Icloud photos use different amount of memory on ipad and iphone. Anyone know why?
i Recently set up photos library on icloud. I have the same number of pictures on both my ipad and iphone, yet the memory usage is nearly double on the iphone. i can't think of a reason for this. Does anyone have an explanation?
So does that mean, that if I have more available memory on one of the devices, then the pictures will be stored at a higher resolution?
I have both devices set to optimise the pictures, There are the same number of pictures on each device, yet on the iPad they use 150mb but on the iphone they use 300mb
There is a little more space available on the iPhone, so maybe the resolution they are stored at, is varied according to space?

When attempting to print a 4X6 photo using Elements 12 it prints out 2X3. Does anyone know how you can get hold of a live person at Adobe?
I've never done a forum and am not exactly sure what to do from here. I

I have different apple ids for my ipad and iphone - how do i sync so that the apps appear on both devices, e.g errands
If both accounts are authorised on the computer's iTunes that you sync them to, and the relevant apps are on that computer, then you should be able to sync them to both devices. The apps will be tied to the account that originally bought/downloaded them, so only that account will be able to download updates to them.
If you log into the other account on a device and re-download its apps onto them then you risk tying the device to that account for 90 days (and similarly redownloading on a computer's iTunes) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627 -

The computer will not erase the information. Each device will show up in iTunes as a separate device and you can control the information for each device through iTunes.

Is your iMac the computer you normally sync your iPad to?
If so put your photos into albums in iphoto on your imac. Then start iTunes on your iMac and connect your iPad to your iMac. In iTunes on your iMac select your iPad in the left column and selectPhotos in the right column. Scroll down and select the photo albums you want on your iPad. Then select Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes. This will load the sleuthed photo albums onto your iPad. Do the same for iPhone. -
With the latest upgrade to iPhoto, Keywords no longer display under the photo, even when Display Keywords is turned on. Does anyone know why?
Keywords have been moved into the Info tray at the right. Don't know why it was changed. You can send a request to change it back to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.

I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light on the below:
I have a html webresource which is hosted on an entity form. The resource is using Jscript to create and execute a fetchXML request which aggregates up some data from child records.
The HTML page when executed as a stand alone page performs perfectly - retrieving the data and summing up nicely. When I host the resource in the entity form though, it fails silently. No big blow up or anything, but it doesn't render the fetchxml results.
Analysis using the F12 IE tools shows me that when I create the fetchXML request object using
var req = new XMLHttpRequest();
When rendering the html page stand-alone the req object is of type "DispHTMLXMLRequest", wheras when the html is executed from within the webresource on the entity form, the req object is of type "XMLHttpRequest".
The latter seems to be unable to parse the XML results, even though it is exactly the same XML response from the server. I get an "unspecified error" when the success callback function tries to render the responseXML. I've also tried to call
parse.XML(req.response) - this also gives an "unspecified error"
I've used fiddler to confirm that the fetchXML is executing successfully in both cases, and returning results. The responses from the crm webservices are identical.
The last thing that I've noticed is that if I use IE tools to make the browser run in IE8 document mode, then the page renders correctly both as a stand alone page and as an embedded web resource. (The req object is created as DispHTMLXMLHttpRequest rather
than an XMLHttpRequest)
Can anyone explain why the constructor of the req var acts differently when running in a webresource to what it does as a stand alone html page? Is there a way that I can explicitly control the behaviour of the constructor?
Additionally - can anyone explain why IE8 seems to work for the embedded webresource, wheras all IE versions above 8 fail?
I'll re-iterate - this is not an issue with the fetchXML itself - the request to CRM succeeds every time, and responds perfectly. It's an issue with how the Jscript XMLHttpRequest is constructed in different scenarios, and how that Jscript XMLHttpReqeust
object is able to parse the results.

I have an iPhone 5s (iOS 8.1) and an iPad 2 (iOS 8.1). My wife has an iPhone 5 (iOS 8.0.2). I have been trying to set up our icloud accounts so that it will be ready when we buy a mac in January.
When I set up my icloud, the little circular picture that I used on my iPhone 5s did not sync up with the one on my iPad. They are both under the same ID, but it would not automatically sync up. Additonally, I set up a icloud phot album between my wife and I for pictures of our little one. On my phone, when I go to "people" that are synced to that album, it shows my wife and myself, but they both have my picture. And when I do the same on my iPad, it shows a blank for me but my picture for my wife. Confused. Can someone help?

There are also many applications that will grab data from your phone and download it to your computer without using iTunes. That might be the easiest solution. I suggest you check out http://www.macroplant.com. I have not used their software but it tends to be well reviewed. -
Cannot use instant messenger in Yahoo Mail anymore and don't know why
when I go into my Yahoo Mail, I cannot use instant messenger. If I click on someone on line nothing happens at all. I have been told to delete and reload this program (IM) but have tried repeatedly and cannot find it anywhere. Also tried contacting someone on facebook and got no response so I assume it's not working on the chat feature either

It it's only happening on one specific account, that means something about that account is causing the problem. Sounds obvious, right? But the implications and how to fix it aren't necessarily obvious.
It's not likely to be third-party kernel extensions causing the problem, since those will run for all user accounts. If it's a third-party software issue, it's going to be something that is running on just that account. First place to check is your login itmes (System Preferences -> Accounts). Remove items you don't need from that list, and if that doesn't help, remove ALL items from that list.
If that still doesn't help, there's one other thing to check. There are things called LaunchAgents that can be used to keep specific tasks running (possibly re-opening them if they crash or are made to quit by the user), run them at specific times, etc. In the Finder's Go menu, hold down the option key and choose Library. In that folder, find the LaunchAgents folder. What's in there? You can move all the items there temporarily to a folder on the desktop (or anywhere else), then log out and log back in. Does that fix the problem?
Of course, it sounds like the account you're using may be so badly messed up that you can't perform these checks. And the problem may not be third-party software anyway, it could be something that has gotten badly corrupted in your user account, and that can be difficult or impossible to pin down. If you have another admin account that you can use, it may be easiest to simply start using that account, and delete the one that's not working. Also, regardless of what the problem is and how you solve it, since one possibility is some kind of corruption, it wouldn't be a bad idea at all to repair your hard drive with Disk Utility. -
I'm setting up a new 5C, want to make sure my calendar transfers over. Doesn't show up in the icloud site, no appointments. What am i missing?
Make sure you are entering events on an iCloud calendar, and not the On My iPhone (iPad) calendar or on a calendar from an external account such as Gmail (Google), Yahoo, or and exchange account. Only your iCloud calendar will sync with iCloud.
