal error occurred". As with the forum, i checked with the job RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES has been scheduled or not. First it was not maintained, then i maintained it. TREX is already configured and checked with the transaction SKPR07 and checked with the transaction SRMO for RFC destinations and also for the Index category but still i couldn't able to search the Job in Job Search link.
But i can able to find the Job that has been published using "Apply Directly". Please give me the solution to fix the issue.

usually going through the note does the trick. If not, it is difficult to say from the distance. I had some issues within an EhP4 system that some other configuration error resulted in a SLG1 message for the search but so far I have not found a pattern which could cause the error other than the settings mentioned in the note.
So you will probably have to dig into the system to get to the reason. Depending on your project position you might need some developer support here. First of all you have to find out when / where the error is written into SLG1 first general question - is it within the periodical services or is a frontend user doing something in the application which writes the logs. Usually you can see in the log entry which user caused it. If you have a determined batch user it is easy to find out otherwise you might need to check log time or temporarly assign a user not in the frontend.
If it is in the periodical services I would deactivate them and after some time (depending how often the error appeared you need to wait till it is highly probable that a new service run writes a log) i would run each service at once. Therefore you get into periodical service customizing get the classes for the services and run the "run"-Method in SE80 / SE24 class test. After each class check if there is a SLG1 entry to get the right service. If you have the service I'd wait again, put a breakpoint into cl_hrrcf_exception_handler method write_exception_log (central method writing SLG1 entries) run the services again via the class test and check where the error is caused. From here it is common developer work to get the reason.
If the SLG1 entry is caused by the frondend interaction I'd directly start with debugging in the mentioned method.
Sorry to be not able to offer an instance solution.

I have created requisition job posting and publication(For external) and released them. but when logon to the system as External user this Posting is not listed in Job search section. is there any solution for this ? must i check something in posting table or something else ?

Job Search in E-Recruitment not working

An error message is getting dispalyed when "Job Search" link is clicked. It is throwing a big dump with the heading "Error when processing your request".

I would suggest have a look at the table in spro --> personal management --> recruitemnt --> basic settings --> maintain search help
also
spro --> sap e recruiting --> tech settings --> sap ecc integration --> setup integration with OM
These should solve your problem. We were facing a similar problem.

Increasing the Number of Candidate Job Search Results in E-Recruiting

Hello,
Would anyone happen to know where to go to increase the number of candidate candidate job search results in E-Recruiting? It's default value is set as only allowing 10 jobs per page. If you want to display more you have to click the down arrow. How would I allow it to show, say 25, or maybe 50 per page?
Any help you can provide would be appreciated!

None of which increased the number of hits that appeared on the page. The value still remained at 10 per page.
It would appear that somewhere in the result_list.bsp view for hrrcf_unrg_srch that this is being set. If I view the methods for class CL_HRRCF_UNRG_SRCH_HL_RESULT_V I find three that would appear to be relivent: PREPARE_HITLIST, GET_HITS_PER_PAGE and SHOW_HITLIST. However, I am having trouble tracking down where the default value of 10 hits per page is being set at.
