ICloud PC install failed (drive g:/ is not valid)

Hello,
When I try to installe the ICloud Control Panel on my PC (Win 7), the install failed.
He said "Drive g:/ is not valid".
For information, my documents are on a server called g:/.

Hi,
This issue is because of not following the OEDQ installation guide. When you are trying to deploy OEDQ with existing director.properties file, it tries to connect directly to the existing Databse specified in director.properties which but with new installation it will not find exixting tables.
Solution is simple just delete director.properties file and restart webserver. This will install director. Your installation will be completed after putting DB director and result details on the launchpad screen.

  • Install Failed: OS X could not be installed on your computer.

    So my Macbook was bought last December 2012. It's specs should be able to run Mavericks.
    I've downloaded the software already, so far so good.
    When installation starts, it fails and I get this message:
    "Install Failed: OS X could not be installed on your computer. OS X can't be installed on the disk because a recovery system can't be created. Visit www.apple.com/support/no-recovery to learn more"
    Now it tells me to go to this page:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4649
    Then I find the message above and tells me to go here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3926
    Then I try the solution in the 2nd link and still the installation fails.
    Please note that I have a Windows 7 BootCamp Partition that I would as much as possible not delete or reformat as I have too many important stuff there.
    Any ideas?

    My WAG is that you have a HD space limitation.  I've never used Boot Camp so bear with me.  Is there any way that you could back up the contents elsewhere so that you can reformat and repartition?
    I have an External Hard Drive here but it's currently being used as storage space for some of my media. Is it possible to backup to a partition of an external hard drive?
    I've never done it but it should be possible.  Don't forget that a "partition" acts like a real drive and it is a real drive in every sense of the word except that it shares a physical disc with another drive.
    Will try that once I get home from University later. Should I back up both OS X and Bootcamp into the hard drive or just one of them? Then reinstall Mountain Lion, then install Mavericks? Did I get that right?
    I don't see any reason why you need to reinstall Mountain Lion.  It's been a long time since I've done any partitioning but, if I remember correctly, you can enlarge the main partition provided that there is no data in the secondary (Boot Camp) partition.  If I'm correct, you'd need to first back up Boot Camp, then erase the original BC partition, then resize the partitions and finally load Mavericks.

  • Install fails 10.5 could not validate contents additional speech voices

    I am trying to install 10.5 on a G5 I get the message install fails  could not validate contents of the additionalspeechvoices package, is there a way to fix this?

    It is a black retail retail disk,
    Didnt have any troubles with installing it the first time, then the Maxtor hard drive went bad, installed it to a new drive and didnt have any troubles untill recently, but tried to reinstall again, but get the message install fails could not validate contents of the additionalspeechvoices package, now. • Install Failed. Installer could not copy the necessary support files

    I replaced the hard drive in my MacBook 13ac OS X" late 2009. I am trying to reinstall th OS and applications from th CDs that came with the computer. When I start the computer and try to install the OS, it starts to install, after about 2-3 minutes I get the following message. Install Failed. Mac OS X could not be installed on your computer. The Installer could not copy the necessary support files. Click restart to restart your computer and try installing again. I have done this several times with no luck. Is the CD missing something? Is there another way to do this?

    Disconnect any attached hard drives.
    Boot off the disk and try running Disk Utility Repair Disk and Repair Permissions. If that is successful, try to re-install. If that doesn't work boot off the disk and use Disk Utility to erase and reformat the drive as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

  • Upon install, error message says "key not valid in specified state?"  How do I fix this?

    The os I am using currently is windows vista.  I attempted numerous updates only to have each one fail with the same message..."Key not valid in specified state."  I tried full removal and reinstall only to get the same message.  Any remedies?

    For "Key not valid for use in specified state" errors try moving the folder RSA from
    C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA to say C:\RSA (just in case there should be a need to restore it) then try installing again. This folder appears to act as a cache and should be rebuilt automatically as required.

    Hi Gert.C
    If you don't deploy your LightSwitch successfully on your side, you could follow this guide to
    deploy a Three-Tier LightSwitch application.
    > - Strong name signature not valid for this assembly vslshost.exe.
    For this
    vslshost.exe issue, our community members gives detailed explanation before.
    You publish your LS App somewhere (even on your development machine) & run the setup program found in the folder that you publish to
    Once the application is published, there'll be an icon in the Start Menu to run the application from. You can run the published application by clicking on the icon.
    You can, but shouldn't, actually run the published application from the setup.exe file, but defintely not "vslchost.exe".
    hope it helps.

  • Re installed PS6,  serial number is not valid

    I have changed my computer and re installed PS6, but it says  that my serial number is not valid for adobe cc2014, how do I know what it is valid for, and from where can I get it?

  • Installing pse 7 serial number not valid

    I was having issues with a pse 7. I uninstalled then downloaded a fresh copy from Adobe. I entered my serial number and it returned 'not a valid serial number'. But it is valid.

    Thanks pwillener. I did that before. It took me to my account and there I found the serial number that exactly matches the one I found on my computer but again, PSE 7 says it is not valid. I even turned my firewall off during installation in case that was the problem.

    From what I've read online this problem seems to be born of installing SCCm on the D: drive which throws dotNET. A few people seem to have had some luck with editing two of the dotNET files (regsvcs.exe.config and InstallUtil.exe.config) to include
    the following lines:
        <runtime>
            <loadfromRemoteSources enabled="true"/>
        </runtime>
    In pursuit of a fix, I took backups of both files and then made the change to regsvc.exe.config but I was unable to do the same with Installutil.exe.config (opening the file in Admin Notepad would only let me Save As...).
    Can anyone suggest what the problem could be? Am I barking up the wrong tree with the config file editing? Any info/advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    You could try to copy Installutil.exe.config and edit the copy-file. Then copy the edited file to replace the old file.

  • SCCM 2012 - sms_notificaiton_server install fails, bgbisapi.msi could not be installed

    Hi,
    installed a SCCM 2012 R2 Primary site on a 2012 R2 server on the D: drive. Everything seemed to go well, however i am am now encountering issues with the SMS_NOTIFICATION_SERVER in that the site component manager is unable to install it. The status message
    viewer informs me that, "Site Component Manager failed to install this component, because the Microsoft Installer File for this component (bgbisapi.msi) could not install."
    When i check the Bgbsetup.log, i see the following lines:

    Having done a bit of reading, it seems a few other people have come accross this issue before:
    https://rikkoss.wordpress.com/2013/12/11/tip-do-not-change-the-default-installation-location-for-configmgr-2012/
    http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/7401-sms-notification-server-failed-critical-sccm-sp1-sql-2012-sp1/
    The solution for these folks seems to be to edit 2 files in the .Net folder,InstallUtil.exe.config and Regsvc.exe.config,
    and insert the following code:
    <runtime>
    <loadFromRemoteSources enabled=”true”/>
    </runtime>
    However, this hasn't worked for me and i'm still getting stuck with the same error messages. Since i'd really like to avoid reinstalling SCCM on the C: drive, can anyone suggest any possible solutions to this issue?

  • Failing Drive - Disk Utility not working either

    Recently my drive started failing to the point that it was clear that I needed to do some maintenance.
    I'm backed up to an external HD, so I wasn't too worried about saving the image - just wanted to get up and running again. I started by trying to use the repair functions under the First Aid tabs. This would run for a while and error out a little less than 1/2 way through.
    Because I didn't care about saving the data, I decided I'd got through the erase and reinstall process. The erase seemed to work ok, but reinstalling would fail. I tried this process 3 times and wasn't able to install correctly.
    This morning, I decided to try and really wipe the drive using the "Zero Out" function. That process has been running for about 3 hours thus far and seems to have frozen at about 1/20 complete (that is - on the progress bar, 1/20 is blue while the rest remains white.) It hasn't moved in about 2 hours.
    Any thoughts on next steps for:
    a) What to do about this freeze
    b) Assuming I can get out of the freeze how to proceed?
    thanks
    (oh, and I'm not certain about the OS version - it's what came with the computer (15 inch G4) but I can't eject the disk as the computer thinks it's still mid-process.

    Hi there - thanks for the quick responses. Since I started looking through these post, I've been amazed at the community.
    First, I think that you may be correct and the zero out is moving, albiet glacially. I put a sticker on the screen to mark progress and it seems to have done something (although, at this point, it could be an optical illusion.) I'd guess that it's closer to 1/10 done now after 8 hours.
    My computer was exhibiting strange behavior - and the annoying (constant beachball) became the very annoying (would boot only every 3rd time, sometimes not at all) to the unusable (upon boot - PANIC! error.)
    I backed up to a LaCie external drive using the included "Silverkeeper" SW. I am not familiar with the restore procedure, but had the idea once the computer started booting into PANIC! (probably a bad idea) that I'd use the fix utility and if not just start with a clean slate and go again.
    As for the specific questions asked -
    I did not run S.M.A.R.T. (and am not sure what it is)
    I did not run a HW test.
    Thanks,
    Stephen

  • Stand alone APEX listener install fails with timezone region  not found

    Hi,
    I have searched the forum but found only a thread for the installation with Goldfish.
    I am very new to all this so I apologise if my problem is too simple, but please help as I am very frustrated with it.
    I have a 10.2.0.4 database on Windows XP for testing with.
    I installed APEX into it successfully, then down loaded the listener.
    I have to Java installations, one under my Oracle Home, the other under Middleware where I have JDeveloper installed.
    If I try $ORACLE_HOME/jdk/bin/java -jar apex.war it throws a Unsupported class version so I tried with the Middleware jdk and it appeared to install.
    I then went to http://localhost:8080/apex/listenerConfigure and entered the password for APEX_PUBLIC_USER and the info for a basic connection, it fails with the following message
    Request could not be processed due to error:
    Sat Apr 30 00:06:30 CAT 2011
    ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-01882: timezone region not found
    Please if anyone can help me through asap this I would be most grateful

    Yay, I found the solution:
    I started by running:
    begin
    for v_rec in (select tzname,tz_offset(tzname) v_offset from v$timezone_names
    where tzabbrev='CAT') loop
    dbms_output.put_line('tzname '||v_rec.tzname||', offset '|| v_rec.v_offset);
    end loop;
    end;
    SQL> /
    tzname Africa/Khartoum, offset +03:00
    tzname Africa/Windhoek, offset +01:00
    tzname America/Anchorage, offset -08:00
    tzname US/Alaska, offset -08:00
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    I then added -Duser.timezone="+01:00" before the apex.war ie
    java –jar -Duser.timezone="+01:00" apex.war
