ICloud Password challenge when creating email on iPhone
Everytime I go to send an email on my phone from my work account, I am asked to enter my iCloud password. I have tried to store it everywhere I could find on my phone, but the problem persists. This problem started after the last iOS update. Can anyone help with this?

I have a password problem. After importing data and settings from one MacBook Pro to a new one, I have to put my iCloud password in when re-starting the new computer, but the password from the old computer in when waking the computer from sleep. I want to use my iCloud password on both computers consistently. How can I fix this?
The only other place to change a password for the computer login is in Users & Groups preferences. But I don't really know enough here to fix your problem. You can try fixing the keychain:

If you can't access your keychain, or forget your password If you can't get into your keychain file because you've forgotten your password or the keychain file appears to be corrupt, there are a couple of options.
First, if you've forgotten your password, you can use the "Keychain First Aid" utility to make the keychain password the same as the login password. This can be accomplished via the following process:
1. Open Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
2. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Preferences"
3. Click the "First Aid" tab
4. Make sure the "Synchronize login keychain password" box is checked
5. Close the Preferences window
6. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Keychain First Aid"
7. Enter your username and password
8. Click the "Repair" button
The second option is to completely delete your keychain then recreate it. This routine is useful if your keychain appears to be corrupt or otherwise inaccessible. This can be accomplished as follows:
1. Launch Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
2. Click "Show Keychains" in the lower-left corner of the window.
3. Select the problematic keychain from the left-hand pane.
4. Navigate to the "File" menu and select "Delete Keychain '(name of keychain)'"
5. Check all options for deletion and press "OK"
6. Create a new keychain by going to the "File" menu, then "New" and selecting
"New Keychain"
7. You can now make this keychain your default if you desire by selecting it, then
going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make '(name of keychain)' Default"
Login as root and perform repair In some cases, problems with keychains can only be resolved when logged in as the root user.
First, you want to enable the root user:
1. OS X Mountain Lion: Enable and disable the root user
2. OS X Lion: Enable and disable the root user
3. Mac OS X 10.6: Enabling the root user
4. Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X
After enabling the root user, and logging in under this account, again open Keychain Access. First attempt repairs using Keychain First Aid, and failing that, delete then recreate the keychain as described above while logged in as root.
Persistently asked for stored passwords If you are persistently asked for passwords in various applications that you have specified should be remembered in a keychain, your "login" keychain may not be active for one reason or another.
Navigate to ~/Library/Keychains/ (this is the Library folder inside your user's home folder). Find the file named "login.keychain" and double-click it.
Failing that, select the "login" keychain within the Keychain Access application and make sure it is the default keychain by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make 'Login' Default"
Turn off Keychain synchronization in applications having problems If specific applications are experiencing issues when accessing password-protected material, the Keychain may be to blame.

Icloud password loop when declining an ask to buy purchase using family sharing
My daughter asked to buy an app using family sharing. I received the notification on my phone and when I hit decline, it asks for my icloud password. When entered, it asks continuously and will not finalize declining the purchase. Same process on my wife's phone. We were able to approve a purchase, just not decline one.

I was having this problem with my youngest daughters account. Your post about establishing the payment history apart from family sharing made a lot of sense. My oldest daughter has had an account for some time that she had been adding iTunes gift cards to, so her account was "established" before it was added to our family sharing group. I had no trouble approving her purchases.
I had set up an account for my youngest daughter a long time ago, but used it only for email and iMessage on her iPod. My ID was used for purchases on the device. After Family sharing was launched and she got an iPad for Christmas, I decided to set up her ID as the primary account on her new iPad and added her to family sharing.
The first problem I ran into with Family Sharing was enabling the "Ask to Buy" function because since I set up accounts for my daughters a long time ago they were both showing as adults. I learned from another post that the fix for this was to change their birthdates to January 1, 2001. I did this and it has them listed as Age 14 on their family sharing profiles - fine.
I then ran into the same problem with Ask to Buy that David Wilkie described above. My fix was a little different from yours and less intensive.
Removed my youngest daughter from family sharing
Purchased an app using her account alone (with an iTunes gift card attached) to establish a purchase history.
I then re-added her to our family sharing group.
I had her purchase a song using "Ask to Buy" and it worked as expected.

Hi, I forgot my icloud password and my ipodtouch keeps asking me for my icloud password. When I enter my apple ID password, it will not accept it. I have been trying to find where I can reset my icloud password with no success. Please can someone help?

I changed the password to one of my gmail accounts. My MacBook Air accepts the new password and shows me email, my iPhone 5s tells me it's not a valid password and does not show me email. In settings, I change the password and pw is accepted. How can I get 5s to accept new pw?

1. I turned iCloud OFF on my iPad before syncing to be sure that my contacts, etc. WOULD update on my computer, without DUPLICATING on my iPad. Didn't work. I have 6 of every contact & 6 of every Calendar entry!
2. Then I synced my iPhone 5 WITHOUT turning iCloud off. Not only did I wind up with 6 of every contact on my iPhone, but also 6 of every Calendar entry! PLUS, I maxed out disc space on my computer, and barely made it through the sync!
Please tell me there is a way to eliminate all the duplicates in one complete motion! It took me months to get rid of them on all three devices after the last sync, before I could perform this sync.

On iphone when creating emails, how to word wrap the text
I have several people, ncluding myself, when creating or responding to emails the text runs on and on and does not wrap to the next line. Can you help?
Come on apple... There are so many complaints about this going back years. The text wraps when looking at the sent email. Please fix the problem in the composition window!

Foolishly have forgotten cloud password and security questions. It offers to email the password but as there is no password on the iCloud it won't let email thru, which creates a perpetual circle of no emails. Help please

How do I change my iCloud password if the authentication email never reaches me?
I'm changing my email from cox to gmail. My icloud account is with my cox ID and I don't know the password. When I try and change it, the system message says it has sent an authentication email but it never arrives. I have my cox emails forwarded to my gmail account. Reset icloud password does not send email
iCloud is refusing to recognize me for Web sign-in although I am receiving and sending email using Apple Mail on both my Macbook Pro and iPad. I have tried to reset the password, it says an email has been sent, but no email ever arrives.
Contact Apple for assistance resetting your password by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password. The call should be free but you will need your serial number to set it up, which you will find in Settings>General>About on your iOS device.

New iphone 5: whenever I check my email, as it's checking the icloud account it keeps popping up "Password is Missing". I have checked al my account details and I am inputing everything right and can access icloud on other devices. I've rebooted my iphone and still no go - any suggestions?
You have to do the following to get your new Apple/iCloud ID signed onto your device:
1. Go to Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to the old email address (do not verify it - this is temporary):
Apple - My Apple ID
2. Go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and Delete the iCloud account. Use your current Apple ID password when asked. Follow the prompts to delete the account
3. Go back into Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to your new email address (you may need to verify it again)
4. Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign onto iCloud with your new Apple ID. Turn on the options you want sync'd with iCloud, give it a little time to push the info down to your device.

I have read all the past threads on this, did anyone find a permanent resolution to the problem? I have it going on now and it is driving me crazy.
Comcast can be interesting sometimes. They have been my provider, and have had some issues, especially when they changed the port number they use for mobile devices. They have a support page specifically for the iPhone settings, but you may want to delete the account from the iPhone and re-enter it, making sure to enter the username and password everywhere it asks for it, even where it says optional.
